U.S. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has introduced legislation to establish an agency dedicated to combating corruption within the executive branch, citing President Donald Trump’s financial disclosures showing more than $2 billion in investment income for 2025, including approximately $1.4 billion tied to cryptocurrency.
The bill also points to the Trump family’s ownership of a cryptocurrency fund valued at more than $1 billion that it says is linked to foreign governments. Senators Andy Kim, Jeff Merkley, and Alex Padilla have joined Schumer as cosponsors of the legislation.
