Strategy Says Bitcoin Treasury Can Cover Dividend Payments for 31 Years

Strategy’s Bitcoin reserve is large enough to cover approximately 31 years of dividend payments, compared with around 1.8 years of coverage from its U.S. dollar reserve, Corporate Treasurer Chaitanya Jain said.

The assessment came as founder Michael Saylor disclosed that the company held 843,775 Bitcoin as of July 19. Saylor also said Strategy had increased its U.S. dollar reserve by $225 million, bringing the total cash reserve to $3.2 billion. 

The figures highlight the scale of Strategy’s Bitcoin-backed balance sheet relative to its cash position and dividend obligations.
