Tether Plans AI Apps for Developing Markets as User Base Tops 650 Million 

Tether is preparing smartphone-based artificial intelligence tools for developing markets as the stablecoin issuer broadens its operations into technology and infrastructure, CEO Paolo Ardoino said, according to Fortune.

The planned AI products will focus on health, finance and sports. Tether intends to use relatively lightweight models that can run directly on mobile devices.

The initiative comes as Ardoino says Tether’s global user base has surpassed 650 million. 

Tether has yet to set out a launch timetable for the AI applications. Ardoino also did not disclose how the company plans to monetize the products.
