USDT is finding broader use in commerce and dollar-based savings across Venezuela, Bolivia, Argentina, and Turkey, with adoption taking different forms in each market, according to CriptoNoticias.
In Venezuela, businesses use USDT for import and export settlements, while commercial transactions are driving adoption in Bolivia. Argentina has seen USDT activity through peer-to-peer (P2P) trading, while Turkish users turn to the token as a hedge against inflation.
Across these markets, USDT is also being used as a digital alternative to the U.S. dollar and as a store of value, with demand linked to pressures including weakening local currencies, limited access to dollars, and financial restrictions.
According to Tether chief Paolo Ardoino, USDT has become an important payment tool in several emerging markets, supporting transactions within countries and across borders.
