Former Google CEO and Billionaire, Eric Schmidt has joined oracle provider Chainlink Labs as a strategic advisor.
In addition to his work in Google as CEO, Eric Schmidt has served as a technical advisor to Alphabet, chairman of the US Department of Defense’s Innovation Council, chairman of the National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence, board member of Apple, Princeton University, Carnegie Mellon University, and the Mayo Clinic.
Eric Schmidt is now an advisor helping build #Chainlink.

Chainlink co-founder Sergey Nazarov said:
“Blockchain networks and Chainlink oracles are at a crucial inflection point in terms of growth and adoption. Eric’s experience and insights around building global software platforms for next-generation innovation will be invaluable as we help developers and institutions usher in a new age of economic fairness and transparency.”
Forbes estimates his net worth is roughly $24.3 billion, making him one of the richest advisors in cryptocurrency companies.
Eric Schmidt is one of the early proponents of Bitcoin. Wikileaks founder Julian Assange introduced him to cryptocurrency in 2011.
Schmidt previously described Bitcoin as “a remarkable achievement.”
In October Associated Press (AP) announced the use of Chainlink smart contracts to put its journalistic information on the blockchain.
One of the largest telecommunications companies in Switzerland, ‘Swisscom’ joined Chainlink in August.
