Tesla Inc chief Elon Musk said on Tuesday the electric carmaker will accept dogecoin for merchandise on a test basis.
“Tesla will make some merch buyable with Doge & see how it goes,” Musk said in a tweet.

The announcement comes just a day after Musk claimed DOGE could work as a better payment system than Bitcoin. Musk made those comments in his TIMES interview where he was named Time Magazine’s Man of the year.
He said:
“Fundamentally, bitcoin is not a good substitute for transactional currency, Instead, I suggest dogecoin even though it was created as a joke.”
