FLOKI will be building a state-of-the-art school in Tafa Local Government, Niger State, North Central Nigeria.
The Nigerian school will have a fully furnished block of 6 Classrooms and toilets, a fully equipped Technical Block with a Computer Lab, a Library, and an administrative office, a well-equipped playground, a borehole, and a fence and gatehouse.
The Nigerian school will be built in partnership with Tabitha Cumi Foundation, a United Nations Economic and Social Council NGO that has helped empower over 10,000 women and girls through partnerships with organizations and governments such as the Embassy of Japan.
The Nigerian school will serve as the main source of education to Kuchiko Ija, an underserved agrarian community with a population of about 3500 that has to manage a school built through community self-help which is no longer conducive for learning.
Floki is also building a standard school in the Comunidad Las MarÃas community in Guatemala and in the Phou Xang community in Laos.
The school in Guatemala will feature a two-classroom structure with four toilets and one hand-washing station. Floki will also help repair an existing but dilapidated four-classroom structure in the community. The school Laos will feature a three-classroom structure.
The schools in Guatemala and Laos will be built in partnership with Pencils of Promise, a global movement that has helped build 580+ schools that have impacted 211,000+ students from different parts of the world.
