The fast food chain also updated its franchising and Web3 integration plans.

Welly’s, a Shiba Inu-themed fast-food burger joint, has provided updates on plans geared towards opening a new store in Sannazzaro, a commune in the Italian province of Benevento. A team member on the official Discord channel recently highlighted the development.

In the message Welly’s Staff Leader on Twitter shared, the team expressed their excitement about the impending launch of the store. Still, it noted that they were waiting for confirmation from the municipality of Naples before work could commence.

According to the post, the store will be connected to Welly’s Discord through a management system, allowing customers to stay up-to-date on its development as the fast-food joint progresses on the mission to utilize blockchain technology for its food products.

The team assured that an official announcement would be made shortly, as soon as confirmation was obtained. However, they cautioned that it would take at least 7 to 10 working days for confirmation to be received and 130 days to open the store after the announcement.

Updates on the franchising plans were also provided, as the team revealed that they were registering the new logo and establishing the brand identity. They noted that once the registration is done, they will start getting signatures from franchisors.

The team disclosed that they had received interest from locations in Reggio Emilia, Italy, Riyadh, and San Antonin Taxa. Recall that Welly’s noted last April that they had received over 300 franchise applications globally following the partnership with Shiba Inu.

Regarding Web3 integration, they mentioned that they were finalizing an agreement with a web3 agency and would set up an initial partnership for a limited period to help them ascertain if a long-term agreement is feasible.

The team further disclosed that they are exploring ways to keep the community engaged, such as through calls and meetings. This should help improve their relationship with the community. Furthermore, part of the team will be in Tokyo from Feb. 23 to March 3, and they have invited anyone in Tokyo who wants to meet them to get in touch.
