Kusama said the move would help SHIB enthusiasts to differentiate between him and bad actors.

Shytoshi Kusama, SHIB’s lead developer, subscribed to Twitter Blue service to protect Shiba Inu’s community members from falling prey to scammers. Kusama tweeted that he acquired the Twitter blue check mark to enable Shiba Inu enthusiasts to differentiate his account from those owned by scammers.

“Finally got that Blue Check SHIBARMY! You don’t have to worry about scammers (at least on this site) claiming they are me,” said Kusama.

The lead developer expressed gratitude to Shiba Inu community members and assured them he would be making important announcements via the social media platform in the future.

“Thank you for all the well wishes. And even the WENS. This also means I’ll have much more to say here. Stay tuned,” he added.

Kusama’s recent tweet sparked widespread jubilation among members of the community. According to a SHIB enthusiast, the move will make it easier for community members to identify tweets from the lead developer.

The development comes when Shiba Inu’s community members eagerly anticipate the launch of Shibarium, the cryptocurrency’s layer-2 network. Kusama has frequently lamented the growing circulation of FUDs (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubts) related to the project and has made significant efforts to share vital information from trusted sources only.

Shibarium Gets Support from Top Projects

Notably, Shibarium is one of the most anticipated Shiba Inu projects following the massive hype it has received from the development team. Despite no specific date for its official rollout, the L2 network has received enormous support from SHIB enthusiasts and other crypto-related projects.

Last month, leading blockchain infrastructure provider NOWNodes declared support for Shibarium, saying it would provide unlimited access to the L2 network. Shibarium also received support from the cryptocurrency lending platform CoinRabbit. Per an announcement, the crypto lending platform also added support for Shibarium gas token, Bone ShibaSwap (BONE).

Furthermore, Voxel X Network announced on February 28 that it would promote Shibarium across its 75 listed partners when the L2 blockchain eventually launches.

Yesterday, Exodus Wallet disclosed that it had logged Shibarium with its access team. Exodus Wallet made this known in response to calls from Shiba Inu community members, asking it to declare support for the upcoming Shibarium.
