Furthermore, the initiative will enable merchants to expand their customer base and reduce transaction fees. Binance also announced through its official Twitter handle.

Aside from Shiba Inu, these merchants can also accept other Binance Pay-supported cryptocurrencies as payments. Notably, Binance Pay supports more than 70 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Binance Coin (BNB), Dogecoin (DOGE), etc.

“As WordPress powers over 40% of the world’s websites, this new plugin presents significant potential for a diverse range of e-commerce sites, from local artisans to international retailers, to accept crypto payments easily,” Binance said in the statement.

Binance Expands Shiba Inu Use as a Payment Method

Binance has continued to expand Shiba Inu’s use as a payment method. Since Binance Pay added support for Shiba Inu in November 2022, users have been able to spend the crypto asset at stores and businesses that accept the payment service.

Some businesses supporting Binance Pay include Travala.com, Romania’s biggest ticketing platform Entertix, Ukrainian food chain retailer Varus, etc.

The development comes less than a month after Binance partnered with international payment service ivendPay. The partnership allows Binance Pay users to pay for goods and services across over 400 merchants using their Shiba Inu tokens.
