Shiba Inu’s lead developer has reacted to Elon Musk’s tweet regarding the global launch of community notes.

Shytoshi Kusama, the pseudonymous lead developer of Shiba Inu, has reacted to a recent tweet by Twitter boss Elon Musk. In a tweet written in Japanese, Musk expressed gratitude to the handler behind the Community Notes Twitter account.

The Community Notes account provided an update about its testing phase in Japan. Notably, Twitter Community Notes is an initiative that aims to create a better-informed world by empowering people to add context to potentially misleading tweets.

On March 23, 2023, the Community Notes wrote in Japanese that it had commenced recruitment for participants in Japan.

Yesterday, the Community Notes handle announced that the initiative was helpful to people from all perspectives, adding that it will roll out the service globally.

Since the post was written in Japanese, Musk also tweeted in the language, saying, “Thank you very much.”

Shiba Inu’s Lead Developer React

As expected, Musk’s tweet, which attracted over 110.2M views, stirred reactions from Twitter users. Shiba Inu’s lead developer was among those who reacted to the tweet.

Commenting on Musk’s tweet, Kusama asked, “What are the chances…?”

Interestingly, Shiba Inu community members flooded the tweet to decipher Kusama’s comment. While some SHIB enthusiasts tied the tweet to the upcoming mainnet launch of Shibarium, others think the tweet has no relevance to Shiba Inu.

Meanwhile, the tweet might suggest that Kusama was trying to understand the possibility of Twitter Community Notes working effectively.

Importance of Community Notes to Shiba Inu

An initiative like the Community Notes will be of utmost relevance to Shiba Inu enthusiasts. It is worth noting that scammers have been targeting SHIB enthusiasts recently, using different tactics to steal funds from unsuspecting investors.

These scammers sometimes create illicit accounts impersonating Kusama to promote fake giveaways. As reported earlier, malefactors posing as Kusama were seen promoting fake Shibarium giveaways.

The scammers locked the comment section, making it difficult for Shiba Inu team members to discredit the claim directly.

With Community Notes, collaborators can easily add context to these misleading tweets, thus saving unsuspecting Shiba Inu investors.
