XRPL TipBot returns to Twitter after a temporary suspension; Forex Cadet provides a guide on how to send and receive XRP tips using the Xumm wallet.

In a recent tweet, Forex Cadet, the author of the XRPL TipBot xApp, excitedly announced the return of the XRP TipBot to the crypto community. The TipBot, a tipping service on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), had been temporarily disabled due to Twitter’s policy changes affecting developer access to their API.

Forex Cadet expressed relief that the TipBot was now back in service, although not without a few hiccups.

The developer noted that Twitter’s alterations had necessitated certain modifications to the TipBot, which unfortunately took longer than anticipated to implement fully. As a result, users may experience a slight delay in detecting their tweets, but the functionality remains intact.

However, Forex Cadet also cautioned users to exercise patience, as unforeseen issues may still arise. The crypto community is urged to be understanding while TipBot’s performance stabilizes.

The prompt identification and resolution of the initial problem were also mentioned in the tweet. Apologies were extended to users who may have experienced difficulties utilizing the TipBot at a certain time.

Previously, Forex Cadet had informed users of the temporary suspension, highlighting the impact of Twitter’s policy changes on the XRPL TipBot’s functionality. During the downtime, tip registrations and transactions were not detected, rendering tipping impossible.

How the XRPL TipBot Works

For those unfamiliar with TipBot, a YouTube video titled “All About the New XRP Ledger TipBot” by Forex Cadet offers a comprehensive guide. The video demonstrates how users can send XRP tips to fellow Twitter users by registering with TipBot.

The process involves adding a tip message to any tweet while having the Xumm wallet, a non-custodial crypto wallet, pre-installed on the user’s smartphone. The Xumm wallet will be used to send and receive the XRP tips.

To register with TipBot, users must sign in with a tweet and include a unique code and hashtag in their tweet from the Xumm wallet. The TipBot then detects the tweet, after which users can authorize their preferred address for receiving tips.

Once registered, users can start sending and receiving tips by including a tip message, amount, currency, and appropriate TipBot hashtags in their tweets.

Digital PerspectivesPermaBul, a well-known influencer in the XRP community, demonstrated the tipping message on Twitter.

Notably, if the recipient has a TipBot account, they will receive a notification and can sign the tip. However, if the recipient is not yet registered, the tip will be queued until they create an account within 24 hours.
