The Shiba Inu team has lauded Wirex for enabling millions of users to make payments with SHIB at over 81 million retail shops.
Launched in August 2020, Shiba Inu (SHIB) celebrated its third anniversary yesterday. Accordingly, several users and partners commemorated the project’s stunning growth within three years.
The digital payments platform Wirex was among the projects that lauded Shiba Inu’s thriving ecosystem and impressive milestones. In the euphoria of Shiba Inu’s birthday celebration, Wirex shared a compelling disclosure regarding SHIB payments.
Priding itself as the banking alternative for Web3, Wirex revealed that SHIB joined its platform in 2022. The top payment app said it continues to enable its 5.5M users to buy, exchange and spend SHIB at over 81M retailers worldwide. The Shiba Inu team corroborated these facts, urging users to patronize the service.

Notably, users are rewarded for spending SHIB using the payment platform. “Spend SHIB and get rewarded instantly,” Wirex conveyed in the promotional video shared on Tuesday. In particular, users earn up to 8% rewards for every Wirex ATM card transaction involving SHIB or other crypto assets. Wirex supports over 250 crypto assets.
Rising SHIB Adoption for Payments
It bears mentioning that the adoption of SHIB for payment settlements has remained on the high side lately. Accordingly, members of the ShibArmy are optimistic that these positive developments will help boost SHIB’s value over time.
As published, a strategic partnership occurred between BitPay and Sardine last month. This collaboration aims to enable instant settlements for SHIB and card payments for the canine-themed token in over 180 countries. In particular, the development has enabled BitPay users to perform SHIB transactions up to $3,000 daily with better authorization rates and low fees attached.
