In a recent tweet, US-based crypto exchange Gemini sent the XRP community into a frenzy with a punny tweet about the digital asset. The tweet humorously read:

Is Gemini About to List XRP?
The tweet quickly gained massive traction, amassing an impressive 337k engagements in less than 24 hours of tweeting. Gemini’s sudden interest in XRP sparked speculation among the crypto community, with many wondering if the playful tweet hinted at an imminent listing of XRP on its platform.
Among the comments on Gemini’s tweet, one prominent voice in the XRP community, Blockchain Backer, weighed in with enthusiasm. The XRP influencer playfully nudged Gemini for being a “little late to the re-list party,” urging the exchange to expedite the listing process.
Notably, the recent significant development in the US court system fueled the listing excitement. Three weeks ago, a federal court ruling declared that XRP is not a security, as The Crypto Basic reported.
In response to the landmark decision, Gemini took to Twitter to mention XRP for the first time. It announced its intentions thus:

However, the exchange has not officially announced listing XRP. But the exchange continued tweeting about XRP, as observable from its Twitter page. As The Crypto Basic disclosed, other top exchanges in the United States have already reinstated XRP after the court ruling.
It bears mentioning that Gemini never listed XRP despite the asset’s prominence over the years. The exchange only indicated an interest in listing XRP following the victory secured in the Ripple vs. SEC lawsuit.
XX Coin on XRPL?
Meanwhile, another well-known figure in the XRP ecosystem shared a cryptic observation about the equally cryptic tweet. He drew attention to the absence of the letter ‘E’ in Gemini’s playful tweet. The commenter then mused about a potential connection to a recent tweet from xx.network.
The xx.network had revealed its plans to create a new coin, XX coin, on the XRP Ledger (XRPL). According to the firm, the coin’s utility centers around governance, staking, and a unique postage system for decentralized applications (Dapps).
