Pro-XRP lawyer John Deaton has shared three hints on the potential details of his upcoming “big announcement.”

Attorney John Deaton, the founder of Crypto-Law.US, has given three hints regarding his highly-anticipated “big announcement,” which he intends to share later today.

Deaton’s Upcoming Big Announcement

For context, Deaton tweeted earlier this week that if everything works out, he will be making a big announcement today, September 22.

The tweet left XRP community members guessing, with many asking Attorney Deaton to provide hints that could help them prepare for the so-called “big announcement.”

Notably, Deaton finally shared three hints after Jungle Inc 2.0, a prominent XRP enthusiast, requested a clue regarding the announcement.

“JohnE Deaton can we get a hint on what the possible announcement tomorrow may be?” the XRP enthusiast quizzed. 

Responding, the pro-XRP lawyer noted that the big announcement revolves around a picture he attached to the tweet, the XRP Ledger (XRPL), or the ETH ICO saga.

Deaton’s First Hint

Deaton’s first clue came as a photograph of him critically examining some documents. Although the contents of the docs were not visible from the picture, XRP enthusiasts speculate that the docs could relate to the ongoing SEC v. Ripple lawsuit.

If true, then there is a likelihood that Deaton could be sharing a significant development regarding the lawsuit later today.

Notably, Attorney Deaton is deeply immersed in the lawsuit, representing thousands of XRP holders in the capacity of Amicus Curiae.

Deaton’s involvement in the lawsuit contributed to giving Ripple a partial victory against the SEC.

Clue on XRP Ledger (XRPL)

For Deaton’s second hint, he mentioned that the announcement could be about XRPL. Notably, XRPL is a decentralized public blockchain that is crucial to the functionality of the XRP coin.

If Deaton’s announcement is about the XRPL, then the crypto community could see him share the latest updates related to the leading blockchain technology.

It bears mentioning that Deaton does not frequently comment on the technology aspect of XRP. His tweets regarding the cryptocurrency have mostly been about the SEC v. Ripple lawsuit.

Hint On Ethereum ICO

Recall that top crypto stakeholders, including Deaton, recently joined a major discussion regarding Ethereum (ETH) ICO. This comes after Steven Nerayoff, an early Ethereum adviser, highlighted potential corruption at the SEC during and after the ICO.

Nerayoff also alleged that Ethereum violated the terms of its ICO, adding that it is difficult to ascertain the number of investors that participated in the event.

Shortly after Nerayoff’s allegation, Deaton disclosed that he was working on bringing the early Ethereum adviser on his Crypto-Law TV show.
