Notably, Scroll is a Layer-2 network crafted by Ethereum developers, with a primary focus on meeting the needs of the Ethereum developer community. The team believes the mainnet launch marks a pivotal moment for the blockchain development community as it prioritizes the integration of infrastructure providers.

According to the Scroll team, its services effortlessly enhance the functionalities of Ethereum with zero knowledge technology while maintaining EVM compatibility. The statement read:

“Scroll is designed by and for Ethereum developers. A swift, reliable, and scalable Layer 2 blockchain, Scroll extends Ethereum’s capabilities, enabling apps to scale without any surprises.”

Furthermore, Scroll underscored the role of its bytecode-level EVM-compatible solution. According to the team, the feature delivers an experience virtually indistinguishable from the Ethereum network for developers.

Moreover, Scroll mentioned that the bytecode-level compatibility allows Ethereum-based applications to transition onto the Scroll network without requiring extensive modifications and with reduced cost.

Regarding security, the Scroll team highlighted that a combination of advanced zero-knowledge-proof technology and tried-and-tested EVM models fortifies its network’s foundation. It also stated that Scroll has undergone rigorous rounds of security audits.

Besides, Scroll claims to prioritize code security via open-source participation. The Scroll team mentioned that the meticulous approach was to ensure the platform safeguards the interests of both developers and users.

Also, the Scroll team stated that it aims to mitigate power imbalances within its ecosystem by “maintaining credible neutrality.”

The mainnet launch comes after a year of vigorous testing involving up to 55 million transactions on the network. Notably, market participants have bridged 752 ETH worth $1.18 million from Ethereum to Scroll since the mainnet launch, per data from Dune.
