Ben Armstrong, known in the crypto community as BitBoy Crypto, has proclaimed himself the “Sultan of Solana.”

Ben took to the X app to announce on Thursday, triggering a reaction from the XRP Army. Known as a controversial crypto personality, comments that trailed his message showed members of the XRP community seemed relieved his focus now falls elsewhere.

Ben Armstrong Says He is Still a Part of the XRP Community

According to Armstrong, the declaration of his status as the Sultan of Solana does not imply he no longer maintains affiliations with the XRP army. One of the reactions to his post came from an XRP community member identified as “KENWOOD CAPITAL.” This user noted that the XRP Community has finally gotten rid of Armstrong, who refers to himself as the “XRP Army Supreme Leader.”

Amstrong wasted no time responding to KENWOOD CAPITAL, discounting the claims that the XRP community has gotten rid of him.

Despite his popularity as an influencer in the industry, BitBoy Crypto has fallen out of favor with many people, including his business allies.

Despite his known accolade toward XRP, marked by several bullish predictions for the coin over the years, Ben Armstrong lost faith at a time in the Ripple vs SEC lawsuit. He claimed earlier in May that based on new revelations, there is no longer a guarantee that Ripple will win the SEC in the lawsuit.

Ripple and the XRP community snatched the first victory six weeks after he uttered the pessimism.

Gain for XRP, Loss for Solana

As noted, Ben Armstrong has a rich record of doling out positive calls for XRP. However, community members prefer to profile him based on the latest publicity around his brand.

One X user, TipsyTiger (@TigerMike15), summarized his perception of Ben Armstrong’s self-ascension as the “Sultan of Solana” as a gain for the XRP community and a loss for members of the Solana ecosystem.

What makes this trend interesting is claims from pro-crypto Lawyer Bill Morgan, who observed that the “Solana squad” is smaller than the XRP Army, making the Sultan title a slight demotion for Ben Armstrong.

Sherrie said the XRP community does not want BEN back; he is now Solana’s headache.

XRP CryptoWolf said that no one ever took Ben seriously.
