Cardano is currently making headway in the crypto space as it leads other blockchain projects in terms of development activity.
Fresh data shared by market intelligence platform Santiment, Cardano ranked as the top blockchain with the most development activity over the past 30 days. According to the data, Cardano recorded an impressive 502.47 Github commits in the past month.

Although the figure is lower than the previous month’s data when Cardano saw a total of 611.47 Github commits, the blockchain project still managed to secure the first position. At the time, Cardano still ranked third in Santiment’s standing despite recording over 611 Github commits.
Cardano Leads Other Top Blockchain Projects
Per the recent data, the second position was shared between Kusama Network (KSM) and Polkadot (DOT), as both blockchains saw 484.23 Github commits apiece.
Notably, Hedera (HBAR), Aptos (APT), and Status Network (SNT) took the third, fourth, and fifth positions, respectively. According to the data, these blockchains recorded a combined 1,028.31 Github commits.
Despite maintaining its position as the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap, Ethereum ranks ninth in development activity, with 287.67 Github commits recorded in the past 30 days.
ADA Surges Over 3% in 24 Hours
Interestingly, Cardano’s latest surge in development activity corresponds with the current performance of its native coin, ADA. Data from CoinGecko shows that ADA was up over 3% at press time.
The ninth-largest cryptocurrency by market cap was changing hands at $0.354. Besides its 24-hour spike, ADA is currently up 22% in the past seven days and 41.1% in 30 days.
Will Cardano Lead Development Activity in 2023?
It bears mentioning that Cardano has frequently taken the lead in development activity. As reported earlier, Cardano led the overall development activity in 2022 and 2021.
This year alone, Cardano has led top blockchain projects in development activity, including the months of September.
It would not be surprising if Cardano leads the overall development activity this year again, making it the third time in a row.
