Versan Aljarrah, Host of the Black Swan Capitalist podcast, recently asserted that BlackRock aiming for an XRP ETF would make perfect sense, explaining the reason behind his sentiment.

Recall that ruckus recently erupted following the discovery of an iShares XRP ETF supposedly filed by BlackRock in Delaware. However, certain industry commentators such as Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas and James Seyffart came up to say the filing was fake and did not originate from BlackRock.

Amid the chaos, BlackRock has not officially made a statement confirming or denying the filing. As the uncertainty looms, Versan Aljarrah noted that it would make sense for BlackRock to file for an XRP ETF.

XRP: A Crucial Element in the Finance System

Taking to X, Aljarrah pointed out that XRP is a pivotal element in the growing financial system, arguing that the asset could represent the most effective way to redistribute or consolidate wealth back to the masses.

Interestingly, one argument Aljarrah presented is the extensive ties between major financial institutions and XRP. While some institutions remain discreet about their relationship with XRP, others have publicly acknowledged their connection.

Moreover, Aljarrah contended that dismissing BlackRock‘s interest in XRP would would be a myopic point of view, as such is typical of the strategic moves of financial giants.

According to him,

“Dismissing their (BlackRock’s) involvement and their interest in XRP is very short-sighted because financial giants are always at the forefront of new technology, and these institutions operate strategically and coordinate their moves very carefully.”

In addition, the commentator highlighted the legal battle between Ripple and the U.S. SEC as well as the recent corruption allegations surrounding JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs and other financial institutions connected to the regulatory body.

Aljarrah suggested that corruption ties and intentional leaks may be part of a broader narrative. He proposed that intentional story planting and subsequent discrediting could serve to confuse and mislead, drawing parallels with historical instances of deception in mainstream narratives.

The XRPL’s Multiple Benefits

The crypto enthusiast further examined XRPL, emphasizing its role in addressing a multi-trillion-dollar global monetary transfer challenge. He highlighted the environmentally friendly, scalable, and cost-effective solution that XRP offers

According to him, financial institutions, typically at the forefront of new technology, strategically coordinate their moves. This makes BlackRock’s interest in XRP logical. Aljarrah noted the importance of understanding the geopolitical context and the significance of XRP in signaling a shift away from USD dominance.
