Ripple CEO to Speak on US Crypto Regulation in Boston Institutional Forum Next Month

Date:

The CEO of Ripple, Brad Garlinghouse, has been invited as a keynote speaker for the Boston Institutional Digital Assets Forum (BIDAF) next month.

According to the official notification of the event, Garlinghouse will be addressing the critical topic surrounding U.S. crypto regulation. The forum is scheduled for Monday, December 4, at District Hall Boston, United States.

Notably, the BIDAF stands as a platform where experts in the crypto, blockchain, and regulatory space discuss matters related to the adoption of digital assets in institutional settings. This December event is the second edition of the series.

At this second annual Boston Institutional Digital Assets Forum, industry leaders, including Ripple CEO, will delve into the most pressing issues influencing crypto adoption. Also, the event will showcase innovative solutions shaping the future of finance.

Ripple CEO Discussing U.S. Regulatory Landscape

The forum organizers designed a three-panel session to address various topics impacting digital assets. Ripple CEO and Doug Mehne, chairman of Protego Trust Bank, are the two Keynote Speakers at the conference.

The first panel will be held after Ripple CEO’s keynote and will answer queries surrounding “Regulatory Landscape – will the U.S. get left behind?”

Specifically, the panelists would throw questions regarding the positioning of Asia, Europe, and the UK to spearhead institutional adoption and prompt consideration of such implications for U.S. institutions.

It is worth mentioning the discussions about the U.S. crypto regulatory landscape have become necessary amid the SEC’s unyielding onslaughts at prominent players in the space. Aside from Ripple, crypto businesses such as Coinbase and Binance have ongoing cases with the SEC.

In its most recent action, the SEC has targeted the U.S.-based Kraken crypto exchange, accusing it of operating an illegal platform. These continued episodes of lawsuits against crypto firms have intensified the calls for crypto regulatory clarity in the United States.

Panel Sessions on Institutional Adoption

On the other hand, the second and third panel sessions will center on the components essential for constructing an institutional digital assets infrastructure. They encompass trading, custody, staking, risk management, analytics, and payments.

Moreover, it will explore the convergence of Traditional Finance (TradFi), Centralized Finance (CeFi), and Decentralized Finance (DeFi), unveiling insights into the most appealing market segments for investment.

Notably, John D’Agostino, senior Advisor at Coinbase; Nick Ducoff, Head of Institutional Growth at Solana; and Alex Felix, Chief Investment Officer at CoinFund, are among the Featured Speakers of the forum.

Significantly, the five-hour-long forum will address other crucial topics, such as real-world asset tokenization. Moreover, it will spotlight the transformative impact of blockchain and smart contracts on the overall finance landscape.
