Shiba Inu Team Spotlights MareBears

Recall that Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama first drew attention to the NFT collection in September. As reported, Kusama reacted to a tweet from Shiba Inu’s metaverse advisor, Marcie Jastrow, who congratulated the creators of MareBears.

At the time, the developers behind the NFT only shared a few details about the collection. In the recent development, the team published an exclusive piece in the Shib Magazine, highlighting the core features and capabilities of the NFT drop, dubbed “MareBears.”

Details About MareBear NFTs

For context, MareBears are customizable 3D digital pets created by RSTLSS in collaboration with Paris Hilton, Shib, Ubisoft, bunnyHEAD, and the enigmatic Gremplin.

The NFT gives holders the nostalgia of owning and nurturing the epic Tamagotchi digital pet. Unlike the epic Tamagotchi pet, MareBear holders can nurture the digital collectible via their smartphones and PCs.

Notably, Marebears has a limited supply of 15,000 digital pets, and users can mint each unit on RSTLSS’ official website for 0.077 ETH, worth $167 at press time. However, RSTLSS holders will pay a discounted price of 0.069 ETH ($149.9) for the NFT.

Shib Trait MareBears

The creators of MareBear randomly assigned an array of accessories and traits, including Shiba traits, to these NFTs. Interestingly, the Shib trait feature will be given to your bear when you hold SHIB in the wallet used in minting the digital pets.

Holders of MareBears with Shib traits will be given exclusive benefits when RSTLSS connects to the Shiba Inu metaverse. Furthermore, holders can conveniently change the appearance of their digital pets via the interchangeable “BearParts.”

While MareBears are ERC-6551 tokens, the BearParts are ERC-6059 assets. It is worth noting that each MareBear collectible comes with DNA, giving these digital bears their unique identity.

As seen in the magazine, there are a total of 21 MareBear DNA elements. A bear’s DNA is determined during minting.

Unlike the regular NFTs that sit idle in your wallet, MareBears are unique collectibles that generate Transmutium (T+). Per Shiba Inu, T+ is a precious crystal that can be hoarded, sent, and swapped for RSTLSS assets. These assets can be sold for ETH.

Furthermore, the MareBear NFTs also create a path to art and learning, as holders can access modular courses on 2D and 3D creation.

Aside from minting MareBears on the RSTLSS website, interested users can also purchase the assets on the popular NFT marketplace OpenSea.
