The upcoming release of the updated version of ShibaSwap, the official decentralized exchange (DEX) of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, is at the top of the list. According to Lucie, both versions 1.75 and 2.0 of ShibaSwap will launch in 2024/2025.

As disclosed by Shiba Inu’s lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama, ShibaSwap 1.75 will come before the highly anticipated ShibaSwap 2.0. The upcoming upgrades will introduce new and improved features to the DEX and enhance user experience.

Another update expected to roll out in the Shiba Inu ecosystem in 2024/2025 is Shiba Hub, an app developers tagged as “something extraordinary.” The upcoming app will integrate Shibarium and serve as a resource center and community forum.

Also, Lucie disclosed that upcoming Shiba Inu ecosystem token, TREAT, would be publicly launched by 2024/2025. Upon its public launch, TREAT will play pivotal roles within the Shiba Inu ecosystem, such as serving as a reward token for users who stake SHIB across various liquidity pools.

Interestingly, TREAT would also function as a governance and gas fee token for the ecosystem’s upcoming Layer-3 blockchain solution.

The fourth upcoming development slated to launch in the Shibarium ecosystem in the same time frame is the play-to-earn (P2E) version of Shiba Eternity, Shiba Inu’s collectible card game (CCG).

As reported earlier, the beta testing of Shiba Eternity’s P2E version will commence in Q2 2024. In anticipation of the event, developers have been testing the game in-house in order to identify and resolve all issues associated with the version developed by PlaySide Studios.

Other Upcoming Shibarium Projects

Additionally, Lucie stressed that Shiba Inu’s metaverse project, SHIB: The Metaverse, would be making its debut in 2024/2025.

Recall that the team behind SHIB: The Metaverse announced plans to partially open the project by the end of 2023. However, this has not happened as the community continues to anticipate the project’s launch. Notably, Shiba Inu is eyeing to open the project in 2024/2025.

Furthermore, Lucie mentioned that K9 Finance’s liquid staking derivative platform would be launching on Shibarium in 2024/2025. This disclosure corresponds with a similar update shared by The Crypto Basic.

As reported earlier, the launch of K9’s staking decentralized application will commence in three phases this year. While the first phase will roll out by Q2 ending, the last phase will occur in Q4 2024.

Lucie also highlighted Shiba Inu’s upcoming Layer-3 (L3) blockchain among the list of projects expected to launch in 2024/2025. Recall that Shiba Inu recently raised $12 million in an investment round focused on developing a new privacy L3 blockchain for the cryptocurrency.

Notably, the layer-3 blockchain, which is still in development, is expected to launch on Shiba Inu’s L2 scaling solution, Shibarium. This will begin with the rollout of its testnet in Q3 2024.

Lastly, the marketing expert noted that Shiba Inu would have a fully functional decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) for its native tokens, including SHIB and BONE, by 2024/2025.

Overall, the upcoming developments indicate continued growth and innovation within the Shiba Inu ecosystem, with emphasis centered on improving the cryptocurrency’s DeFi, gaming, community engagement, and technical infrastructures.
