Ex-Twitter CEO Says Bitcoin Will Hit “at Least” $1,000,000 Next 6 Years

Date:

Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey voices his optimism on Bitcoin, projecting it to surpass a $1 million value by 2030.

Dorsey conveyed this bullish sentiment during a recent interview with tech journo Mike Solana. The ex-Twitter boss cited the cooperative nature of the Bitcoin community as a significant factor in his optimistic projection for the decade.

BTC to Reach “at Least” $1M by 2030

During the interview, Mike Solana asked Dorsey to disclose his 2030 projection for Bitcoin. With a touch of humor, Dorsey responded with uncertainty.

However, he shared his belief that Bitcoin could reach “at least a million” within the next six years. He also suggested that BTC might not only reach that figure but could potentially exceed it by 2030.

Furthermore, Dorsey stated that while the price is intriguing, Bitcoin’s most remarkable aspect is its collaborative nature. He emphasized that the efforts of everyone who works on Bitcoin contribute to the betterment of the entire ecosystem. He sees these collaborative efforts as the main factor for higher price targets.

Since stepping down as Twitter CEO, Dorsey has intensified his focus on Bitcoin. His financial services firm, Block, is committing 10% of its Bitcoin-related revenue to further Bitcoin acquisitions.

Notably, the ex-Twitter CEO is not the only industry commentator anticipating a $1 million BTC price. In particular, his bold forecast echoes the sentiments of other industry pundits such as Cathie Wood of Ark Invest, financial author Robert Kiyosaki, and Michael Saylor of MicroStrategy.

These experts all foresee Bitcoin surpassing the $1 million mark as more institutional investors treat it as a digital gold equivalent.

What it Means for Bitcoin to Clock $1M

Meanwhile, at press time, Bitcoin exchanges hands for $62,387, registering returns of more than 121% over the last year. Notably, BTC touched $73,750 two months ago, propelling its valuation to over $1.45 trillion.

At the prevailing market value, the firstborn crypto asset must advance by 1,502% in the next six years to clinch the $1 million target. If Bitcoin’s supply remained stable at 19,696,421 coins by 2030, $1 million per BTC puts its valuation at $19,696,421,000,000 (approximately $20 trillion).

Since Bitcoin typically accounts for more than 50% of the total cryptocurrency market cap, the global crypto market could exceed $40 trillion by then.

Notably, by 2030, Bitcoin would have undergone its fifth halving cycle, precisely by 2028, with a bull market expected to follow the next year. Widespread projections for Bitcoin’s value in this ongoing season are between $150,000 and $250,000.
