XRP Rally Faces XRP/BTC Test as Pair Revisits Long-Running Relative-Strength Battle.
XRP has moved sharply higher in dollar terms, bringing its performance against Bitcoin back into focus. The XRP/BTC pair provides a direct measure of XRP’s relative strength against the world’s largest cryptocurrency, separating XRP-specific momentum from gains occurring across the broader crypto market.
Current Binance market data place XRP/BTC around 0.00001768 BTC, equivalent to roughly 1,768 satoshis per XRP. The pair has gained approximately 4.2% over 24 hours, after trading between roughly 0.0000177 and 0.0000190 BTC. XRP is simultaneously trading around $1.57.

XRP/BTC Has a History of Sharp Rallies and Reversals
XRP’s history shows that major advances against the dollar have not always produced sustained strength against Bitcoin.
The 2017–early 2018 cycle produced one of XRP’s most powerful expansions. XRP surged both against the dollar and Bitcoin before the move eventually reversed. XRP entered 2018 around $1.97 and finished that year near $0.35, illustrating the scale of the retracement that followed the previous cycle’s rapid expansion.
Another major move developed during 2021, when XRP climbed from approximately $0.22 to a yearly high around $1.97. XRP/BTC also experienced periods of strong relative performance during that cycle, but those advances were followed by extended periods in which Bitcoin regained strength against XRP.
That relative weakness remained visible more recently. XRP/BTC traded around 0.0000231 BTC, or 2,310 satoshis, in late 2025, with the pair moving in an approximately 0.00002225–0.00002350 BTC range at the time. Compared with that 2,310-satoshi reference point, the current level near 1,768 satoshi remains about 20% lower.
XRP/BTC Becomes Critical as XRP Rallies
The latest 4.2% XRP/BTC advance shows XRP currently gaining ground against Bitcoin. However, the broader structure still leaves a substantial gap between today’s approximately 1,768 satoshis and the 2,310-satoshi region recorded in late 2025.
This makes XRP/BTC an important component of the current XRP rally. A move from 1,768 back to 2,310 satoshis would require an increase of approximately 24.9% against Bitcoin. Conversely, renewed selling in XRP/BTC would mean Bitcoin is once again outperforming XRP, even if XRP continues trading higher in dollar terms.
This distinction has repeatedly appeared throughout XRP’s market history. XRP/USD measures the token’s dollar value, while XRP/BTC determines whether XRP is actually gaining purchasing power against Bitcoin.
With XRP/BTC around 1,768 satoshis, the pair is rebounding but remains well below its late-2025 reference zone. The next phase of the XRP rally therefore coincides with another test of whether that rebound can develop into sustained relative strength against Bitcoin or whether the XRP/BTC pair rolls over again.
