More XRP Appears Available for Trading on Binance: Data Shows

XRP appears more available for trading on Binance as its Scarcity Index falls to -0.94, signaling a notable shift in exchange supply conditions.

XRP has become relatively more abundant on Binance as the exchange’s Scarcity Index drops to about -0.94, its lowest level since January 2025. The move reverses a period of tightening supply seen earlier this year and puts Binance’s available XRP supply back in focus.

CryptoQuant data shows the XRP Binance Scarcity Index has been falling steadily since late August. The metric was near neutral territory at the time but has since moved deeper into negative territory, eventually reaching approximately -0.94.

The decline comes as XRP trades near $1.47, down about 1.7% over the past 24 hours. The asset remains up roughly 5.7% over the last 30 days.

More XRP Available for Trading on Binance

The Scarcity Index tracks changes in XRP availability on Binance relative to its historical supply conditions.

Positive readings indicate greater scarcity, meaning less XRP is readily available on the exchange. Negative readings point in the opposite direction, showing that XRP has become relatively more abundant.

At -0.94, the latest reading suggests Binance currently has considerably more readily available XRP relative to the conditions seen during recent periods of positive scarcity.

This represents a major shift from earlier in 2026. In July, the index climbed to around 0.77, its highest level in roughly two years, as XRP supply on Binance tightened.

The latest chart shows that trend reversing sharply, with the index dropping below zero and continuing lower through September.

More XRP on Binance Does Not Confirm Selling

Greater exchange availability can increase the amount of XRP that could potentially be sold if holders decide to exit positions.

However, the Scarcity Index alone does not show that those tokens are actually being sold.

A rise in available exchange supply could come from deposits, internal wallet movements, market-making activity, or other transfers. Confirming stronger sell pressure would require supporting data from Binance XRP reserves, exchange inflows, spot volume, and order-book activity.

This distinction is important because XRP reserves on Binance had fallen earlier this year. CryptoQuant data previously showed reserves declining from about 2.78 billion XRP in May to 2.61 billion XRP by early July, a drop of around 170 million tokens.

The latest Scarcity Index suggests supply conditions have changed since then, but it does not by itself quantify how much XRP has returned to Binance.

XRP Price Holds Near $1.47

XRP currently trades around $1.47, compared with closes of $1.57 on Sept. 25 and $1.50 on Sept. 28.

With the Scarcity Index now at its weakest level since January 2025, the immediate on-chain question is whether the additional Binance supply translates into stronger exchange inflows and selling activity.

For now, the confirmed development is that XRP’s Binance scarcity has fallen sharply to -0.94, signaling substantially greater relative availability on the exchange than during the supply-tightening phase earlier this year.
