Cardano Founder Reacts as Strike Finance Offers 54%+ APR on ADA

Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, has praised the network’s decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem as Strike Finance reported a new annual percentage rate (APR) for USD stablecoins.

Strike Finance, a Cardano-based on-chain perpetuals platform, announced that its RealFi integration was now generating more than 54% APR for USD stablecoins deposited in its liquidity vault.

Reacting to Strike Finance’s update on the yield offering, Hoskinson said in a post on X, “Not bad, Cardano. Looks like we got the best DeFi.”

Cardano Community Delighted by Charles Hoskinson’s Support

Hoskinson’s remarks highlight his confidence in Cardano’s growing DeFi ecosystem and its potential to attract more capital.

Meanwhile, Strike Finance also shared its ambition to attract more investment, stating, “We want billions…”

Cardano stake pool operator Sssebi welcomed Hoskinson’s support, writing, “Love to see this part of Charles that promotes the ecosystem.”

His reaction reflects the community’s appreciation for Hoskinson’s public support of projects building on Cardano.

RealFi Reaches $5.1 Million in TVL

In a separate thread, Cardano ambassador and DRep Angry Crypto Show reported that RealFi had issued more than $7.6 million in stablecoins and tokenized funds on the Cardano network.

Data from Token Terminal also showed that RealFi’s total value locked (TVL) had surpassed $5.1 million.

These figures point to growing activity for RealFi within Cardano’s DeFi ecosystem. The platform brings real-world financial assets and yield-generating products on-chain.

RealFi generates returns from assets such as U.S. Treasury securities, money market funds, and investment-grade credit. Through its integration with Strike Finance, these yields can be combined with Strike’s liquidity vaults.

Strike-RealFi Integration Aims to Attract More Investment

Strike introduced RealFi’s yield products to its liquidity vaults through its Borrow & Earn platform. The service allows eligible users to borrow USD using supported assets as collateral and deposit the borrowed funds into supported liquidity vaults.

Strike previously advertised APRs of up to 50% on USD. Its latest report of more than 54% marks an increase in the advertised rate.

However, returns can change depending on market conditions and vault performance. Users who borrow against their assets also risk liquidation if their collateral loses value or they fail to meet borrowing requirements.

Hoskinson had previously praised the partnership, describing RealFi as open for business through Strike and calling it one of Cardano’s notable decentralized applications.

The partnership combines RealFi’s yields from real-world assets with Strike’s borrowing and liquidity services. Both platforms aim to attract more users and investment to Cardano DeFi ecosystem.
