XRP approaches $1.26 support as whale wallets fall from 351 to 339 and exchange balances rise, putting $1.11 and a conditional $0.98 target in focus.
XRP is trading close to a support level that could determine whether the latest weakness develops into a deeper correction, as large-holder wallet counts decline and the amount of XRP sitting on exchanges remains elevated.
Santiment data shows the number of wallets holding between 10 million and 100 million XRP has fallen from 351 to 339 over the past few weeks.
At the same time, XRP held on exchanges increased from approximately 11.003 billion to 11.05 billion tokens, a rise of about 47 million XRP, or roughly 50 million when rounded.

The technical side now centers on $1.26. XRP is trading around $1.28 today, according to CoinMarketCap, leaving the asset only slightly above that support.
A sustained breakdown below $1.26 would expose $1.11 first, while continuation of the bearish structure could eventually put $0.98 in focus.
XRP Whale Wallet Count Falls From 351 to 339
The first chart tracks wallets containing between 10 million and 100 million XRP.
The bars show a clear contraction over recent weeks. The cohort previously stood at roughly 351 wallets, but the latest reading is around 339, meaning 12 addresses have left this balance range.
The decline becomes more consistent toward the right side of the chart. After fluctuating around the mid-340s earlier in the period, the count progressively moves toward 344, then below that level, before reaching 339.
This can indicate reduced exposure among some of XRP’s largest holders, but the metric requires careful interpretation.
A wallet disappearing from the 10 million-to-100 million band does not necessarily mean all of its XRP was sold. Its balance could have fallen below 10 million, moved above 100 million, been divided among addresses, or transferred elsewhere.
Still, the decline becomes more relevant when considered alongside the separate rise in exchange balances.
Nearly 50 Million More XRP Moves Onto Exchanges
The second chart shows XRP balances held on exchanges increasing from roughly 11.003 billion XRP to around 11.05 billion XRP.
Unlike the whale-count chart, the exchange-balance series is not a straight increase. XRP reserves climb sharply, retreat at several points and then rebound. However, balances remain elevated near the upper portion of the recent range during the latest readings.
The difference between 11.003 billion and 11.05 billion is approximately 47 million XRP. At XRP’s current price near $1.28, that represents roughly $60 million worth of additional XRP associated with the measured exchange balance.
Higher exchange balances can increase the amount of XRP readily available for trading. This makes them relevant when evaluating potential sell-side pressure, particularly when large-holder counts are falling simultaneously.
However, movement to exchanges does not confirm that those tokens have been sold. Exchange transfers can also reflect custody changes, collateral activity or internal wallet management.
$1.26 Becomes XRP’s Critical Price Level
The third chart brings the on-chain developments into the price structure.
On the four-hour timeframe, XRP is positioned near $1.30, with the chart marking $1.26 as the immediate support floor. Above current prices, the visible levels sit around $1.34, $1.43, $1.52 and $1.62.
Price has already declined substantially from the upper part of the displayed range. After previously reaching above $1.60, XRP formed a broader sequence of lower levels and recently returned to the $1.26-$1.30 area.
This makes $1.26 particularly important. The level represents the lower boundary of the price structure developing since August. XRP has approached that region but has not yet established the breakdown required to activate the deeper bearish scenario.
CoinMarketCap currently shows XRP around $1.28, with a 24-hour range of approximately $1.27 to $1.31.
XRP Could Target $1.11 Before $0.98
If $1.26 fails on a sustained basis, $1.11 becomes the first downside level in the current setup.
A further breakdown would bring $0.98 into focus. From $1.26, a decline to $0.98 would represent a drop of approximately 22.2%. From XRP’s current price near $1.28, it would amount to a decline of roughly 23%.
The $0.98 level is therefore not a confirmed XRP target simply because whale wallets have declined. The bearish scenario requires multiple conditions to remain aligned.
The first two are already visible: the number of 10 million-to-100 million XRP wallets has fallen, while exchange balances have remained elevated. The third—and most important price confirmation—would be a sustained loss of $1.26.
As long as XRP remains above that support, the deeper $1.11 and $0.98 targets remain conditional. Conversely, continued large-holder distribution combined with increasing exchange supply and a confirmed break below $1.26 would strengthen the case for a deeper correction.
