Referred to our previous news a user sent 4,005 LINK worth about $52,800 to a smart contract of Aavegotchi game contract that does not support Link. The tokens resulted in irrevocable loss and were gone forever.
According to Github’s article, a user mistakenly sent LINK tokens to a smart contract belonging to the Defi game Aavegotchi. The contract does not support these tokens, so they were lost forever.
User Dawid (@d13kabani), a father of two and aavegotchi enthusiast made the mistake that every cryptocurrency user fears the most.

That was a huge loss for a person who suddenly loses his life worth. But thanks to the crypto community that came forward to help the father of two children and donated 10k USD on Chrismast to cover some of his losses.
According to a tweet by Aavegotchi, 200 plus TXNS coins worth above 10K USD were gathered as a donation to help the affected user. Aavegotchi promised that they will airdrop each unique address that donated above $20 when Aavegotchi launches on Mainnet.
The user that lost the link and received the donation was extremely thankful and said that he was shocked by such a great response from the community. He said that this donation will help him to stand on his feet again.
