On Thursday, the Shiba Inu team announced this new development via its official X account. According to the notification, the upcoming technical advancement for Shibarium will be a transformative upgrade that brings to life a variety of functionality specifically intended to improve user experience and further empower innovators.

Shibarium Technical Upgrade
The announcement noted that the Shibarium technical upgrade will roll out next Thursday, May 2. Notably, this latest announcement comes just days after the Shiba Inu team disclosed revamping Shibarium’s UI, expanding support to industry wallet solutions such as MetaMask.
According to the Shiba Inu team, this upcoming hard fork is a necessary update for unleashing next-level capabilities within the Shibarium network. Moreover, they emphasized that it transcends mere technical adjustments. Instead, it is about delivering fresh value and streamlining interactions with the Shiba Inu network.
Specifically, this upgrade will usher in more dependable transaction fees and faster block processing times. The development team highlighted that these enhancements are in response to community feedback to improve the Shibarium platform’s usability.
Furthermore, under this hard fork, the Shibarium development team will mitigate transaction fee fluctuations that usually arise during periods of high network traffic. They aim to ensure that costs become more predictable and equitable for all users.

Meanwhile, reacting to the development, community members have requested specific information concerning whether the forthcoming technical adjustment will incorporate the much-awaited SHIB auto-burn.
“If you are not gonna add auto-burn on this upgrade, then you are just disappointing some SHIB Army,” Lola, a prominent community member, remarked.
While the Shiba Inu team provided no specific details concerning auto-burns, they mentioned that the update incorporates features that enhance transparency and efficiency within the burn system.
