Bitcoin (BTC) Price Tops $94k: V-shaped Recovery Eyes $96k

Will the short-term recovery in Bitcoin (BTC) price, reflecting bearish exhaustion, push the price back above $95k?

After a brief recovery over the past 24 hours, Bitcoin’s price has reclaimed the $94,000 level, initiating a V-shaped recovery from a low of $91k.

Will this recovery drive Bitcoin’s price toward the $100,000 mark?

Bitcoin Price Analysis

On the 4-hour chart, the BTC price trend reveals significant demand for Bitcoin at the $90,742 support level, resulting in an early reversal from the 24-hour low of $91,215. This reversal has led to three consecutive bullish candles.

Moreover, the bulls have managed to reverse the large 4-hour bearish engulfing candle, which had caused a 2.45% drop the previous night. However, the ongoing correction has caused the 50 and 200 EMA lines to converge, threatening a potential death cross.

As mentioned in our previous article, the bullish divergence in the RSI line led to a quick reversal rally after trapping the bears below the $92,654 support level. With the rising RSI, momentum is clearly increasing, suggesting that a bottom may be forming in the ongoing correction.

Bitcoin Derivatives Turn Green

Despite the short-term recovery, the 24-hour liquidations in the crypto market have reached $367 million, with bullish players losing $254.53 million.

However, short-term recovery is evident, with $13 million in liquidations occurring over a 4-hour period—$10.48 million of which came from bearish positions.

Bitcoin Derivatives
Bitcoin Derivatives

The Bitcoin derivatives data shows that open interest is holding steady above $60 billion, currently at $61.02 billion. The long-to-short ratio has improved slightly to 0.9539. While the ratio is still below 1, it favors shorts.

Additionally, the funding rate is gradually improving, rising from 0.0010% to 0.0044%. This suggests increased demand for long positions as traders grow more optimistic about Bitcoin’s recovery.

BTC Price Target

As the recovery continues, Bitcoin is approaching the $95,190 resistance level, with bulls gradually taking control. Based on BTC price action, a breakout could face resistance at the 200 EMA, which sits at $96,216.

On the other hand, a reversal from the 20 EMA near the $95,119 level could test the $90,742 support level.

Bitcoin, XRP, Cardano, and Dogecoin See Massive Growth in Wallets Amid Market Dip

0

While the prices of leading assets like Bitcoin, XRP, Cardano, and Dogecoin have been bearish, on-chain activity surrounding these coins suggests a different story.

Yesterday, Bitcoin revisited lows of $91K after trading above $102K earlier this week. Likewise, Dogecoin came close to losing the $0.30 region after attempting to reach $0.40 just four days ago. A similar bearish sentiment is observable with Cardano (ADA), which lost its $1 mark, and XRP, having touched $2.20.

However, despite the bearish performances of these large-cap tokens, the number of non-empty wallets for these assets has been rising since the new year. Intelligence platform Santiment shared data on this development in a tweet today.

According to the report, while assets like Ethereum and Bitcoin surge in wallets, others, such as Chainlink, are experiencing declines.

Ethereum and Bitcoin Dominate the Leaderboard

Ethereum (ETH) stands out as the top gainer, adding 645,000 new wallets since the beginning of the year. This represents a 0.5% rise in ETH holders so far in 2025.

This growth reflects increasing confidence in Ethereum’s ecosystem, even though the price of Ethereum has dipped by 1.16% since January 1. The percentage loss becomes more pronounced when considering that ETH was worth $3,743 four days ago but is now trading at $3,300.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin (BTC) follows with an increase of 102,000 wallets since January 1. However, unlike Ethereum, Bitcoin price has a 1.12% year-to-date gain, solidifying its position as a more stable asset amid market fluctuations.

XRP Gains Momentum

Furthermore, XRP has aligned itself more closely with Bitcoin and Ethereum, following them with the most significant increase in wallet holders. Specifically, XRP has registered an additional 58,000 new wallets in 2025, representing a 1.0% growth in holders.

The continued interest in XRP may be due to hopes for favorable regulation and institutional adoption via an ETF this year.

Cardano and Dogecoin: Steady but Slow Growth

Meanwhile, Cardano (ADA) has added only 2,800 wallets since the start of 2025. This modest 0.1% increase signals cautious but steady interest in the platform. Despite the dip in price to $0.96, ADA has posted a 14% YTD gain.

Similarly, Dogecoin (DOGE) saw an uptick of 29,000 wallets, reflecting the meme coin’s enduring appeal among retail investors. With its price at $0.3358, Dogecoin has gained 7% since the beginning of the year.

Chainlink Faces Decline

On the other hand, Chainlink (LINK) recorded a loss of 3,300 wallets, marking a 0.5% decrease in its holder base. This drop may indicate a growing FUD surrounding the project, according to Santiment.

However, contrarian investors might view this decline as a buying opportunity, betting on a rebound once market sentiment stabilizes. For context, LINK has fallen by 11% over the last 30 days, while its YTD gain stands at 1.2%.

Expert Shares New Timeline For Dogecoin to Reach $2 and $8

0

As the market sell-off subsides, an analyst highlighted historical trends and technical indicators to argue for a timeline for Dogecoin to reach $8.

Dogecoin’s price regained stability on Thursday following a 14% decline over the past two weeks. Currently trading at $0.337, DOGE posted a 1.96% gain over the past 24 hours but showed a slight 0.65% drop over the past week.

As the market sell-off eased, an analyst pointed to historical cycle patterns and technical indicators that could signal long-term growth potential for Dogecoin.

Historical Cycles Taking Dogecoin to $8

Trader Tardigrade, a crypto analyst on X, highlighted Dogecoin’s historical price cycles within a recurring rising channel. The analysis identified a significant upward movement in the past, marked by a green arrow on the chart.

As seen on the chart, in 2017, Dogecoin surged from $0.00015 to approximately $0.038. The analysis suggests that the current price action falls within this channel. Accordingly, the analyst projected two key price targets for Dogecoin based on the historical trend.

Trader Tardigrade predicts a potential peak of $2 in 2025, while further growth suggests a target of $8 by 2028. He described the targets as a reasonable expectation for the meme coins.

Notably, these updated price targets are a revision from Tardigrade’s earlier analysis that proposed $30 for Dogecoin for this cycle.

Not the Right Time to Sell DOGE

In addition to long-term projections, Trader Tardigrade earlier emphasized that Dogecoin’s recent retracement is a retest of critical levels. The analyst pointed to the crypto breaking out of an ascending triangle pattern on January 3, when it crossed the structure’s base at $0.3435.

The bullish momentum carried Dogecoin to a yearly peak of $0.3989 four days later before it retraced to retest the triangle’s apex.

This technical behavior supports the analyst’s view that the retracement does not signal a sell-off but rather a continuation of bullish momentum. The pattern suggests Dogecoin may consolidate before resuming its upward trajectory.

In the chart presented at the time, the analyst projected that Dogecoin could surpass its previous all-time high of $0.7488 to aim for levels near $0.95.

Large Holders’ Are Still Accumulating

Data from IntoTheBlock further substantiated the bullish outlook, revealing a surge in large holder inflows over the past three months. Over the 90-day period, cumulative inflows rose by 3,722%, indicating significant accumulation by whales.

Dogecoin Large Holders Inflow IntoTheBlock

This trend aligns with a 323% increase in inflows over the last 30 days and a modest 5.33% rise over the past week. The accumulation activity by large holders is a critical factor contributing to reduced market supply, which typically exerts upward pressure on prices.

Here are XRP Prices with XRP Fair Valuation Calculator If XRP Hits $40B, $120B, and $250B Volume

0

The XRP fair valuation calculator presents a modest increase in XRP price, considering daily trading volumes up to $250 billion.

Notably, many have long viewed XRP as undervalued. Market commentators often attribute this undervaluation to external pressures, such as the ongoing legal battle between Ripple and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

This lawsuit, initiated in December 2020, has entered the appeal phase. In addition to this, speculation had risen that Ripple itself could be suppressing XRP’s price. However, representatives of the company have strongly debunked these claims.

Amid these debates, some industry leaders have made several attempts to estimate XRP’s fair market value. Among these efforts is a valuation framework developed at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.

Originally devised by Professor Susan Athey and Robert Mitchnick, an MBA candidate, the model incorporates specific economic factors to project XRP’s potential value.

It has since been developed into a calculator that uses parameters such as daily transaction volume, transaction frequency, and discount rates to estimate fair pricing for XRP under different scenarios.

XRP Fair Values at $40B, $120B and $250B Daily Volumes

Using this tool, we sought projections for XRP’s fair market value at three different daily transaction volumes: $40 billion, $120 billion, and $250 billion. The data provided details on how XRP’s price might respond to an increase in utility and adoption, leading to higher volumes.

At a daily transaction volume of $40 billion, the calculator estimated XRP’s value at $2.43, slightly above its current trading price of $2.29. The calculation assumes XRP is transacted every 12 hours on average and considers a 1% interest rate to discount future value to the present.

XRP Fair Value at USD40B Volume
XRP Fair Value at USD40B Volume

If daily transaction volumes rise to $120 billion, the fair value increases to $3.10. This scenario extends the time horizon to two years, indicating the growth required to reach such a volume. However, even at this level, XRP’s valuation remains slightly below its 2018 all-time high of $3.31.

XRP Fair Value at USD120B Volume
XRP Fair Value at USD120B Volume

The top projection comes up at a $250 billion daily transaction volume. Under this scenario, the calculator estimates XRP’s value at $4.17. This projection assumes a two-year timeline. Interestingly, market analyst Ali Martinez insists XRP could claim the $4 price.

XRP Fair Value at USD250B Volume

Assessment Criteria

The valuation model relies on several assumptions, including transaction frequency, the duration necessary to reach projected volumes, and the interest rate for discounting future value. It also factors in the potential for XRP to be a store of value akin to digital gold.

For context, XRP’s daily trading volume currently stands at $3.5 billion, per CoinMarketCap data. During the latest rally, XRP’s daily volume peaked at $22.6 billion on Nov. 16, far below the estimates. Nonetheless, this confirms that XRP has the capability to reach some of these levels if adoption grows.

Here is How Potential $6.5B Bitcoin Sale by DOJ Could Impact BTC Prices

0

A recent report from CryptoQuant analyzes the potential impact of the pending $6.5 billion Bitcoin sales by the DoJ on prices.

Concerns have filled the market over the U.S. Department of Justice’s (DoJ) approval to sell 69,370 Bitcoin worth $6.5 billion. Notably, the U.S. DoJ seized the BTC from the Silk Road hacker in 2020, and the latest court order puts an end to an extensive battle over its ownership.

Amid the concerns, CryptoQuant called attention to the current bearish pressure on Bitcoin price, as the token dropped to $93,500 after a 13.5% slump from its all-time high of $108,000 in December 2024.

The platform confirmed that the decline represents the steepest pullback of 2025 and one of the most significant corrections over the past three months. However, they revealed that the ongoing turbulence is not a direct result of the DoJ sale.

Despite fears surrounding the sale, CryptoQuant pointed out that the Silk Road Bitcoin remains unmoved for now. This begs the question: “What, then, is behind the ongoing crash?” The analysis points to short-term pressures, particularly from short-term holders.

STH Selling Bitcoin at a Loss

CryptoQuant revealed that short-term Bitcoin holders have been offloading their assets at a loss. Within the past 24 hours alone, 36,400 BTC were transferred from these holders to exchanges, with the Spent Output Profit Ratio (SOPR) dipping below 1.

This metric suggests that most of these coins are being sold below their purchase prices. Notably, the selling activity highlights negative sentiment among short-term investors, who often react to bearish headlines and price corrections.

CryptoQuant notes that this trend has led to Bitcoin’s SOPR falling to 0.987, indicating heightened selling pressure from investors holding BTC for less than six months.

Long-Term vs. Short-Term Impact

While fears around the potential sale of the $6.5 billion remains, CryptoQuant emphasizes that its long-term impact may be limited. For context, over the past year, Bitcoin’s Realized Cap has grown by $381.7 billion, dwarfing the Silk Road Bitcoin’s value of $6.5 billion.

However, the more immediate concern lies in how the DOJ might sell Bitcoin. An over-the-counter (OTC) transaction could minimize market disruption, as it involves private deals rather than exchange-based trades.

In contrast, selling through exchanges would likely amplify price volatility, as evidenced by the German government’s sale of 50,000 BTC in mid-2024, which had a noticeable market impact.

Time for Bitcoin Accumulation?

Meanwhile, in a separate report, CryptoQuant analyst MAC_D highlighted the selloff trend among short-term holders, which has contributed to the ongoing price drop.

According to him, when short-term holders sell at a loss, it signals a shift toward accumulation by longer-term investors. As Bitcoin’s price declines, experienced market participants often step in to purchase discounted coins, potentially triggering a recovery push.

Bitcoin Short Term Holder SOPR

MAC_D highlighted several on-chain metrics that suggest that Bitcoin has not yet reached the peak of its current cycle. The short-term investor ratio, currently at 60%, also supports the idea that the market remains in an accumulation phase.

MAC_D argues that selling Bitcoin during this period may not be wise, as further declines could provide attractive entry points for savvy investors. The data suggests that the ongoing correction does not signify the end of Bitcoin’s broader upward cycle. Currently, Bitcoin trades for $94,582, up 1.43% in the last 24 hours.

Shiba Inu Lead Says TREAT Launch Will Be Completely Unique From Previous Ecosystem Token Launches

0

Shytoshi Kusama, the leader of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, suggests that the team could adopt an innovative approach to the launch of the highly anticipated token, TREAT.

Kusama shared this perspective yesterday on X as the token edges closer to its launch. As reported earlier, TREAT, which will serve as the official reward token of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, will debut on January 14.

In anticipation of TREAT’s debut, Kusama took to X to suggest that the ecosystem team would launch the token using an innovative approach.

“The TREAT launch will be unlike any other launch we’ve done,” Kusama remarked. This suggests the team will adopt a unique strategy to roll out TREAT compared to previous ecosystem token launches.

Kusama Features in AMA to Discuss TREAT

Kusama shared more details about TREAT’s upcoming launch in an AMA session with popular crypto YouTuber Random Artz.

The AMA, held privately yesterday, featured other KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) within the Shiba Inu ecosystem, including Kaal Dhairya. After the AMA, Random Artz summarized some interesting points Kusama and Kaal shared about TREAT’s launch.

Details About TREAT Launch

According to the YouTuber, the ecosystem team will airdrop TREAT to some community members who have previously initiated specific tasks.

Random Artz did not mention the eligibility criteria. However, he suggested that eligible beneficiaries be directed to a platform where they can claim TREAT at zero cost. This approach could help onboard more users into the Shiba Inu ecosystem.

In addition, the YouTuber stated that TREAT will launch on the Ethereum blockchain instead of Shibarium. Users can still bridge TREAT from Ethereum to Shibarium, similar to other Shiba Inu ecosystem tokens.

Once launched, TREAT will immediately be listed on major centralized exchanges for trading, according to Random Artz. However, the YouTuber did not mention the names of the trading platforms where TREAT will be listed. Meanwhile, leading exchanges like KuCoin have announced plans to list TREAT.

Furthermore, the Shiba Inu leader told Random Artz that TREAT will have a ‘liquidity event’ after its launch. However, this liquidity will be created on a few centralized exchanges instead of DEXs like ShibaSwap or Uniswap.

It is worth mentioning that KuCoin is already orchestrating a pool where new users can farm TREAT tokens.

Shiba Inu to Announce New Partnership This Month

Meanwhile, Kusama hints at upcoming partnerships to be unveiled later this month.

“The last thing that Shytoshi himself wants me to convey to you guys is that this month is going to be a huge month when it comes to partnerships,” Random Artz emphasized.

The prominent YouTuber did not provide details about the entities Shiba Inu will collaborate with. However, he expressed confidence that the partners will be unveiled this month or next.

Ripple Shuffles 300,000,000 XRP Worth $682M Amid Rebound

0

A wallet address tied to Ripple shifted millions of XRP to another wallet, raising mixed reactions within the community.

On-chain tracker Whale Alert reported the notable XRP shift in a Thursday tweet. Per the post, a wallet affiliated with payment giant Ripple has offloaded 300,000,000 XRP worth $682 million to another address.

Sell Off or Just Shuffle?

Further details show the transaction happened at 20:16 (UTC) on January 8 between a Ripple address and what Whale Alert reported as an anonymous wallet. Sending address “rBg2Fu” shifted 300 million XRP to receiving address “rP4X2h.”

Although Whale Alert reported the receiving address as unknown, further analysis shows the wallet is related to Ripple. The cross-border payment solution activated the address with 70 million XRP in 2023 and has used the wallet for a considerable amount of its on-chain transactions.

Ripple Address
Ripple Address

Meanwhile, the wallet still held a chunk of the received funds at press time. Despite moving 6 million XRP, it has 409 million XRP worth $945 million.

Other Transactions Involving the Receiving Address

The Crypto Basic reported another transfer confirming the receiving address’s relevance in Ripple’s on-chain settlements. At the time, the address received 200 million XRP from the same recent sending address.

In another transaction, the “rP4X2h” received 380 million XRP ($915 million) on December 11 from “rMQ98K,” another wallet tied to Ripple.

Also, in October, the address moved 100 million XRP to another Ripple-affiliated wallet. The wallet shifted the XRP, worth $53 million then, to “rhWt2b.”

Mixed Reactions Trail Transfer

Meanwhile, the latest transaction sparked mixed sentiments within the XRP community. Some perceived the shuffle as bullish, while others argued a whale was selling its stash amidst the market downturn.

An enthusiast caught between the brawl sought clarity, asking if the Ripple shift insinuated an incoming dump and pump. However, he suggested it looked more like someone was readying to sell some XRP.

In the meantime, XRP trades at $2.310, rebounding slightly from its lows yesterday. The digital asset is up 2% from its $2.272 close on Thursday.

Crypto Debanking Claims Back in Focus as CryptoLaw Wields Details of Deel Class Action Suit

0

CryptoLaw accuses the FDIC of criminally misplaced priorities amid crypto debanking debate.

Over the past few years, claims that federal banking regulators, particularly the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), have intentionally put the squeeze on banks to cut the crypto industry off have been a raging topic amongst crypto proponents.

This issue has again come to the fore based on recent facts buried in a seemingly unrelated case.

Crypto Bad, but Russia Good?

CryptoLaw, a platform founded by pro-crypto lawyer John Deaton dedicated to sharing legal and regulatory updates surrounding the crypto industry, has accused the FDIC of criminally misplaced priorities.

In an X post on Thursday, January 9, the firm asserted that the banking regulator had allowed U.S. companies to send payments to Russia while freezing out legitimate crypto firms.

The basis for these claims lies in facts shared in a class action lawsuit against popular payroll and human resources firm Deel.

In the court documents, plaintiffs insinuate that Deel facilitated payments to users of Russia’s T-Bank despite existing sanctions against the Eastern European giant for its war against Ukraine. The plaintiffs do this by stating that T-Bank’s website had directed customers to receive payments via Deel as recently as October 2024.

While no evidence of transfers beyond this statement appears to have been provided, it has been enough to rally the crypto mob, who have been quick to call out the banking regulator, arguing a lack of balanced priorities.

Operation Chokepoint 2.0

The theory that crypto is being debanked in the U.S. started gaining momentum in early 2023, spurred mainly by the writings of crypto thought leader Nic Carter.

In February 2023, he argued that warnings from bank regulators about crypto risks in the wake of the FTX collapse had the markings of what he described as Operation Chokepoint 2.0.

He argued that banking regulators were trying to lock out the crypto industry from the banking sector through informal guidance like they tried to do payday lenders, arms dealers, and pornographers in 2013 in an initiative that was infamously dubbed Operation Chokepoint.

The disputes surrounding the shutdown of crypto-friendly banks like Signature Bank during the spate of bank runs in Q1 2023 at the time seemed to help support Carter’s view.

However, it took November 2024 statements from Andreessen Horowitz (A16Z) partner Marc Andreessen lamenting crypto debanking on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast to get the debate buzzing again.

Pause Letters

Further stoking the fire, Coinbase has recently obtained letters from the FDIC via a Freedom of Information Act request (FOIA) showing that the regulator had instructed banks to pause crypto services to customers pending the completion of regulatory reviews.

While Coinbase has wielded these documents as evidence of the crypto industry’s debanking claims, FDIC Chair Martin Gruenberg begs to differ.

In statements to Capitol Account co-writer Ryan Tracy, Gruenberg asserted that the FDIC’s instructions were aimed at discouraging banks from adding crypto to their balance sheets and were in no way aimed at the transactions of individual customers.

US Senate to Create First-Ever Subcommittee Exclusively Dedicated to Crypto

0

The United States Senate is making significant efforts to formalize its legislative oversight of crypto as it moves to create a subcommittee exclusively dedicated to the industry.

Popular FOX Business journalist Eleanor Terrett made the disclosure yesterday. She suggested that the subcommittee will operate under the Senate Banking Committee.

According to Terrett, the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, chaired by Tim Scott (R-SC), is set to create a subcommittee exclusively focused on cryptocurrencies. The FOX Business journalist noted that this is the first-ever Senate subcommittee exclusively dedicated to cryptos.

She mentioned that the subcommittee is similar to a panel created by the House Financial Services Committee in 2023 under Patrick McHenry’s leadership.

Senator Lummis to Head Crypto Subcommittee

Terrett disclosed that she learned from a Senate aide that Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY), known for supporting pro-crypto regulation, has been tentatively selected to head the crypto-focused subcommittee.

However, her appointment requires a full committee vote, which sources expect will occur in the coming days. This vote will also decide whether to include other members from the Republican and Democratic Parties in the subcommittee.

Pro-Crypto Congress and Senator Lummis Support for the Industry

It is no longer news that the 119th United States Congress is considered to be the most pro-crypto in the country’s history. The Congress, inaugurated on January 3, features 298 pro-crypto advocates, including Senator Lummis.

Senator Lummis’ support dates back to the early days of crypto when only a few people knew about the asset. She became the first senator to acquire Bitcoin in 2013, thanks to a tip from her son-in-law.

The ‘Senate Crypto Queen,’ as many call her, has not looked back ever since, as she pushes for friendly regulation for the industry. In December, she marked 2025 as a pivotal year for crypto, indicating that the multiple proposed policies and appointments could pave the way for significant changes in the industry.

One of the proposed policies is her proposal to establish a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve in the United States. This proposal aligns with Donald Trump’s promise to create a national Bitcoin stockpile.

Yesterday, The Crypto Basic reported that crypto stakeholders are already lobbying Trump to use an executive order to fulfill this promise within the first 100 days of his administration.

Meanwhile, if the Senate Banking Committee confirms Lummis as the head of the crypto subcommittee, she could be influential in shaping industry-friendly regulation.

Wealth Mentor Agrees XRP Can Make All Holders Rich

0

Linda Jones, a widely followed wealth mentor in the crypto community, recently agreed with a claim that XRP could make holders rich.

The original view came from technical analyst Steph. In a tweet, he posted a chart from the analytic platform CryptoQuant to argue that “whales are all in on XRP.” Accordingly, he declared that XRP holders “are all going to be rich.”

Responding to the sentiment, Jones remarked, “Yep,” giving a thumbs-up to Steph’s view. Recall that she recently expressed that XRP could be worth $100 per token, netting current holders around 4,445% upside.

Details of Observed Whale Engagements with XRP

Notably, the chart shared by Steph contains data on inflows from XRP whales to the most liquid crypto exchange, Binance. Specifically, the chart shows a high volume of XRP whale transactions with Binance in recent weeks.

The trend picked up momentum in the last quarter of 2024 but reached an unprecedented height in the first week of January 2025.

As of January 2, whale-to-exchange flow had a transaction count of 63,968, the highest in recent years. This metric is further confirmed by exchange inflow data, with CryptoQuant recording an influx of 2.73 billion XRP to Binance on January 4. It is worth mentioning that the massive inflow was canceled out by an outflow of 2.87 billion XRP on the same day.

Meanwhile, as of yesterday, January 9, the whale flows to Binance have cooled off, reporting a transaction count of only 3,305. In terms of XRP quantity, CryptoQuant reported only 134 million XRP inflow to the exchange on January 9.

Typically, heightened inflow from whales to exchanges is a bearish signal, as it implies they are actively trading their holdings. However, Steph overlooked this factor and interpreted the development as bullish. He is likely banking on continued whale engagement with XRP to improve the token’s value in the long run.

XRP Spikes with Binance Whale Activities

Interestingly, over the last four weeks, each instance of high outflow from whales to Binance corresponded with a spike in XRP’s price. Likewise, cases of dropping flow from whales coincided with a plunge in XRP’s price.

For instance, on December 24, whale transactions to Binance spiked to 28,013. This spike mirrored XRP’s price recovery to $2.32. Similarly, when whale transactions to Binance plummeted to just 770 on December 30, XRP’s price dropped to below $2.

In the most recent cases in January, when whale-to-exchange transactions hit 63K on January 2, XRP was trading high at $2.5. Also, just as XRP’s price dropped to $2.20 yesterday, transactions by whales to Binance dropped similarly.
