VivoPower to Acquire 211M XRP At 86% Discount: Details

0

Nasdaq-listed VivoPower has announced plans to acquire shares of Ripple as part of its XRP-focused crypto treasury strategy.

In an interesting update, VivoPower disclosed it would acquire $100 million worth of privately held shares of Ripple. The acquisition would make it the first US publicly traded firm offering exposure to both Ripple and XRP.

VivoPower to Buy Millions of XRP at Premium Discount

Specifically, the solar power firm would make the purchase after two months of due diligence, it noted in a press release. It plans to acquire a portion of Ripple’s 41 billion XRP holding at an 86% discount from its current price, pending approval from the Ripple board.

For context, Ripple received its stash from the initial 100 billion mined at the genesis block and releases 1 billion XRP monthly to regulate the token’s supply and maintain stability.

Meanwhile, VivoPower would acquire $100 million worth of Ripple shares. Interestingly, the fund would have acquired 30 million XRP at $3.29; instead, it accrued 211 million XRP, averaging a cost price of $0.47. This premium discount saw the stash’s value skyrocket to $696 million.

Further, this means that for every $10 million of Ripple shares acquired, VivoPower shareholders will record a growth of $5.15 per share. The Nasdaq-listed firm further clarified that the acquisition was not through a special-purpose vehicle but a direct purchase of Ripple shares from existing shareholders.

Ripple Shares Custody and Trading Partner

VivoPower employed crypto infrastructure and custody firms to enhance its Ripple share treasury strategy. It tapped BitGo to custody the shares and Nasdaq Private Market, which is Ripple’s preferred partner, to handle transactions.

Reacting to the announcement, VivoPower executive chairman Kevin Chin noted that the new strategy twist combines Ripple shares and XRP tokens to optimize the yield of investors. It would also reduce the average cost of XRP for holders, ensuring better profitability.

For context, VivoPower will require approximately $19 billion to acquire Ripple’s 41 billion XRP bag, which was worth $135 billion at the time of release. This is a staggering 86% deduction exclusively for VivoPower shareholders.

Moreover, it also gives VivoPower a share in Ripple’s business, including the RLUSD stablecoin and other units like Hidden Road, Rail, and Metaco.

The move joins a growing number of XRP treasury companies. For context, Trident Digital Tech Holdings announced that it would create an XRP treasury and plans to raise $500 million to fuel this venture.

China’s Webus also filed for an XRP treasury, committing to raising $300 million to buy the token. Wellgistics Health and Hyperscale Data, among others, are also in the long list of firms allocating their treasury to holding XRP.

Western Union to Buy Ripple ODL Partner Intermex in $500 Million Deal

0

Western Union has struck a $500 million deal to buy Intermex, a user of Ripple’s On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) service.

The move gives Western Union direct access to Ripple’s technology through Intermex, while also expanding its retail footprint across North America and strengthening its position in fast-growing remittance corridors.

Western Union to Acquire Intermex

Under the agreement, Western Union will pay $16.00 in cash for each Intermex share, valuing the company at roughly 50% above its recent average trading price. Both companies’ boards have signed off on the deal, and they expect to close it by mid-2026, pending regulatory and shareholder approval.

For Western Union, this acquisition represents a major step in its growth strategy. Intermex serves about six million customers each year, with operations spanning the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Canada, and Germany, and over 60 destination countries.

The company has built its reputation by focusing on the Latin American corridor, where it runs a network of strong agent relationships and delivers reliable, high-volume remittance services.

Western Union plans to integrate Intermex’s expertise with its own scale and technology to expand market coverage, boost digital adoption, and improve operational efficiency.

The firm expects the deal to deliver around $30 million in yearly cost savings within two years and to add more than $0.10 to adjusted earnings per share in the first full year after closing. They also see room for revenue growth by combining Western Union’s global platform with Intermex’s strong foothold in key markets.

Intermex Has Been a Long-Term Ripple ODL Partner

The connection to Ripple’s ODL service is also quite important. For context, Intermex partnered with Ripple in early 2020 to explore faster and cheaper cross-border payment solutions.

While the company limited ODL use in its core Mexico market, it set up the technology in newer regions where it could present a competitive edge. With the acquisition of Intermex, Western Union will now have an active ODL user under its umbrella, something it has not fully embraced despite running trials of Ripple’s technology as far back as 2015.

Those earlier tests showed the potential to cut settlement times from days to seconds and slash costs by as much as 60%. However, Western Union never rolled out the technology on a broad scale.

The acquisition changes this, giving the company a ready-made opportunity to bring ODL into its operations if it chooses to do so. Western Union now has the chance to pair its unmatched global reach with Intermex’s agility and Ripple-powered payment capabilities.

Here’s Why an XRP ETF Could Outperform Ethereum ETFs, According to Canary Capital CEO

0

Optimism around an XRP ETF (exchange-traded fund) is surging with the long-running SEC case against Ripple now officially over.

Ongoing discussions suggest that XRP ETF products could even outperform Ethereum ETFs. Canary Capital CEO Steven McClurg shared this perspective in a recent podcast with Paul Barron, which covered the latest developments in the Ripple lawsuit.

XRP ETF Coming This Year

He pointed out that the settlement has dramatically shifted market expectations. Notably, prediction platform Polymarket now places the odds of ETF approval in 2025 at over 88%, a sharp jump from 53% the previous week.

McClurg, whose company has filed for an XRP ETF, also believes the product could launch this year. “I absolutely believe there will be an XRP ETF this year,” he said.

However, he did not give a 100% guarantee, noting that anything can happen. Yet, he believes the conclusion of the Ripple lawsuit accelerated momentum.

Meanwhile, McClurg argued that even without the settlement, there’s no reason an XRP ETF shouldn’t secure approval since a judge has already ruled that XRP is not a security. “That’s exactly why we filed for this ETF a year ago,” he said.

Further supporting the case for an XRP ETF, McClurg pointed to a new generic listing standard published by NASDAQ, the NYSE, and CBOE. The new standard would allow tokens with a regulated U.S. futures market for over six months to qualify.

XRP is expected to meet that criterion within months. Notably, XRP futures markets are now live on CME and Coinbase, both of which launched earlier this year.

There Will Be Strong Institutional Demand for an XRP ETF

Once the new listing standards succeed, McClurg predicts that between five and seven crypto ETFs could launch, including XRP, Litecoin, and HBAR. However, he sees XRP as uniquely positioned due to its dominance in financial services infrastructure.

“There’s going to be very strong demand for XRP,” McClurg said. “It’s the leader in more traditional financial services rails, and coming from that industry, I understand that advantage very well.”

The discussion then shifted to the performance of Ethereum and Bitcoin ETFs, and McClurg expressed confidence that XRP could outperform Ethereum. He outlined three main reasons why an XRP ETF could have an edge:

Three Reasons XRP Could Outperform Ethereum ETFs

No Staking Opportunity Cost

McClurg noted that Ethereum holders can earn a 2–3% yield through staking, which makes an ETF less attractive to crypto-native investors. Since XRP doesn’t offer staking, ETF investors aren’t missing out on any potential yield.

XRP Is a Category Leader

While Ethereum faces competition in the smart contract space, XRP continues to lead in cross-border payments and settlement technology.

Community and Demand

Further, McClurg estimates that XRP ETF products could attract $5 billion in inflows during the first month, potentially outpacing Ethereum ETF launches.

The Future Role of Staking in ETFs

Addressing concerns that future XRP staking capabilities could compete with an ETF, McClurg revealed ongoing discussions with the SEC to allow staking within ETF structures.

“We’re all talking to the SEC to get staking allowed in ETFs,” he said. “So, by the time the ledger moves in that direction, we should be in the clear and able to offer staking within the ETF.”

He noted that Ethereum ETFs were initially disadvantaged by their inability to offer staking yields. However, a change could make ETH ETFs more attractive to traditional and crypto native investors.

Expert Shares Exit Strategy for Cardano After Imminent Moonshot

0

Cardano permabull Dan Gambardello has leveraged an AI tool to dictate how best to slowly exit one’s ADA position after its impending moonshot.

Gambardello reiterated that Cardano would rally extensively in the altcoin season, which is gaining momentum. He highlighted that the bull cycle has advanced as it usually does in the previous cycle, first with Bitcoin leading, then Ethereum following, before other altcoins start to explode.

With that in mind, the prominent analyst shared an exit strategy for Cardano this bull cycle, leveraging an analytical chatbot, Zero AI. It drew up the price targets where one can start taking profit on Cardano and the possible timelines.

Cardano Exit Plan

For context, Gambardello asked Zero to project the best price and time to start taking profit on Cardano. Specifically, he inquired what price it is best to place the largest sell order for Cardano this cycle, considering he is a macro trader with a mid-to-high risk appetite.

In response, Zero revealed that the $5.50 to $7.50 range is the best area to place the largest ADA sell order this bull cycle. Notably, from the current price of $0.813, this represents a 576.5% to 822.5% uptick.

Screenshot 2025 08 11 115248
Cardano Price Target This Bull Cycle | Zero AI

Specifically, Zero highlighted that the price range aligns with historical cycle trends, which have seen ADA reach its peak after rallying between 10 and 20-fold from its bear market lows. It also syncs with the psychological resistance levels and market dynamics observed in the previous cycles.

Another reason Zero identified the $7.50 price as a good point to sell is its projected market cap. At the mark, Cardano would attain a market cap of $270 billion, which it noted was a “plausible” valuation peak considering its historical market share in prior bull cycles.

Zero mentioned that buyers above $7.50 would be used as exit liquidity. Hence, Gambardello noted that while Cardano may reach higher prices like $10, $7.50 is a more realistic target this cycle, and as such, it is best to take profit there.

Window to Exit Cardano Positions

For the timing, Zero projected that Cardano would reach its peak in about three to six months after Bitcoin hits its cycle peak. With all indicators pointing to higher prices for Bitcoin, the AI tool suggested that if BTC peaks in December, for instance, then ADA will hit its top by mid-2026.

This projection aligns with the growing speculation of an extended bull cycle beyond the typical four-year timeframe. Many have shared this sentiment, with some others, like Michael Saylor and Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan, insisting that the four-year cycle no longer applies.

Zero also identified other possible top signals, such as ADA’s risk score nearing extreme greed at 85-90. A bull/bear score of 5 also suggests the top is nearby.

Demo With a 100,000 ADA Demo Account

Meanwhile, Gambardello asked for a demo of the exit strategy with a 100,000 ADA account, which Zero provided. The AI recommended selling 40-50% of the total holding at $7.50. This would mean realizing $300,000 by selling 40,000 ADA or $375,000 by selling 50,000 ADA.

Zero highlighted that not selling 100% at the price allows users to realize higher profits if ADA rallies past $7.50. Further, it recommended placing the remaining 50-60% of the portfolio as the risk score increases until full profit-taking.

Here’s Why Your Biggest Mistake Could Be Selling XRP Too Early

0

XRP has taken the limelight as a prominent figure in the investing community has called attention to the dangers of selling promising investments too soon.

He warns that the biggest mistake most investors make is selling a big winner prematurely. This caution comes from the veteran investor behind the popular X account “Invest In Assets,” which has built a reputation for helping people grow wealth through insights on quality stocks and Bitcoin.

While the market analyst did not mention XRP or any other asset, the message resonated with XRP advocates, who have long championed patience over short-term profit-taking.

Even Selling XRP at $10 May Be Too Soon

In numerous posts on X, pro-XRP crypto educator Edoardo Farina has warned that selling XRP too early could cost investors life-changing gains. He believes exiting even at $10, a psychological level many see as a reasonable profit point, could become a decision holders regret for years.

Farina recalls how, in November 2024, XRP broke past $1 for the first time in over three years. Many expected a pullback to $0.50, but the retracement never came, and the token surged to $2. Those who sold early missed out as the coin continued its climb to $3.66 this year.

With widespread hopes of XRP surpassing double or even triple digits, advocates like Farina believe the pattern of premature selling and regret could repeat on a much larger scale in coming market cycles.

Lessons from Bitcoin, Berkshire Hathaway, and Apple

Notably, the long-term case for XRP often draws parallels to other legendary investments. Farina likens buying XRP at $2 to buying Bitcoin below $100. For context, this investment for BTC holders would now be worth over 100,000% more.

Similarly, American wealth mentor Linda Jones has compared XRP’s current phase to the early days of Berkshire Hathaway, when only patient shareholders recognized its future value.

Berkshire Hathaway stock has returned more than 292,000% since its inception. Jones suggests that XRP’s true worth might only become clear after years of adoption in global payments.

Likewise, XRP influencer John Squire has likened selling XRP today to offloading Apple stock just before the iPhone’s launch. He argues that XRP’s current price doesn’t reflect its full potential, given Ripple’s growing partnerships, cross-border utility, and rising adoption.

Apple’s stock soared by over 8,500% after the iPhone launched in 2007. XRP advocates believe similar catalysts, like ETF approvals, potential use in U.S. digital reserves, and corporate adoption, could send XRP from $3 to triple-digit price levels or beyond.

The “Buy Back Lower” Trap

Meanwhile, Farina has also cautioned against the strategy of selling to buy back at a lower price. He stresses that geopolitical events, market manipulation, and sudden institutional news can send prices soaring overnight, leaving sellers locked out.

His personal strategy is to sell only small portions at $10, $50, and $100 while keeping most of his XRP for lending once regulations allow institutional borrowing. He believes this approach will generate income without giving up the asset entirely.

Ultimately, as Invest In Assets puts it, the biggest mistake investors make is not missing the bottom but selling too early, at what turns out to be only the beginning.

Analyst Says Cardano Mirrors 2021-High Pattern, Eyes Key Resistance

0

Crypto analyst Ali Martinez suggests Cardano is poised for an explosive surge, as recent price movements draw comparisons to its last major bullish cycle.

Ali Martinez shared a weekly chart of ADA on X, suggesting that the token is “mirroring” the price structure of its 2020 rally, though the pattern is developing more slowly.

ADA is trading at $0.8126, a 2% rise in the past day and 11% in the last week. This price point places it just below the 0.5 Fibonacci retracement level at $0.853. This level measures the midpoint between the all-time high of $3.099 in September 2021 and the cycle low of $0.23488 in 2022.

Key Resistance and Support Levels

The chart highlights several technical levels that traders are monitoring. Immediate resistance exists at the 0.5 Fibonacci retracement level of $0.853. A breakout above this level could open the path toward the 0.618 retracement at $1.156, followed by $1.784, and eventually the previous cycle high of $3.099.

Ali Martinez predicts next ADA move
Ali Martinez predicts the next ADA move

Notably, Ali Martinez had previously outlined possible Cardano targets of $3.09, $4.19, and up to $6.25, should the current setup mirror a past cycle. He drew parallels between ADA’s present price behaviour and its 2020–2021 rally, highlighting similar structures unfolding at a more gradual rate.

On the downside, the 0.382 retracement level at $0.629 serves as the nearest support. A failure to hold this level could trigger a deeper decline toward the cycle low of $0.23488, representing a drop of more than 70% from current prices.

Extension Targets and Historical Context

The chart also plots Fibonacci extension targets, with the 1.272 extension at $6.253 marking a long-term bullish projection. However, such levels are based on mathematical ratios rather than confirmed market conditions.

From its September 2021 high, ADA fell by over 92% before bottoming at $0.23488. Since then, the cryptocurrency has gained more than 240%, highlighting the volatility that has characterized its previous cycles.

Other Analysts Predict Next Cardano Move

Meanwhile, a chart from Cardano trader Mr Brownstone indicates that ADA is showing signs of a potential breakout, with the analyst predicting rapid price expansion.

He based his outlook on the current Elliott Wave structure, which suggests the corrective phase has ended and an impulsive rally could be underway, possibly targeting the $1.60–$2.20 range.

Cardano from Mr Brownstone

However, the chart indicates that ADA must first breach the descending trendline and decisively close above the key $1.18 resistance to confirm this bullish scenario. Failure to clear this level could see the price remain range-bound or revisit lower supports around $0.70–$0.55.

Meanwhile, Cardano has broken out of a multi-week falling wedge, according to My Crypto Paradise, potentially signaling a market shift and eyeing $0.95.

The $0.7300–$0.7450 range now serves as key support to maintain the bullish structure, while $0.6700–$0.7100 forms a broader demand zone. A drop below $0.6600 would invalidate the breakout and could turn the outlook bearish.

Pundit Says Chainlink, Not XRP, Is Better Positioned to Work with SWIFT

0

Chainlink advocate Zack Rynes recently claimed that Chainlink holds a stronger position than XRP when it comes to working with SWIFT.

In a recent post, Rynes argued that while many proponents in the XRP community expect XRP to replace or complement SWIFT, the reality is different.

Chainlink Advocate Comes for XRP

He pointed out that SWIFT already works with Chainlink to link more than 11,000 banks to both public and private blockchains. According to him, the common belief about XRP replacing SWIFT does not match the actual progress being made.

When someone asked whose blockchain would carry the transactions, Rynes replied that any of the hundreds of existing blockchains could serve as the transaction layer. This answer confirmed that XRP and the XRP Ledger (XRPL) could still play a role, but Rynes continued to deny this.

In a separate statement, he again said Chainlink now delivers what many once expected from XRP. He highlighted that top global financial institutions, including SWIFT, the DTCC, Mastercard, central banks, and major asset managers, already work with Chainlink. According to him, this level of adoption puts Chainlink in a far stronger position.

However, one XRP proponent ascribed Rynes’ recent statements to the latest instance of attacks on XRP from other crypto communities. He suggested that this happens because XRP is on the brink of a breakthrough. To him, the fact that everyone keeps talking about XRP shows its importance.

Is XRP Overvalued?

Rynes dismissed this, insisting that his statements are due to his sentiment that Chainlink should hold a much higher value than XRP. He argued that XRP’s $188 billion market cap far outweighs Chainlink’s $14 billion, despite Chainlink achieving much of what XRP was supposed to deliver.

Meanwhile, Dom Kwok, co-founder of EasyA, joined the discussion with a response to crypto influencer Ansem, who recently suggested that Chainlink is what Ripple would be if it actually worked.

Dom said he has seen Ripple’s technology work in real-world applications but has never seen Chainlink in action or met developers actively building with it. According to him, spending time directly with builders gives a clearer view of which technology actually works on the ground.

Chainlink and SWIFT Partnership Progresses

Notably, it is important to note that Chainlink’s work with SWIFT has progressed well since 2016. The pace picked up in recent years.

In November 2022, at Chainlink’s SmartCon conference, both parties announced a proof-of-concept that used Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) to let SWIFT’s traditional messages interact with multiple blockchains. By May 2023, tests with BNP Paribas and BNY Mellon successfully moved tokenized assets across different chains.

In May 2024, during the Consensys conference in Austin, SWIFT’s head of securities strategy and Chainlink’s co-founder discussed how their work could unlock tokenized assets at scale.

That November, SWIFT, UBS Asset Management, and Chainlink completed a pilot to settle tokenized funds. By late 2024, Chainlink founder Sergey Nazarov announced new milestones, including converting SWIFT’s transaction messages into blockchain events for tokenized assets and CBDCs.

In this partnership, Chainlink provides the technology to connect different blockchains and convert SWIFT messages into secure, automated blockchain processes. This interoperability allows financial institutions to communicate and transfer assets across networks without friction.

XRP and the XRPL are Still Relevant

Despite this, the collaboration does not automatically push XRP or the XRPL out of the picture. Chainlink’s strength lies in messaging and interoperability, while XRP’s advantage is in fast, low-cost settlement and liquidity for cross-border payments.

While it is not the only platform for this purpose, the XRPL could still serve as a bridge currency, offer liquidity for less common fiat pairs, and help settle CBDCs and stablecoins between different systems.

Essentially, rather than competing for the same role, the two projects could complement each other. Chainlink can handle the messaging layer, while XRP can deliver the settlement speed and cost efficiency. In fact, SWIFT’s use of Chainlink actually makes adoption of the XRPL easier. Ripple has even partnered with Chainlink for its RLUSD stablecoin.

Crypto Researcher Reveals Explosive Cardano Setup for Those Who Missed XRP Parabolic Run

0

A Web3 researcher has shared a good setup on Cardano, betting it would mirror the explosive price action seen from XRP in recent times.

Specifically, CryptoGen-Athos made the claims in an August 9 X post, predicting that Cardano looks primed for an impulsive rally to higher prices. This comes after ADA’s fast start to the week, with its 2.62% rally from around $0.798 to its current price of $0.823, following a broader market bullish trend.

Cardano Eyes Outbreak Inspired By XRP

The market analyst highlighted that Cardano is giving off the XRP vibes with its recent setup. As a result, he encourages exposure to the 10th largest cryptocurrency by market cap for the same thrill of XRP’s parabolic run.

For perspective, XRP broke out from a price range in early November, with an explosive price development ensuing. The uptick saw XRP surge from around $0.50 to $2.90 in December 2024, retrace slightly, and then resume another bullish uptick to January’s high of $3.40.

Meanwhile, XRP surpassed the January peak in July when it reached a multi-year high of $3.66. From November’s price of $0.50, this culminates in a 632%, or 7.3x, rally to the July peak price.

For those who were unexposed, the market watcher has identified that a similar price action could happen with ADA. He shared that Cardano is breaking out from a multiple-year structure, with confluence on higher timeframes backing the momentum.

This comes as Cardano breaks above its price top of $0.81, reached during its price development within a multi-year falling wedge from December 2023 to September 2024. ADA reached the resistance area on March 14, 2024, but faced price rejection, dropping back into the triangle.

Cardano Breakout/CryptoGem

However, ADA broke out of the symmetrical triangle in late September and in November rallied to a peak of $1.32. Despite this, Cardano has struggled with the $0.81 resistance, failing to break above the level after falling below in March.

Cardano Targets Multi-Year Highs With Breakout

Nonetheless, Cardano seems to be breaking out now, as momentum ticks bullish. The analyst noted that liquidity is thin and sentiments are still low, suggesting we are at the early stage of a massive rally.

He added that the bullish chart backs this narrative, and Cardano would move fast when it resumes this impulsive leg up. His chart suggests a retest of the $3 price mark, close to its current all-time high of $3.16, representing a 264% uptick from the current price.

Meanwhile, this could be just the start for Cardano, according to an earlier analysis from analyst Ali Martinez. He shared that ADA is exhibiting the same price development as it did in 2021, but at a slower pace. If this trend persists, he mentioned that we might be at the early stage of a substantial price rally for ADA.

Moreover, analyst Deezy predicted that ADA would rally to $10 if it rallies by just half of what it did in 2021. Several other outlooks align with this $10 price target for Cardano this cycle.

Bitcoin Maxi Says Hold 0.0027 Bitcoin Rather Than 100 XRP

0

The Bitcoin vs. XRP debate continues to trend strongly on crypto Twitter, as a long-standing Bitcoin maximalist recently weighs in on preference.

The debate on which holds better upside potential, Bitcoin or XRP, came up again when Bitcoiner “SusieBdds” made fresh claims on which she would keep. The former dentist, who claimed that she retired herself and her husband with Bitcoin, disclosed that she would rather hold 0.0027 BTC than a whole 100 XRP.

Maxi Makes Bitcoin Preference Over XRP

At the current market price of $122,000, 0.0027 BTC amounts to $329.4. However, XRP trades at $3.27, with a 100 XRP stash costing $327 to acquire.

Meanwhile, despite Bitcoin’s market cap being over 12 times bigger than XRP, SusieBdds still prefers the crypto leader. She insisted that she would rather hold 0.0027 BTC than 100 XRP, worth almost the same amount currently, insinuating that Bitcoin has a better upside potential.

While she did not provide clear context on Bitcoin’s trajectory and the reason for the preference, she went on to call XRP and some other altcoins “crap.” According to the Bitcoin maxi, she always educates people to learn from her past mistakes and not make bad choices but respects their decision when they still prefer XRP or BSV.

XRP or Bitcoin?

Notably, both XRP and Bitcoin communities often claim each is better than the other. This long-standing banter has some suggesting that XRP being in this conversation places it in an exclusive list. Further, XRP enthusiast Diep Sanh noted that Bitcoin maxis were also running a free promotion for XRP and have aided its growth.

In the past, notable Bitcoin proponents like Davinci Jeremie, Robert Breedlove, and Rajat Soni have publicly criticized XRP. They called XRP several names, including a stablecoin, with Jeremie suggesting that holding XRP puts you at risk of asset freeze anytime. Notably, a few of them have come to regret writing off the asset, especially with its rally from 50 cents to over $3.

Nonetheless, certain XRP proponents insist that XRP would create more millionaires than Bitcoin ever did. Crypto influencer Amonyx made this claim in July, suggesting that XRP trades at a criminally low price compared to its potential, especially with its utility in the cross-border landscape.

Bitcoin has created millionaires and billionaires with its historical run from less than a dollar to over $121,000 today, and Amonyx insists that XRP would outdo that. This suggests that XRP has better upside potential than Bitcoin and could one day match Bitcoin’s percentage uptick.

Moreover, crypto researcher Anderson asserted that XRP can reach $1,000 if Bitcoin has the capability to reach $1 million. From here, XRP would increase 30,481% to reach $1,000, while BTC would grow 920%. This offers a better portfolio upside for XRP holders compared to Bitcoin in this scenario. Nonetheless, it remains to be seen if these targets could materialize.

How $300 in XRP and Bitcoin Have Fared Historically

It bears mentioning that a $300 investment in XRP and Bitcoin before now has performed differently. For context, if one bought $300 in XRP at its earliest trading price of $0.0058 in August 2013, it would be worth $165,517 now. Bitcoin acquired in the same timeframe at around $100 would be worth approximately $360K today.

If one invested the same amount in XRP in August 2015 when its price traded for $0.0084, the stash would have increased 38,828% to reach $116,785, while Bitcoin bought at $284 would turn into $128,832.

Meanwhile, if one bought the same $300 in XRP at $0.50 in November 2024 before the Trump rally, it would amount to $1,962 now. $300 in Bitcoin bought at the same time would be worth $532 today.

Expert Predicts $28B Market Cap for Shiba Inu in Current Cycle

0

Crypto trader Jake Gagain forecasts a steep rise in Shiba Inu market value, predicting the token could more than triple from its current market cap.

In a post on X, the analyst revealed that he believes SHIB can have an impressive outing in this current cycle that will triple its market cap from $8 billion to $28 billion.

Shiba Inu is trading at $0.00001382 after a 0.8% daily decline, reducing its weekly gain to 12.3%. Shiba Inu reached its all-time high after a 150,000,000% surge to $0.00008845, a $41 billion market cap, in October 2021 before retracing to the current level, an 84% decrease. A rise from this current price to $28 billion will represent a 250% surge, with the Shiba Inu price rising to about $0.00004837.

The last time Shiba Inu came close to this price was December 2024, reaching $0.00004534 after climbing from a low of $0.0000088. This represented a 400% increase. Since then, SHIB’s price has dwindled to this current level.

Notably, Jake’s $28 billion market cap target would place SHIB alongside some of the largest assets by valuation, specifically just below Cardano with $29 billion market cap, but above Hype and Chainlink in the current standing.

Other Analysts Predict Shiba Inu Price

Notably, Trader Mike revealed he entered a SHIB position at $0.0000167 on April 9, after spotting a bullish daily candle close. His short-term goal is $0.00004529, a 249% gain from entry, while other targets include $0.00004595, $0.00005414, $0.00007526, and $0.00008869, last seen during SHIB’s 2021 rally.

Another analyst on TradingView believes the token must clear the $0.00001856 resistance to escape its downtrend, opening paths to $0.00004807 and $0.00007078, similar to Jake’s prediction.

Other projections suggest a gradual climb from $0.00002800 to $0.00003500, matching key resistance zones. A break above could lead to $0.00004170, marking a near 98% rise from current prices.

Meanwhile, other analysts are even more bullish on Shiba Inu’s price. Prominent analyst Crypto Nuclear recently pointed to Shiba Inu’s potential surge of 514% to 589%. He identified $0.00001090 to $0.00001190 as a crucial Shiba Inu (SHIB) support zone. He projects that holding this level could fuel a breakout toward $0.00007870 and $0.00008836.

Meanwhile, “Investments CEO” predicted Shiba Inu could reach $0.001, a level implying a $589 billion market cap for SHIB. While offering no fundamental drivers for the targets, he urged his nearly 600,000 followers to engage with the post, suggesting the visibility could draw new investors and fresh capital into both tokens.

Jake Sees Four Other Memecoins Surging Significantly

Notably, in his recent disclosure, Jake suggested Dogecoin could maintain memecoin market leadership. Dogecoin is trading at $0.240 after a 0.7% daily loss, cutting its monthly gain to 17.5%. With a current market cap of $34 billion, DOGE remains the largest memecoin by value. Jake projects its market cap could climb to $80 billion, keeping it ahead of rivals.

Meanwhile, Jake described PEPE as one of the fastest-growing memecoins ever launched. It reached an all-time high market cap of $11.5 billion in December 2024 before pulling back to $5 billion. The token, priced at $0.0000123 after a 1.4% daily drop, has risen 16.7% in the past week but remains down 1.7% over the past month. Jake believes PEPE could exceed $30 billion in market cap this cycle, outpacing SHIB.

Jake also mentioned Pengu among the five memecoins. Pengu, an eight-month-old token, is trading at $0.0410 after a 3.2% daily increase. It has risen 15% in the past week, bringing its market cap to $2.5 billion. Jake sees Pengu reaching $25 billion by the cycle’s end, saying it has “changed the game” in the memecoin space.

Among the mentioned tokens, SPX posted the most impressive numbers in recent days. SPX trades at $1.97, with monthly gains of 24.7%. Its year-to-date performance stands at 10,575%, and its market cap is $1.6 billion. Jake offered a more unconventional forecast for SPX, claiming it could “flip the stock market” and “go to infinity” in this cycle.
