Researcher Predicts XRP Double-Digit Price If Bitcoin Hits $140K

As Bitcoin continues its upward trajectory, analysts and XRP advocates have grown optimistic about XRP’s potential to enter uncharted territory.

In a tweet, self-acclaimed crypto researcher “Ripple Van Winkle” predicted that the token could surge into double-digit territory if BTC reaches the $140,000 price level.

XRP Could Blow Past $10–$14

In his post, Van Winkle dismissed the notion that XRP would stop at $7 if Bitcoin reached $140,000. Instead, he argued that XRP may blow through $10, maybe even reach $14.

This echoes a similar sentiment recently shared by veteran trader ProfitMana, who also listed XRP among his high-conviction picks for the current bull cycle. Mana projected a 5X–7X return and a possible $21 price for XRP.

These views suggest that the asset could outperform expectations once capital begins rotating from Bitcoin into altcoins.

Notably, Bitcoin briefly traded at $120,000 today but has slightly dipped to $118,900 at press time. Its market dominance has dropped by 4.62% over the past week, allowing altcoins to outshine it.

On the other hand, XRP’s dominance has increased by 26% over the past week, which is evident in its ongoing performance. At a price of $14, XRP’s market cap would rise to nearly $825 billion, potentially challenging Ethereum’s dominance.

XRP/BTC Pair Holds the Clue

Meanwhile, central to Van Winkle’s XRP price forecast is the XRP/BTC trading pair. He called it “the ultimate alpha signal” for anticipating XRP’s breakout potential.

Although he did not provide details, other analysts have commented previously. Earlier this month, analyst CrediBULL pointed out that XRP/BTC was testing a major resistance at 0.00002162 BTC for the fifth time in one month, after four prior rejections.

He noted that this level aligns with the 100% Fibonacci barrier that has capped recent rallies. A daily close above it could trigger a move toward 0.00002646 BTC, last seen in April. However, another rejection may send the pair back to support at 0.00001938 BTC, recently tested twice.

Remarkably, XRP bulls trumped and broke above this stubborn resistance, opening the door to higher price levels. As of today, XRP/BTC has hit 0.00003051 BTC.

From an all-time perspective, the XRP/BTC pair shows Bitcoin still leads. However, as the bull market sentiment moves away from BTC, a rotation of capital from Bitcoin into undervalued altcoins like XRP could favor it even more.

This rotation has historically occurred after Bitcoin’s runs reach their peak when investors reallocate profits into altcoins for greater upside. As Bitcoin hovers around $120,000, many analysts believe its peak is in.

“Be Early or Be Exit Liquidity”

As a result, Van Winkle warned the crypto community to position early in XRP at current levels before the crowd enters. In his view, those still on the sidelines risk becoming “exit liquidity” for smarter money already ahead of the curve.

Here’s How Much XRP Needs to Rise from Its Current Price to Overtake Bitcoin

As the ongoing bull market reaches a fever pitch with XRP breaking historic highs, discussions about XRP overtaking Bitcoin are emerging.

XRP community researcher “SMQKE” sparked the conversation on X, citing a document from asset manager WisdomTree that projected what it would take for XRP to match Bitcoin’s market cap.

Notably, XRP is trading at a seven-year high of $3.66 today, with an all-time high market cap of $216 billion. This valuation places XRP as the third-largest crypto, behind only Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin leads XRP by a wide margin, with a market cap of over $2.3 trillion. While the gap between XRP and Bitcoin exceeds $2 trillion, a growing number of voices in the XRP community are theorizing a future in which XRP could rise in price enough to overtake Bitcoin.

XRP: The Most Suitable Rival to Bitcoin

In a research report, asset manager WisdomTree identified XRP as the only altcoin suitable for pairing with Bitcoin in a long-term crypto strategy. The firm positioned XRP not as a speculative asset but as a practical counterpart. It highlighted XRP’s utility, speed, energy efficiency, and low correlation with Bitcoin and Ethereum.

WisdomTree categorizes both Bitcoin and XRP under “Layer-1 payments,” distinguishing XRP from other altcoins. XRP’s capped supply, deflationary model, and institutional readiness further bolster its investment appeal.

The report suggests that institutional investors are increasingly looking beyond Bitcoin, and XRP’s inclusion signals growing confidence in its potential as both a payment asset and a store of value. Notably, WisdomTree is among the institutions seeking exposure to XRP, having filed to list XRP ETFs.

What It Would Take for XRP to Overtake Bitcoin

According to the report, WisdomTree indicated that XRP would need only a 20X price increase to match Bitcoin’s trillion-dollar market cap.

It’s worth noting that the data in the report was compiled back in October 2024. At that time, XRP traded between $0.50 and $0.60. Bitcoin was between $59,000 and $70,000, with a market cap ranging from $1.2 trillion to $1.4 trillion.

From that point, a 20X surge in XRP’s price would place it between $10 and $12. However, with a circulating supply of 59 billion tokens, this would not push XRP’s market cap into the trillion-dollar range.

Meanwhile, considering XRP’s maximum supply of 100 billion tokens, the fully diluted valuation would reach trillions with a 20X surge.

Interestingly, with the significant price appreciation since then, XRP has considerably closed the gap with Bitcoin, altering the equation.

From today’s price of $3.66, a 20X surge would give XRP a market cap of approximately $4.26 trillion, based on its circulating supply of 59 billion. Such a surge would put XRP’s price above $73 per coin.

Notably, to match Bitcoin’s current market cap of $2.4 trillion, XRP would only need to reach slightly above $40, requiring an 11X surge. Many analysts believe the level is achievable this year. However, any further rise in Bitcoin’s value would widen the gap again, making XRP’s path to overtaking it more difficult.

Here is Shiba Inu Price If Millennials and Gen Z Invest Retirement Assets in SHIB

0

If Gen Z and millennials invest up to 5% of their retirement assets in Shiba Inu, SHIB could eventually hit a new ATH.

Millennials and Gen Z are poised to control huge amounts of funds in retirement assets over the next couple of years due to a spike in earnings and wealth transfers. According to reports, these retirement assets could reach a whopping $30 trillion in the future.

Gen Z and Millennials Open to Crypto Investments

These individuals are expected to allocate these funds to different investment vehicles to generate passive income. Although it’s still uncertain where Gen Z and millennials will diversify these funds, they have shown a greater openness to cryptocurrency investments.

In 2022, leading U.S.-based asset manager Charles Schwab reported that 45% of millennials and 46% of Gen Z seek to invest in crypto as part of their retirement plans. These respondents revealed that they are already investing in crypto outside of their retirement accounts but wish to have it included in their retirement plan.

It is evident that Gen-Z and Millennials will allocate a sizable amount of the estimated $30 trillion retirement assets to cryptos like Shiba Inu.

Shiba Inu Price if Retirement Assets Are Channeled to SHIB

We assumed how this could impact Shiba Inu’s price if younger generations allocate 1%, 3%, or 5% of the $30 trillion retirement assets to Shiba Inu as a long-term store of value.

Allocating 1%, 3%, or 5% of the $30 trillion retirement assets to SHIB translates to inflows of $300 billion, $900 billion, or $1.5 trillion into the Shiba Inu ecosystem, respectively.

Therefore, if Gen Z and millennials invest 1% of their estimated retirement assets ($300 billion) in SHIB, this would grow Shiba Inu’s market cap to $307.81 billion. Allocating 3% ($900 billion) or 5% ($1.5 trillion) of the retirement assets to SHIB will propel Shiba Inu’s market cap to $907.81 billion or $1.507 trillion, respectively.

This analysis assumes that Shiba Inu’s supply remains stable at 589.25 trillion tokens, with no significant burn reported. Assuming Shiba Inu’s market cap climbs to $307.81 billion following a 1% retirement asset allocation from Gen-Z and Millennials, SHIB’s price would rise from $0.00001507 to $0.00052.

Similarly, if Shiba Inu’s market cap climbs to $907.8 billion or $1.507 trillion—following 3% and 5% allocations of retirement assets—SHIB would trade at approximately $0.00154 or $0.00255, respectively.

The estimated targets of $0.00052, $0.00154, and $0.00255 represent an increase of 3,818%, 11,505%, and 19,116% from the current price, respectively.

SHIB to $0.00052, $0.0015, and $0.0025 Predictions

It bears mentioning that these targets have been featured in several predictions. Last year, we estimated that Shiba Inu could hit a target of $0.000528 if it mirrors Ethereum’s performance and the second-biggest asset by market cap surges to $100,000.

Notably, Changelly experts speculated that the $0.00052 target will materialize for Shiba Inu by February 2034, exactly nine years from now. However, Changelly forecasted that Shiba Inu’s price will eliminate two zeros and rise to around $0.00158 by January 2040.

Moreover, experts at Changelly see the $0.00255 prediction playing out the following month, specifically by February 2040, with the price expected to reach a maximum level of $0.00268 by then.

Bullish Dogecoin Breaks $0.20 Resistance: Here’s the Next Key Hurdle

0

Prominent market analyst Ali Martinez has highlighted the next significant resistance level for Dogecoin after it crossed a major supply zone at $0.20.

For context, Dogecoin, the largest meme coin by market cap, defied the persistent resistance zone at $0.20 yesterday, following its 2.73% rise. The trend followed a broader altcoin market bullish momentum shift, spurred by Ethereum’s rally past $3,500.

Dogecoin Defies Four-Month Hurdle

Notably, Dogecoin flipped the former $0.20 support to resistance in March following its weak price momentum. Since the drop, DOGE has struggled to reclaim the price level, failing on several attempts.

It retested the supply wall on March 26 when it rallied to a high of $0.2061 but saw a price rejection. It tried again exactly a month later but experienced a similar outcome. When it finally broke above in May and reached another resistance at $0.25, it gave way to selling pressure and dropped back below $0.20 again.

Meanwhile, Martinez put into context why that resistance level proved strong for Dogecoin. The meme coin had a massive UTXO realized price distribution (URPD) ATH-partitioned at the $0.20 price level.

For the uninitiated, the metric highlights the distribution of unspent transaction outputs (UTXOs), identifying the amount of an asset acquired at a particular price level between $0 and its all-time high. This indicator helps market users pinpoint critical support and resistance areas.

For Dogecoin, 10.94 billion DOGE (7.29% of its supply) exchanged hands at the $0.20 price level, posing substantial selling pressure. Nonetheless, DOGE has cleared the level, sparking a 9% rally today to $0.2411 at the time of writing.

DOGE UTXO Realized Price Distribution: ATH-Partitioned

Analyst Identifies Next Key Dogecoin Resistance

Notably, Martinez has identified the next major hurdle for Dogecoin after beating $0.20. Using the UTXP URPD ATH-partitioned metric, he shared that the next strong resistance lies around $0.36.

Approximately 5.64 billion DOGE, equivalent to 3.76% of its circulating supply, moved in that area. The massive accumulation zone might create selling pressure from profit-taking holders. As a result, it is worth taking note of.

Meanwhile, this suggests that Dogecoin may have a free run from its current price to $0.36. From here, it represents a 49% surge and a rally to a seven-month price high.

Remarkably, there are higher price predictions for Dogecoin. Analyst Trader Tardigrade predicted a run to $0.42, $1.46, and $4. Interestingly, there are also projections of a surge to an ambitious $12 price per DOGE.

Experts Say Buying 1,000 XRP With 3000$ Is Insane—You Were Lucky to Buy Cheap

0

XRP commentators are highlighting how good a deal early investors got when they purchased XRP at a cheaper rate compared to its current value.

Following XRP’s recent surge above $3, several community figures express that accumulating significant positions is becoming difficult for most retail investors.

Owning 1,000 XRP Is Now Difficult for Many

Famous community figure James Jay ‘Six8Jay’ noted that it will be difficult for most people to acquire 1,000 XRP, currently valued at roughly $3,600. He suggested that most people lack the financial means to purchase the tokens.

Reacting, Xena emphasized that it is “insane” knowing that it costs more than $3,000 to scoop up 1,000 XRP today. She reminded early XRP buyers how fortunate they were to have purchased the token at a much cheaper rate in the past.

XRP Incredible Performance

Meanwhile, some investors reflected on how a portfolio of 1,000 XRP was initially worth $500 less than a year ago, when the price was hovering around $ 0.5.

However, XRP’s price has experienced a significant increase, climbing to $3.65 earlier today. At a unit price of $3.58, 1,000 XRP is now worth $3,580, representing a 616% surge from its $500 valuation just a few months ago.

Based on Xena and Jay’s commentaries, a purchase of 1,000 XRP, which was once a trivial expenditure when the price was less than a dollar, now requires a budget that most casual traders cannot afford.

Experts Reveal Why Owning 1,000 XRP is Non-Negotiable

Before XRP’s latest rally, several community figures had been encouraging investors to accumulate a minimum of 1,000 XRP. Last month, Edoardo Farina, the founder of Alpha Lion Academy, emphasized the need for investors to accumulate 1,000 XRP before October. At the time, 1,000 XRP had a dollar value of $2,300.

Farina suggested that, with ECB President Christine Lagarde supporting financial institutions’ shift to digital cash, XRP could play a central role in Europe’s cross-border payments. He also recommended that anyone serious about improving their financial situation should consider acquiring at least 1,000 XRP, which was worth $2,180 on June 16, 2025.

While early investors have locked in profits from acquiring 1,000 XRP at bargain prices, experts like Dustin Layton believe they could see more gains later this year. According to Layton, investors with holdings of 1,000 XRP should prepare for a minimum profit of $50,000 by the end of 2025.

This $50,000 valuation represents a minimum return of $46,400, particularly for investors who invest roughly $3,600 to acquire 1,000 XRP today.

The OG Bitcoin Whale with 80,009 BTC Worth $9.46B Has Now Dumped Everything

0

Slowly but steadily, a diamond-handed Satoshi-era Bitcoin whale who recently awoke after years of dormancy has now moved all his 80,000 BTC to Galaxy Digital.

The crypto community applauded the Bitcoin whale in early July for his balls in holding BTC through multiple cycles. The whale purchased 80,009 BTC for a little above $217,000 in 2011, distributed them among eight wallets, and remained dormant for over 14 years.

Now, the Bitcoin whale has become a source of selling pressure for the premier crypto asset. Earlier, some thought it was just a reallocation of funds to new wallets. In addition, Coinbase’s head of product suggested it was possibly a hack, but now it is clear the whale means business about dumping his stash.

Bitcoin Whale Completes BTC Shift to Galaxy Digital

Data from Arkham, elaborated on by Lookonchain, shows that the whale has been busy lately. It also started when he moved 9,000 BTC ($1.06 billion) through Galaxy Digital on July 15. The Bitcoin whale moved the stash from the “bcc1qq” address, and Galaxy Digital shifted the funds to multiple centralized exchanges.

The whale moved another 7,843 BTC ($927 million) a few hours later and didn’t stop until it had moved 40,000 BTC ($4.68 billion) to Galaxy Digital. Meanwhile, the digital asset platform shifted some of the funds simultaneously to Bybit and Binance.

Yesterday, the Satoshi-era Bitcoin whale moved the remaining 40,000 BTC to Galaxy Digital. He did this through a different wallet, “bc1qs4.” The address received the stash from four different wallets on Thursday before it began to move them to Galaxy.

“That’s Literally $8 billion”

Long-standing Bitcoin bear Jacob King took the opportunity to target enthusiasts of the premier cryptocurrency. He argued that the selling Bitcoin whale joins a growing list of early investors “jumping ship” recently.

Why are they selling? Jacob alleged it was because they know what is coming. According to him, Bitcoin was going to crash—a sentiment he has persistently echoed, despite BTC’s continued rise to fame and unprecedented prices.

Meanwhile, a user disagrees. “Dude, that’s literally $8 billion dollars that’s nothing,” the reaction pointed out. In truth, the $9.46 billion moved was meager in comparison to Bitcoin’s $2.38 trillion market cap.

Nonetheless, such a shift typically raises skepticism among short-term Bitcoin holders. Moreover, there is an emerging sentiment that Galaxy Digital bought the bitcoins, MartyParty highlighted this in a post today.

Veteran Investor Turns $10,000 in XRP Into $196,512, Says XRP Bull Run Is Just Starting

As the price of XRP soars to historic levels, long-term holders are reporting massive profits from their holdings, as modest investments have grown into fortunes.

In a tweet, widely followed technical analyst CrediBULL Crypto shared details of his XRP portfolio from 2019, which has grown by about 20x since then.

He had invested $10,000 in XRP in December 2019. Notably, he acquired a portfolio of 53,692 tokens with this sum, at an average cost of $0.1835 per XRP. At the time of purchase, CrediBULL expressed optimism that in four years, his $10,000 investment could grow enough to buy him a Lamborghini.

From $10,000 to $196,512 with XRP

However, over the years, XRP encountered significant challenges that impacted its price growth. The most notable was the SEC lawsuit, which emerged exactly a year after his purchase.

According to commentators, the lawsuit kept the price under pressure, limiting XRP’s potential. As a result, XRP failed to reach a new all-time high during the 2021 crypto bull market, topping out at just $1.96 in April 2021.

This season, however, things have changed significantly for XRP. The lawsuit is finally over, and the price is soaring. In particular, the coin touched a seven-year high of $3.66 today.

With this impressive price turnaround, CrediBULL took to X once again to share an update on his earlier $10,000 portfolio. He tweeted that the portfolio had risen in value to $186,000. This implied that at the time of the update, July 17, XRP was trading at approximately $3.46.

As of today, the price has risen even further. At XRP’s peak price today, the portfolio would have been worth $196,512. In perspective, this represents a massive gain of 1,865% over the last five and a half years.

Looking back at the challenges along the way, CrediBULL remarked that he had received significant criticism for suggesting XRP would reach new all-time highs. For a coin trading below its all-time high for over seven years, many had written it off as dead.

However, that is no longer the case. Even some of XRP’s harshest critics, like Davinci Jeremie, are now forecasting a double-digit price range for the coin.

Has XRP Not Even Started Yet?

Meanwhile, a commenter suggested that CrediBULL should have held Bitcoin over the same period, citing lower drawdowns, slightly better returns, and a better risk profile. While CrediBULL acknowledged this, he expressed that XRP has not even started its run.

According to him, with Bitcoin trading around $120,000, its bull run is nearing its end, while XRP is just getting started.

Santiment analyst Brian Quinlivan expressed a similar view in a recent podcast. He remarked that while Bitcoin is dominating headlines, XRP remains in the shadows. This suggests that the real retail FOMO has yet to arrive, even as the coin performs strongly.

CrediBULL believes that in six to twelve months, the current figures for XRP will look wildly different. One of his most bullish projections for XRP this season is a price of $30, an almost 9x increase from today’s level.

Here’s Why Shiba Inu Still Doesn’t Have an ETF Application Despite Its Size

0

Shiba Inu has failed to attract the interest of any mainstream asset manager for ETF applications despite being the second-largest meme coin in the market.

Notably, Shiba Inu secures this spot with a market cap of over $9 billion, much larger than the rest of the assets below it. Yet, no asset manager has filed for a Shiba Inu ETF. This has triggered concerns, especially as the smaller meme coins continue to secure ETF filings.

Shiba Inu Lacks ETF Interest Despite Current Position

Since January 2025, asset managers have rushed to file ETF applications tied to meme coins. Dogecoin (DOGE) took the lead, with firms like Rex Shares and Osprey Funds filing to launch DOGE ETFs. Grayscale also filed to convert its existing Dogecoin Trust into an ETF in January, while Bitwise submitted paperwork between January and March. 21Shares also filed for a Dogecoin ETF in April.

TRUMP coin also joined the discussion early in the year. Rex and Osprey included TRUMP in the same round of filings as DOGE. In addition, BONK, a Solana-based meme token, gained attention from both firms as well.

By March, Canary Capital applied for a PENGU ETF. This marked another step in the rising trend of meme coin ETFs, even for coins with smaller followings and less market share than SHIB. For context, PENGU is the sixth-largest meme coin, with only $1.9 billion in market cap.

Despite its strong position in the market, Shiba Inu remains excluded from these filings. Several possible reasons may explain this, though they remain speculative without formal confirmation.

Shiba Inu Ecosystem Team’s Anonymity

The most likely factor may involve the anonymity of SHIB’s ecosystem team. While Dogecoin runs without a clear leadership structure and TRUMP coin ties directly to a well-known public figure, Shiba Inu sits in the middle.

It has a dedicated team, but its key members, including visionary lead Shytoshi Kusama, have stayed anonymous. While Kusama has made several public appearances, he has chosen to shield his face from the public, consistently concealing his identity.

This lack of exposure may raise red flags for financial institutions that want to back projects with visible leadership or no leadership at all, especially when launching products under strict financial regulations. Notably, these mainstream institutions often prioritize transparency.

Lack of a High-Profile Figure

Secondly, SHIB also doesn’t benefit from major celebrity endorsements. Elon Musk and Mark Cuban have promoted Dogecoin, while TRUMP coin leans on its connection to President Donald Trump.

These figures boost the public image of their respective coins, making them more appealing to investors and ETF issuers alike. SHIB doesn’t have a similar high-profile backer, which may reduce its draw in the eyes of fund managers who rely on social sentiment and media hype to support these types of offerings.

Other Possible Factors Shiba Inu Has Not Seen an ETF Application

Another factor could be SHIB’s complex ecosystem. While Dogecoin focuses on simple peer-to-peer transactions, Shiba Inu supports a full DeFi environment. It includes tools like ShibaSwap, a Layer 2 blockchain called Shibarium, NFTs, and an upcoming metaverse project.

This shows innovation but asset managers may see it as too complicated to fit into an ETF structure. Simpler coins often attract more interest from institutions that prefer straightforward narratives and clean market use cases.

Also, Shiba Inu’s ecosystem remains in progress. Its token burn strategy, DeFi tools, and broader adoption are still developing. This might suggest to firms that SHIB hasn’t yet reached the maturity level they want for an ETF product.

Lastly, although SHIB boasts one of the strongest communities in crypto, it lacks a standout personality driving its visibility, which is due in part to Kusama’s anonymity. Dogecoin has Musk, and TRUMP coin has Trump. These individuals keep their coins in the headlines.

However, SHIB relies more on grassroots support. Notably, this support runs deep but may not shine as brightly in mainstream news, which matters when firms try to measure market sentiment before launching new products.

For now, SHIB continues to lead in market size and community strength. However, unless its public profile rises or asset managers start to value its complex ecosystem more highly, it may stay on the sidelines while other meme coins move forward in the ETF race.

Peter Brandt Says Bitcoin “Banana Chart” Is About to Split – What’s Next?

0

The next price trajectory for Bitcoin is shrouded in uncertainty, as Peter Brandt has identified that Bitcoin is at a critical junction.

“Which way will the Banana Split?” Brandt asked in an X post on Friday. An accompanying chart shows that Bitcoin is now at a critical price level, and its price reaction will determine the next phase of its near-term price action.

Bitcoin Reaches Banana Chart Resistance

A few days earlier, Brandt had highlighted that the entire price of Bitcoin could be described with a single fruit—a banana. Notably, this price structure engulfed the crypto firstborn’s price action dating back to 2010, with prices repeatedly shifting between its top and bottom.

Interestingly, each bull cycle has followed a parabolic trendline, resuming an uptrend after a period of price correction from the previous season’s top. Notably, Bitcoin has followed the same pattern this cycle, rising from a price bottom of $15,560 after the FTX implosion in November 2022 to its current all-time high of $123,141. Now, Bitcoin trades for $120,401 after a mild pullback.

Bitcoin Banana Split | Peter Brandt

At this stage, the price of Bitcoin is at a crucial resistance level, aligning with the top of the Banana chart, and Brandt is wary of its next move. The veteran analyst suggested that Bitcoin could split in two directions, either upwards to new price discoveries or downwards to retest previous prices.

Meanwhile, as a typical Banana chart and with Bitcoin’s previous reaction to the top of the pattern in previous cycles, prices could go sideways from here. Nonetheless, this remains uncertain, as many suggest that this cycle is different from previous ones due to institutional influx and an imminent supply shock.

Recall that Brandt earlier noted the possibility of a crash to $27,000, citing a recurring price action from the 2021 cycle. However, he flipped bullish a few weeks later, predicting that BTC could reach $150,000 in August.

Difficult for Bitcoin to Fall Below $100,000

Meanwhile, if things go sideways for Bitcoin, it would be difficult to fall below the six-figure price mark, according to analyst Timothy Peterson. He shared this analysis in a July 17 post, drawing context from the 2-year price trend.

An accompanying chart shows Bitcoin’s price trend along with the super 2-year trend support. Bitcoin has previously held its own at each visit to the trendline, as seen during the lows of $25,000 between August and September 2023, and the sharp correction in April, which brought the price down to $74,000.

Bitcoin Price Against the 2-Year Trend

Meanwhile, the 2-year support trendline has now reached the $100,000 price mark, marking strong support for the pioneering cryptocurrency. Citing this, Peterson has argued it would be difficult for Bitcoin to drop below $100,000.

Crypto Founder Predicts XRP Price 1 Year From Now if Bitcoin Climbs to $250,000

0

A market pundit and crypto founder has predicted what the XRP price could rise to a year from now should Bitcoin record a 2x gain.

The recent price prediction came from Zubic, founder of the NFT project Space Riders, in which he set price targets for the top 7 crypto assets by market cap, excluding stablecoins and TRON (TRX). His projections come when bullish sentiments have picked up, as the broader market spikes to new heights.

Specifically, Bitcoin (BTC) recently claimed a new all-time high above $123,000 before retracing to settle at $120,000, while XRP has decisively reclaimed the $3 price mark despite still trading below its 2018 all-time high.

Zubic believes the current momentum would eventually allow XRP to claim a new all-time peak over the next year. In particular, the market pundit predicts Bitcoin to soar to a price of $250,000 a year from now. With BTC trading for $120,306, this would mark a 107% gain from current levels.

XRP Price if Bitcoin Hits $250,000 a Year from Now

Meanwhile, with the same breath, he projected an XRP rally to $10, representing a new all-time high for the altcoin, and the first time its price would rise to two figures. Currently, XRP changes hands at $3.58, down from an intraday top of $3.66. To reach $10 from this mark, XRP would need to rise 179%.

Zubic on X
Zubic on X

Interestingly, this represents the height of the daily candle XRP recorded on April 2, 2017, its highest intraday close in history. For context, The Crypto Basic recently confirmed that XRP began that day with $0.0220 but closed with a price of $0.0615. We assessed during the time of the report that XRP would hit $8.76 if it replicated a similar 179% daily candle gain.

However, with the XRP price having increased to the current level of $3.58, a 179% rise from the current level would push it to $10. Notably, Zubic is not the only market commentator calling for an XRP run to $10. Last month, analyst EGRAG projected XRP could rally to $10, using several indicators such as the Gaussian Channel, the Kangaroo Pattern, and EMAs.

Despite the impressive gains that could come from an XRP surge to $10, several community figures believe this price is modest, and XRP could do much better. For instance, Edoardo Farina, who leads social adoption at XRPHealthcare, suggested that any investor who sells their XRP bag at $10 will be making a lifetime mistake.

Predictions for Other Altcoins

Meanwhile, besides XRP, Zubic also set price targets for Ethereum (ETH), BNB, Solana (SOL), Dogecoin (DOGE), and Cardano (ADA). While he sees SOL hitting $500 a year from now, marking a 177% rise from the current $180 value, Zubic expects ETH to drop to $2,500, a 30% collapse from its $3,500 price at press time.

Moreover, the market commentator sees BNB rising 104% from the current price of $733 to $1,500, and DOGE surging 757% to $2. Nonetheless, he is bearish on ADA, predicting an 82% crash to $0.15.
