Here’s How High Shiba Inu Price Could Go If Solana Skyrockets to $3,000

0

Shiba Inu could see its price eliminate a leading zero and trade with a market cap exceeding $132 billion if Solana reaches a price of $3,000.

Crypto assets like Solana (SOL) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) have experienced similar price dips recently as the bull momentum stalls but Optimism remains high in the crypto community regarding the future performance of both Solana and Shiba Inu. Both assets have a history of impressive growth during bull runs, and market participants are confident in their price actions.

For instance, at its current price of $240, Solana is up 183% over the past year. Similarly, at $0.00001983, Shiba Inu has gained 124% over the same timeframe.

This analysis considers the potential price of Shiba Inu should Solana’s value expand by more than ten-fold during this bull run.

Shiba Inu Price If Solana Reaches $3,000

At Solana’s current price of $247, a rise to $3,000 would require an increase of 1,115%. Notably, Solana currently has a market cap of $120.45 billion with a circulating supply of 486 million.

Should it maintain this supply, a price of $3,000 would bring Solana’s market cap to approximately $1.46 trillion, implying a 12-fold growth.

The market cap difference between Shiba Inu and Solana is approximately $110 billion. If Shiba Inu were to follow a similar growth pattern as Solana’s rise to $3,000 (i.e., its market cap grew by 12x), its cap could potentially increase to about $132 billion.

At press time, Shiba Inu is trading at $0.00001983 with a supply of 589 trillion tokens. A $132 billion market cap for SHIB would correspond to a unit price of $0.00024094.

This suggests that Shiba Inu could potentially cancel another zero if Solana reaches a $1.46 trillion market cap, especially if the current gap between the two assets remains unchanged.

Can Shiba Inu Reach a $132 Billion Market Cap?

Numerous market analysts have expressed the belief that Shiba Inu could surpass a $100 billion valuation in this cycle. Recently, a Bitcoin analyst predicted that SHIB could reach prices of $0.000183312 (an 821% gain) and $0.0004729 (a 2,276% gain).

For context, both price projections would imply a market cap exceeding $100 billion for SHIB. Specifically, the $0.0004729 price corresponds to a $278 billion market cap, which the analyst believes is achievable this year.

CryptoQuant Analyses Reveal Two Signals That Will Show When the Bitcoin Bull Run is Over

0

Analyses from analytical resource CryptoQuant identifies two signals that could show the Bitcoin bull run is close to the end.

Notably, Bitcoin continues to consolidate around the $105,000 level, leaving traders uncertain about the market’s next move. While the asset remains above the $100,000 psychological barrier, the altcoin season has yet to take off, and several altcoins are still below their all-time highs.

The prevalent uncertainty has led some to speculate that the bull run may be nearing its end. However, CryptoQuant analysts believe the bull cycle is still ongoing and have identified two major signals that will indicate when the bull run is truly over.

Bitcoin Buying Engine Still Active

Ki Young Ju, CEO of CryptoQuant, recently stated that the current Bitcoin bull cycle is not yet finished. He pointed out that demand for Bitcoin from institutional investors remains strong, particularly through exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

According to him, in 2021, Bitcoin’s market downturn came two months after inflows into the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) dried up. Young Ju suggested that, in this cycle, as long as ETF demand remains high, the bull run is likely to continue.

Data shows that Bitcoin ETFs have been increasing their holdings since their launch in January 2024. The pace of accumulation has also accelerated since October 2024. As of now, Bitcoin ETFs hold approximately 1.163 million BTC, valued at over $123 billion. This accounts for about 5.94% of Bitcoin’s total market capitalization.

In addition, MicroStrategy has continued its weekly Bitcoin purchases, adding to the institutional demand. Ju believes the bull run will only end when MicroStrategy purchases, ETF inflows, and institutional demand begin to slow down.

Surge in New Investors Could Signal Market Top

Meanwhile, CryptoQuant analyst Crypto Dan, also discussed the current market conditions. He explained that Bitcoin remains in a bullish phase, but traders should start exercising caution. The analyst focused on Bitcoin held for less than six months, which indicates new capital inflows.

He noted that with every market cycle, capital inflows into Bitcoin increase. The introduction of spot Bitcoin ETFs in this cycle has led to even greater investments from both institutional and retail investors.

He expects these inflows to continue into the first half of 2025. However, if Bitcoin and altcoins experience a strong surge, attracting a wave of new investors and leading to a top in the UTXO Age Bands for less than six months, it could signal the peak of the cycle.

Notably, historical data supports this outlook. In January 2018, when these young UTXO Age Bands started dropping, the market entered a bearish phase.

Bitcoin UTXO Age Bands CryptoQuant

A similar pattern emerged in 2021 when the UTXO Age Bands for less than six months peaked in January before declining throughout the year. If a similar sharp surge happens again, it may signal that the current bull run is close to an end.

Bitcoin Still Targets Higher Highs

Further bolstering optimism that the bull run remains intact, technical analyst Gert van Lagen highlighted a Bitcoin megaphone pattern that began forming on the two-week chart in April 2021.

The structure formed when BTC dropped from its $65,000 peak nearly four years ago. Over time, price movements fluctuated within this structure, with the 2022 bear market pushing prices to the lower trendline.

However, with Bitcoin now making higher highs, it is testing the upper trendline of the megaphone pattern. Van Lagen believes that Bitcoin has broken out of this pattern and retested it, expecting a rally toward $271,000. At press time, Bitcoin changes hands at $104,988, trading flat in the last 24 hours.

US State of Arkansas Rejects Bill to Criminalize Bitcoin Mining Near Military Sites

0

The Arkansas Senate rejects a bill seeking to prohibit Bitcoin mining activities across locations close to military sites.

The Arkansas Senate Committee on City, County, and Local Affairs voted against the bill to ban crypto-related mining operations within a 30-mile radius of military sites.

According to a report by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, the committee voted against this bill in a 6-1 vote yesterday. The bill had proposed an immediate ban on Bitcoin mining activities established close to military facilities, citing health and security concerns.

If the bill had passed, Arkansas would have revoked business permits already issued to Bitcoin mining companies operating near military sites, making their operations illegal.

Trump Promises Unending Support for Bitcoin Mining

Recall that the Joe Biden administration was strict against crypto businesses, including those focused on Bitcoin mining. In May 2024, due to security concerns, the administration stopped a Chinese-backed crypto mining firm, Mine One Partners Limited, from securing a facility close to a Wyoming Air Force base.

However, Donald Trump has promised unending support for the industry, potentially making the U.S. the crypto capital of the world. The initiative includes ensuring that the U.S. becomes the destination where all future Bitcoins would be mined.

Per a recent report by TheMinerMag, the United States already accounts for more than 40% of Bitcoin mining hashrate. This figure could soar soon, as Trump’s administration might implement friendly regulations to attract more Bitcoin miners into the country.

Bitcoin Miners Addressing Environmental Concerns

Meanwhile, Bitcoin miners are making significant efforts to tackle concerns relating to environmental waste and high energy consumption.

For instance, Canaan, a popular blockchain hardware manufacturer, launched the Avalon Mini 3 miner, a dual-purpose Bitcoin miner that also serves as a home heater.

The miner, unveiled at CES 2025 in Las Vegas this year, has a 37.5 TH/s capacity, allowing users to warm their homes with the heat emanating from the equipment.

Over $10B in Bitcoin and Ethereum Options Expired Today: What to Expect

0

Today, over $10 billion worth of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) options expired amid mixed bullish and bearish sentiment.

This expiry is particularly notable given the backdrop of macroeconomic developments and ongoing political changes influencing market expectations.

Breakdown of Expired $8.38B Bitcoin Options

Today, 80,000 BTC options worth $8.38 billion expired with a Put-Call Ratio of 0.68. This expiration figure notably surpasses the 31,000 BTC expiry recorded last week following Donald Trump’s crypto executive order.

The latest figure comes amid a volatile week for Bitcoin. At one point, Bitcoin dropped to $97K, then rebounded to $106K before stabilizing. As of press time, Bitcoin is trading at $104,707, with a weekly decline of 0.67%.

Notably, the recent intra-week price boost followed monetary policy announcements from the U.S. and Europe. On Thursday, the U.S. Federal Reserve decided to maintain interest rates, which sparked a price surge to $105K.

Later in the day, the European Central Bank announced a 25-basis point rate cut, triggering further advancement to $106K.

Although these policies briefly boosted the Bitcoin market, the excitement quickly faded. Meanwhile, Ethereum has seen a more varied sentiment.

ETH Options See $1.96B Expiry

In the Ethereum derivatives market, 603,000 ETH options expired, representing a notional value of $1.96 billion. The Put-Call Ratio for ETH is more optimistic at 0.43, indicating a stronger preference for calls over puts.

Earlier this week, Ethereum nearly dipped below the $3,000 mark but has since rebounded to $3,353, showing a 4.4% increase in the past 24 hours.

Political Factors Weighing on Crypto

In its commentary, Greeks.live highlighted that broader macroeconomic factors are also playing a major role in shaping the crypto market.

Notably, many expected the excitement surrounding Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 47th U.S. president to drive capital inflows. However, the market has instead experienced predominantly mild shifts.

According to Greeks.live, this is due to a combination of slow policy releases and the promotion of meme coins by political leaders, which have reportedly undermined confidence in the market’s fundamentals.

However, the trading firm noted that the long-term outlook remains mildly optimistic. Overall, the crypto sector hopes to benefit from the future implementation of policy shifts under the new U.S. administration and ETF inflows.

European Central Bank President Says No EU Central Bank Will Hold Bitcoin in Reserves

0

The European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde ruled out the possibility of European Union (EU) central banks adding Bitcoin to their reserves.

Speaking in Frankfurt, she stated that Bitcoin does not meet the necessary requirements for liquidity, security, or reliability. Her comments followed discussions within the ECB’s Governing Council and an exchange of views with the Czech National Bank (CNB).

ECB Highlights Strict Criteria for Reserve Assets

Lagarde emphasized that central bank reserves must remain liquid and free from risks associated with illicit financial activities. She suggested that Bitcoin lacks these qualities, making it unsuitable for inclusion in central bank reserves.

The ECB’s policy remains aligned with the broader stance of its General Council, which comprises EU central bank governors.

Ongoing Discussions Among Central Banks

Lagarde acknowledged conversations with Czech officials and reiterated that any decisions remain within their jurisdiction. However, she maintained that all central banks under the ECB umbrella prioritize liquidity and security when managing reserves.

The discussions on Bitcoin reserves emerged following a statement by Czech National Bank Governor Ales Michl. He indicated that the CNB would explore the possibility of diversifying its reserves with alternative assets.

However, Lagarde reaffirmed her confidence that no central bank within the ECB’s General Council would adopt Bitcoin.

Czech National Bank Explores Diversification

Michl recently told the Financial Times that the CNB was evaluating whether Bitcoin could represent 5% of its reserves. Following public interest, he clarified on social media that discussions were still in the preliminary stages.

Meanwhile, the Czech finance minister also expressed concerns regarding adopting Bitcoin in the country’s reserve.

Notably, the CNB’s seven-member policy board approved an assessment of alternative asset classes. The bank announced that its evaluation would focus on diversification and potential returns.

However, the statement did not specifically mention Bitcoin. Officials confirmed that no changes would be made until further decisions were reached.

“Musk It”: Elon Musk’s Father Joins the Celebrity Memecoin Trend

0

Errol Musk, father of the world’s richest man, Elon Musk, throws his weight behind a meme coin named Musk It (MUSKIT).

With crypto’s growing popularity and ease of adoption has come a controversial new wave of crypto assets called celebrity tokens or celebrity memecoins.

Following President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump’s decision to jump on the trend a few weeks ago, it should probably come as no surprise that more of these types of assets may be set to come out of the woodwork.

The latest to jump on the bandwagon is the supposedly estranged father of Tesla CEO and Dogecoin champion Elon Musk.

“Musk It”

Errol Musk, father of the world’s richest man, Elon Musk, is throwing his weight behind a memecoin named Musk It (MUSKIT).

On Thursday, January 30, Fortune reported that Errol Musk and a business partner, Nathan Browne, intended to raise $150 million to $200 million from the project to fund a so-called Musk Institute dedicated to scientific pet projects of his choosing, including the development of flying cars.

Interestingly, Musk It was not created by Errol Musk and his partner. The project was reportedly quietly launched by a Middle Eastern firm in December 2024. The Tesla CEO’s dad and his partner reportedly joined after they had come up with the Musk Institute idea.

Speaking to Fortune, Musk senior asserted that he was now ready to promote the project.

No Links to Elon

The memecoin has no links to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Errol and his partner asserted. The Tesla chief has reportedly long put intentional distance between himself and his father amid claims of abuse. Musk senior, however, denies these claims.

Seemingly addressing possible issues that are likely to come with the public inadvertently linking the project with his son, he asserted:

“I’m the head of the family. It really started with me in our family—I’ve been ‘Musking It’ for years.”

Despite trying to distance the project verbally from the Tesla chief, the senior Musk appears unconcerned that the project’s branding could stir confusion.

The website heavily features imagery and references linked to the Tesla chief’s businesses, from a Tesla Cybertruck to his desire to take humanity to Mars with Space X.

“MUSK IT MARS BASE OPENING SOON,” the only caption on the page reads.

Meanwhile, little is known about Musk It’s token distribution, apparently even by Errol Musk.

What is known is that the token was launched on the popular Solana meme coin generator pump.fun on December 6, per DEX Screener data. Solscan data further suggests that the token has a nearly 1 billion supply currently held by over 46,000 addresses. Less than 10% of holders control about 20% of the entire supply.

Following Fortune‘s report, the token’s value has shot up over 500% to about $0.006 at the time of writing, with a market capitalization of nearly $67 million.

Musk Senior and Browne asserted that they only joined the project after receiving guarantees that it would not end up as another celebrity pump-and-dump coin. However, whether these guarantees will hold up remains to be seen as it would not be the first time a celebrity has offered investors such promises only to disappoint.

Dogecoin to $3.8: Analyst Says DOGE Gearing for Massive Rally as Social Dominance Spikes

0

Several indicators point to an impending Dogecoin price outburst, with an analyst asserting the asset would target an ambitious surge to $3.80.

Analyst Trader Tardigrade insists that a massive rally is imminent for Dogecoin, the largest meme coin by market cap. In a tweet today, he shared a chart suggesting that the doggy-themed token will target a surge to $3.80 this cycle.

Dogecoin Gearing for An Upsurge

The chart suggests that Dogecoin will mirror its previous cyclical performance this season. It shows how Dogecoin has historically pushed past its past cycle highs and surged considerably after the break of structure.

Dogecoin to $3.80

Trader Tardigrade expects the 9th-largest cryptocurrency by market cap to repeat that pattern soon, speculating it will surge more than 1,040% from its current market price to $3.80.

Meanwhile, the analysis follows a January 30 prediction of Dogecoin’s dominance breakout against Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency by market cap. The commentary showed that the DOGE/BTC weekly chart forms a falling wedge and is currently on a crucial support level.

The market speculator suggested that Dogecoin’s dominance could break from the wedge and spearhead a broader altcoin market rally in the coming weeks. Notably, Trader Tardigrade predicted in another tweet that this could happen in February, a month known for surges from Ethereum and other altcoin.

More Analysis Confirms Impending Rally

Adding to the bullish outlook, seasoned market trader Coinvo confirmed growing optimism of a Dogecoin rally. He recently asserted that the prominent meme token would hit a new all-time high in the near term, mirroring its last bull cycle’s outing.

An accompanying chart cited Dogecoin’s price behavior at its current level in the 2021 bull cycle. Last season, the asset surged 12,000% from this position, swinging to its current all-time high of $0.7605.

Dogecoin Nears ATH

In the meantime, Dogecoin would have to hold $0.33 for more upsides. A recent analysis highlighted that the meme coin needs to sustain the level for an immediate push to $0.4155 before it can target new highs.

Dogecoin’s Social Activity Confirms Bullish Traction

Further, the social activities around the Dogecoin ecosystem indicate the meme coin is catching attention. LunarCrush Analytics shows that the growing buzz from its ever-cheering community has seen its social dominance against all other crypto assets reach a multi-month high of 4.45%.

Dogecoin Social Dominance

For perspective, a growing social presence could influence the perspective of market participants toward an asset and drive positive market sentiments. As a result, Dogecoin’s booming media activity could translate to price shifts if the buzz persists.

At press time, Dogecoin trades at $0.335 and is on track to close green for the third consecutive day.

“Bitcoin Will Not Enter the Reserves of Any EU Central Bank”: European Central Bank’s Lagarde

0

European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde pours cold water on any talks of central banks within the European Union adopting Bitcoin strategic reserves.

A major narrative driving the crypto markets with the turn of the new year is that Bitcoin is set to become a global reserve asset on par with gold. However, the asset’s journey to achieving this status as a new monetary standard is not likely to be smooth sailing, especially if the European Central Bank President has anything to say about it.

Christine Lagarde Kicks Bitcoin Reserve Talks

European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde has poured cold water on any talks of central banks within the European Union adopting Bitcoin strategic reserves.

Speaking at a press conference following the ECB’s interest rate decision on Thursday, January 30, Lagarde expressed confidence that no central bank in the ECB’s General Council will adopt the leading crypto asset as a strategic reserve.

“I’m confident that … bitcoins will not enter the reserves of any of the central banks of the General Council,” she asserted.

The statement from Lagarde follows comments from Czech Republic National Bank Governor Aleš Michl suggesting that the bank was set to consider diversifying up to 5% of its reserves, about $7.3 billion, into the digital asset.

According to Lagarde, however, Bitcoin does not fit into the ECB General Council’s definition of a reserve asset.

“Reserves have to be liquid, that reserves have to be secure, that they have to be safe, that they should not be plagued by the suspicion of money laundering or other criminal activities,” she asserted, arguing against Bitcoin’s fit as a reserve asset.

Lagarde’s statements make it less likely that the Czech Republic will move ahead with any Bitcoin reserve plans.

While the ECB cannot explicitly dictate how member states choose to invest their funds, it can use tools like sanctions and penalties to impose its will.

Still, all hope may not be lost. On Thursday, the Czech central bank approved the proposal to consider investing its reserves in other assets, which Michl had asserted could include Bitcoin earlier in the week.

Shiba Inu Path to $0.000030: Will It Overcome Bearish Pressure at $0.000020?

Shiba Inu takes a sudden bullish turn as the meme coin market rally gains momentum. Will this lead to a sharp increase in SHIB prices?

After a slight recovery in meme coins, Shiba Inu has made a bullish comeback, bouncing back from the $0.000017 support level. With a lower price rejection and two consecutive bullish candles, Shiba Inu is showing signs of a potential reversal.

However, rising selling signals from technical indicators warn of a possible extended correction. Should you consider buying this meme coin before the 2025 bull run begins? Let’s take a closer look.

Shiba Inu Price Reversal: Will Buyers Take Control?

On the daily chart, Shiba Inu is amid a significant pullback. After failing to hold above the 78.6% Fibonacci retracement level at $0.00003149, the meme coin plummeted to nearly $0.000017.

BINANCE:SHIBUSDT Chart Image by Trojan69420

Hence, the Shiba Inu price trend broke multiple support levels. Crashing under the 200 EMA line, the bearish influence over the dynamic supports has led to bearish crossovers.

The 50 and 100 EMA lines present a negative crossover, highlighting a selling signal. However, with a minor reversal from the 23.60% Fibonacci level, the MACD indicator is recording a minor surge in bullish momentum.

The MACD and signal lines are nearing a bullish crossover, while the negative histograms are losing strength. This indicates a divergence in the momentum indicators and the dynamic averages, suggesting some short-term uncertainty.

SHIB Price Targets

Based on Fibonacci levels, the uptrend must sustain dominance above the $0.000020 psychological mark for an extended rally. This is because the psychological mark coincides with the 200 EMA line and the 38.20% Fibonacci level.

Hence, a bullish resurgence above this psychological mark will likely establish a strong uptrend in Shiba Inu.

According to the Fibonacci levels, the meme coin could complete a rounding bottom reversal, potentially reaching the $0.000030 mark.

On the flip side, if the 23.60% Fibonacci level fails to hold the Shiba Inu price, the downfall is likely to prove fatal for SHIB. As per the Fibonacci level, the immediate support level is the $0.000010 psychological mark.

This pullback will also increase the chances of a death cross between the 50 EMA and 200 EMA lines. In such a case, the highly bearish technical signatures will prolong the pullback in Shiba Inu.

At press time, Shiba Inu is trading at $0.00001868, up 0.4% today.

Peter Brandt Says No Other Way to Describe XRP Chart Other Than a Bull Flag, Sets $4.4 Target

0

Veteran trader Peter Brandt has nodded to XRP upward trajectory, identifying a bullish pattern and possible targets amid an imminent breakout.

The XRP ecosystem is oozing bullishness amid strong macroeconomic factors. Grayscale’s latest entrant into the XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF) race echoes the growing institutional traction toward the third-largest cryptocurrency by market cap while raising optimism about the product’s approval.

XRP reacted positively to the latest development, rallying to an intraday high of $3.1553 before a steep price recline. Notwithstanding, market expert Peter Brandt suggested in his recent analysis that it could be all the way up for XRP from here.

XRP Steadies Within Bullish Flag Pattern

While acknowledging that he could care less about what XRP does from here, Brandt mentioned he would love to be long if the asset continues its scintillating run of form. Furthermore, he attested to the technically bullish price action on the XRP chart, insinuating higher prices.

Brandt highlighted the flag pattern on the XRP 1D chart, which the asset looks set to break from. Although he inferred the structure was bullish, he noted it could change over time.

The accompanying chart indicates the price target following the imminent breakout. XRP will swing to two unprecedented prices, including a 15% and 43% rally from the current market price to $3.5487 and $4.3954, respectively.

XRP Bull Flag

The analysis comes on the heels of Brandt’s earlier assertion that XRP will hit $4.6. He cited a half-mast flag formation on the asset’s chart and predicted that the pattern’s targeted flagpole height would culminate in the price mark.

Bull Flag Confirmation

Meanwhile, other analyses confirm the formation of a bull flag on the XRP price chart. Market analyst “Disrupt Yourself” showed the structure formation on the asset’s 3-hour timeframe, speculating a surge to $3.9 upon breakout.

Cryptodanovic also confirmed the bullish pattern. In an X post, he noted that XRP traded between the price structure, asserting an upswing to $4.8 when the asset breaches the pattern.

In the meantime, XRP trades at $3.0769, down almost 2% in the past 24 hours.
