If MicroStrategy Would Have Bought XRP Rather than Bitcoin, Here’s How Much Profit It Would Have Made

0

Software development firm MicroStrategy would have witnessed a nearly 3-fold increase in profit if it invested in XRP rather than Bitcoin.

The ongoing hostilities between the Bitcoin and XRP communities have grown more intense following speculation that XRP might secure inclusion in the U.S. strategic reserve. Notably, these speculations came on the back of the recent crypto executive order from President Donald Trump.

Amid the growing FUD campaign XRP has faced over the past few days, former Ripple and current Arbitrum developer advocate Matt Hamilton called attention to what he believes could be contributing to the hostility from Bitcoin maximalists.

Particularly, Hamilton compared XRP price performance with Bitcoin’s price action during MicroStrategy’s aggressive Bitcoin acquisition strategy and found that if the software development firm had opted for XRP, its profits could have been significantly higher.

MicroStrategy Makes $17B+ Profit from Bitcoin

For context, between August 2020 and January 13, 2025, MicroStrategy purchased around 450,000 Bitcoin, spending $28.2 billion. As of Jan. 13, 2025, this investment was worth $45.3 billion, resulting in a profit of $17.1 billion.

Notably, their first Bitcoin purchase occurred on Aug. 11, 2020, when they acquired 21,454 BTC for $250 million at an average price of $11,652 per coin.

Meanwhile, their two largest acquisitions were on Dec. 9, 2024, when they bought 21,550 BTC for $2.1 billion at $97,405 per coin, and Dec. 16, 2024, when they added 15,350 BTC for $1.5 billion at $97,735 per coin.

Further, the most recent purchase on the chart occurred on Jan. 13, 2025, with 2,530 BTC bought for $243 million at an average price of $96,057 per token. It bears mentioning that this evaluation omitted MicroStrategy’s latest Bitcoin buy, which involved 11,000 BTC for a total price of $1.1 billion on Jan. 21, the largest for this year.

XRP Would Have Yielded $50B+ Profit

The image shared by Hamilton suggested that if MicroStrategy had invested the same $28.2 billion in XRP, the firm could have seen much greater returns. Using historical XRP prices, the chart estimated they could have acquired 31.4 billion XRP, now worth $79 billion.

The first hypothetical XRP purchase on Aug. 11, 2020, would have secured 869.6 million XRP for $250 million at $0.2875 per token.

Meanwhile, the two largest hypothetical purchases would have occurred on Dec. 9, 2024, with $2.1 billion procuring 612.9 million XRP at $2.1994 per token, and Dec. 16, 2024, with $1.5 billion securing 646.3 million XRP at $2.3207 per token.

On Jan. 13, 2025, the firm could have obtained 96.9 million XRP for $243 million at $2.5064 per coin. According to the assessment, this alternate approach would have resulted in $50.4 billion in profit, over $33 billion more than Bitcoin.

Hamilton’s disclosure triggered reactions from the crypto community. Arniel Sia, a Bitcoiner and founder of Siacfo, responded by noting that XRP’s price has never recovered from its 2017 high of $3.84, unlike Bitcoin, which has since surpassed its previous peak.

Sia stressed that Bitcoin presents a means to escape fiat’s inflationary system rather than just increasing dollar wealth. Hamilton agreed with his argument but also highlighted XRP’s fixed supply and resilience to debasement, which he believes make it a valuable asset.

Riot VP Claims XRP is the Biggest Obstacle to a US Strategic Bitcoin Reserve

0

Riot Platforms’ VP of Research claims XRP poses the biggest obstacle to the creation of a strategic Bitcoin reserve in the U.S.

His comments come on the back of a recent executive order by President Donald Trump, which has triggered discussions within the crypto industry. The order, issued three days into his presidency, mandates the creation of a Presidential Working Group to handle digital asset matters.

Among its provisions, the order suggests exploring the creation of a “digital assets stockpile” rather than a Bitcoin-exclusive reserve. This has triggered controversy, especially among Bitcoin maximalists, who argue that only Bitcoin should be part of any strategic reserve.

While the order does not explicitly mention XRP, most Bitcoiners have focused on the token amid the complaints due to indicators pointing to its potential inclusion.

“XRP Biggest Obstacle to a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve”

For instance, Pierre Rochard, Vice President of Research at Riot Platforms, a Bitcoin mining company, claims that XRP is the primary threat to establishing a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve (SBR).

Rochard alleges that Ripple, the largest holder of XRP, is heavily lobbying against Bitcoin exclusivity by investing millions in political efforts. He further accuses Ripple of previously undermining Bitcoin mining during the Biden administration.

Meanwhile, in response, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse stated that the payments firm is actually increasing the likelihood of a crypto-inclusive strategic reserve. According to him, this aligns with President Trump’s focus on supporting American businesses and technology.

Further, Vet, an XRPL dUNL validator, criticized Rochard’s Bitcoin-only stance, arguing that a strategic reserve should represent the entire cryptocurrency industry. According to Vet, limiting the reserve to Bitcoin alone caters to the egos of Bitcoin maximalists and ignores the broader benefits that come with the crypto industry.

Growing Debate

However, individuals like Wayne Vaughan, a Bitcoin advocate, insist that a strategic reserve should only contain Bitcoin. Vaughan recommended that the United States establish a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and not a general crypto reserve.

The market participant warned that including crypto assets like XRP, Ethereum, or Solana on the government’s balance sheet would be politically costly for the Trump administration.

Hailey Lennon, a partner at the law firm Brown Ludnick, also supported this view. Lennon believes a reserve should exclude crypto assets promoted by centralized entities that profit from their growth. Nonetheless, some have pointed to MicroStrategy’s large Bitcoin holdings as a factor that could also disqualify Bitcoin.

Meanwhile, Lennon pointed out a difference between a “stockpile” and a “strategic reserve.” In her opinion, a stockpile could include other cryptocurrencies confiscated by the government, but a strategic reserve should focus solely on Bitcoin.

Countering her view, Attorney Jeremy Hogan questioned why centralized promotion, or unknown creators should matter when forming a strategic reserve. He emphasized that a reserve’s purpose is to secure a supply of digital assets for emergencies, making the exclusion of other crypto assets unnecessary.

Amid the commotion, Eleanor Terrett, a FOX Business reporter, observed the growing conflict between crypto communities. She noted that the absence of a common regulatory foe, such as the SEC, has shifted the debate inward.

US Strategic Reserve to Promote US-based Coins like XRP

0

The vision of a crypto strategic reserve in the United States is on track, and digital assets like XRP, USDC, Cardano, and Solana are set to benefit.

Yesterday, the crypto community was abuzz as President Donald Trump signed a pro-crypto executive order. This move aligns with his campaign promise to make America the “Crypto Capital” of the world.

Notably, the order establishes a Presidential Working Group to develop a federal regulatory framework for digital assets. The group, chaired by White House Crypto Czar David Sacks, will include top federal agency heads.

Agencies have 30 days to identify regulations impacting digital assets, with recommendations due in 60 days. The Working Group will submit a comprehensive legislative and regulatory proposal to the president within 180 days, including public hearings and expert consultations.

Key Points of Trump’s Crypto Executive Order

Notably, the executive order aims to foster innovation in digital assets and blockchain technology while protecting economic freedom. Specifically, the administration seeks to promote responsible growth in digital assets, blockchain, and related technologies.

It would ensure legal access, development, and use, including safeguarding individual rights to engage in blockchain activities and the self-custody of assets.

Importantly, the order also seeks to promote U.S. dollar-backed stablecoins and protect access to banking services. Additionally, it calls for technology-neutral regulations, clear jurisdictional boundaries, and frameworks that support a digital economy.

Meanwhile, one of the most important highlights is that the working group will assess the possibility of creating and maintaining a national “digital asset stockpile.”

The order specifies that this reserve could include crypto assets lawfully seized by the federal government through law enforcement actions.

This move solidifies Bitcoin’s position in the proposed national reserve, as the U.S. government currently holds around 200,000 BTC from law enforcement seizures. The order also suggests the potential inclusion of other cryptocurrencies beyond Bitcoin.

The Place for US-based Coins like XRP

Now, in an interesting development, a January 16 report indicated that Trump is open to establishing a national reserve focused on cryptocurrencies like XRP, Solana, and USDC, given their U.S.-based origins.

This initiative aims to support domestic blockchain projects by prioritizing assets developed within the country over those based offshore.

Trump’s Focus is on Supporting American Firms: Ripple CEO

Amid these developments, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has expressed support for the idea of a U.S. crypto reserve that includes Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for diversification purposes. Garlinghouse has met with Trump, likely to push forward this proposal.

Interestingly, in a conversation on X, Garlinghouse reminded the crypto community of Trump’s campaign focus on supporting American companies and technologies.

Specifically, crypto projects of American origin include assets like XRP, Cardano, and the USDC stablecoin.

Furthermore, Garlinghouse noted that Ripple’s lobbying efforts in the White House are increasing the likelihood of a strategic crypto reserve, which could include Bitcoin, becoming a reality.

In an interview with FOX, Crypto Czar David Sacks confirmed that the working group is considering a national stockpile of “digital assets” without specifically naming Bitcoin. He clarified that the team would study this further.

Pundit Gives 5 Reasons Showing XRP is Not a Memecoin But a Scam Coin

0

A Bitcoin community figure outlines five reasons he believes XRP is a scam coin amid discussions around its inclusion in the U.S. strategic reserve.

The crypto community remains divided as Bitcoin maximalists and altcoin supporters continue to clash. Recently, prominent Bitcoin advocate and online personality “Bitcoin Dad” intensified this commotion with a criticism of XRP. He outlined five key reasons he believes XRP is a “scam coin.”

Bitcoin Dad’s comments have emerged amid discussions about a possible U.S. strategic digital asset reserve following President Donald Trump’s executive order.

While the executive order makes no mention of XRP, speculation over the token’s inclusion have emerged, as most believe it remains a potential top pick. Further, prominent crypto figure Scott Melker recently suggested that XRP was under consideration, citing reliable sources.

However, the idea that XRP could secure an inclusion in the reserve has fueled unease among Bitcoin supporters, with some actively expressing their concerns. This has triggered an extensive FUD campaign against XRP over the past few days.

Concerns About XRP’s Early Ledger

Particularly, Bitcoin Dad is the latest to voice these criticisms, citing five reasons he believes XRP is not really a meme coin but a scam coin instead.

For the first reason, he noted that the initial stages of the XRP Ledger were marred by irregularities. He highlighted the loss of the first 32,000 ledger entries, a situation he believes raises serious questions about the project’s transparency and trustworthiness.

Whether the loss stemmed from technical issues or deliberate action, Bitcoin Dad argues this history undermines confidence in the asset. Notably, Ripple CTO David Schwartz has addressed these concerns, noting that there was a bug with the servers.

Centralization Concerns

Centralization is the second reason why Bitcoin Dad believes XRP is a scam coin. The Bitcoin maxi asserts that XRP cannot be considered a decentralized digital asset.

According to him, Ripple and its founders control a significant portion of the token’s supply. Bitcoin Dad states that over 50% of the tokens are held by insiders, primarily through a pre-mining process.

He believes that this goes against the decentralized ethos of blockchain technology. It bears mentioning that Ripple and its founders do hold a substantial amount of XRP, with the firm itself boasting 37.7 billion. However, these tokens are locked in escrow and not all accessible.

Regulatory Issues

Bitcoin Dad believes the legal classification of XRP is another contentious issue. He pointed out that XRP has faced scrutiny from regulators, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

While Ripple recently achieved a partial victory in its legal battle with the SEC, Bitcoin Dad argues that unresolved regulatory concerns still cast a shadow over the crypto asset.

He also questions its status as an unregistered security, citing Ripple’s role in the XRPL ecosystem. Nonetheless, it is important to note that the July 2023 summary judgment ruling that deemed XRP a non-security is not under contention, as the SEC’s appeal in the ongoing lawsuit does not argue against it.

Alleged Opposition to Bitcoin

Bitcoin Dad further accused Ripple of actively opposing Bitcoin. He highlighted a donation by Ripple Co-founder Chris Larsen to Greenpeace, which he says supported a campaign against Bitcoin’s energy consumption.

Accordingly, the Bitcoin proponent rejected the growing claims that Bitcoin mining harms the environment, instead arguing that mining can benefit energy grids. He believes this campaign was a deliberate attempt to undermine Bitcoin.

Political Advocacy

Lastly, Bitcoin Dad suggested that Ripple has used political influence to its advantage. He alleges that Ripple supports politicians who oppose Bitcoin and broader cryptocurrency adoption, citing Larsen’s donation to the Kamala Harris campaign last year.

It bears mentioning that despite this donation, Ripple CEO Garlinghouse was largely in support of a Trump presidency due to the regulatory challenges the firm faced under Biden. However, Bitcoin Dad claims the company only aims to foster favorable policies for XRP while limiting the growth of competing digital assets, particularly Bitcoin.

Here’s How Much Holdings 1K, 5K, or 10K Dogecoin Would Be Worth If DOGE Reaches $31.71

0

Here are the potential returns for holdings of 1,000, 5,000, and 10,000 Dogecoin should the price of DOGE rise to an ambitious target of $31.71.

Investors often rely on expert projections to fantasize about the potential returns they could achieve from investments in cryptos like Dogecoin.

Changelly Experts Predict Dogecoin to Hit $31 By 2040

It is noteworthy that Dogecoin has received several projections from top market observers. Specifically, Changelly analysts forecast that Dogecoin will hit an all-time high of $31.71 by April 2040, which they expect will be its maximum price target by then.

Dogecoin price prediction 2040

For Dogecoin to reach this target, its price must rise by 9,006% from its current value of $0.3482. At this price, Dogecoin’s market cap will increase from $51.47 billion to $4.68 trillion, assuming its circulating supply remains stable at 147.76 billion tokens.

Worth of 1K, 5K, and 10K DOGE at $31.71

Even though Dogecoin’s current price is far below the $31.71 target, we estimated the potential returns for holdings of 1,000, 5,000, and 10,000 DOGE if the asset reaches this ambitious milestone.

For context, to acquire 1,000 Dogecoin at the current price of $0.3482 will cost around $348.2. Similarly, a portfolio of 5,000 DOGE tokens currently costs about $1,741. Also, acquiring 10,000 DOGE tokens at the current price of $0.3482 requires an investment of $3,482.

If DOGE eventually hits the ambitious target of $31.71, these portfolios of 1,000, 5,000, and 10,000 DOGE tokens will be valued at $31,710, $158,550, and $317,100, respectively.

Can Dogecoin Reach $31.71?

As stated earlier, DOGE must stage a rally of 9,006% from its current price to reach the $31.71 target. It is worth mentioning that Dogecoin has experienced substantial rallies in its lifetime.

For instance, the asset surged astronomically by over 12,000% within the first five months of 2021. This saw DOGE set an all-time high record of $0.7376 on May 8, 2021. DOGE has yet to surpass the record ever since.

While DOGE continues to underperform and trade around the $0.3 territory, several market observers are confident that the asset might replicate its 2021 rally or surpass it in the current market cycle.

Widely-followed crypto expert CEO made this assertion in an X post on Christmas Day. According to the expert, Dogecoin will soon stage a massive rally that will outperform the one witnessed in 2021. The accompanying chart suggests that ‘CEO’ expects Dogecoin to hit a target of $30 in the future.

For Dogecoin to replicate its 2021 performance and hit an ambitious target of $31.71, the cryptocurrency will require the alignment of several factors. This includes creating new utilities and fostering positive technological advancements that can drive Dogecoin’s adoption.

Prominent figures like Elon Musk can also play crucial roles in boosting Dogecoin’s adoption, as seen in the 2020/2021 bull cycle. Musk’s constant support, especially now that Musk is heading a federal agency, could help attract more investors to Dogecoin.

This speculative analysis aims to demonstrate the potential returns for long-term holders. Hence, it is for informational purposes and should not be taken as investment advice.

How to Become a Billionaire with XRP: Finance Expert Issues a Satirical Guide

0

Finance expert Rajat Soni (CFA) has recently targeted XRP and presented a satirical “how-to” guide on getting rich using XRP.

Soni shared his views in a tweet that has sparked both amusement and outrage within the crypto community. His post highlights the tactics often used to manipulate markets and exploit inexperienced investors, with XRP as a reference point.

“How-to” Get Rich with XRP

According to Soni, the process of getting rich with XRP involves “creating a coin out of thin air” and building an independent firm to “take ownership” of the entire supply.

Notably, Soni is satirically referencing Ripple, the payment company closely associated with XRP, as the company controls approximately half of the cryptocurrency’s supply.

Soni’s hypothetical get-rich-quick scheme with XRP also involves aggressively marketing the created tokens and selling them to investors eager to get rich fast.

According to him, the key to success is creating a narrative that positions XRP as the next big thing while simultaneously encouraging supporters to attack detractors.

“Tell them XRP is going to $100K per coin and that Bitcoin uses 75,000 gallons of oil per transaction,” Soni quips. He seeks to suggest that the belief in XRP’s prospect is based more on manipulation than on real-world fundamentals

Through his satire, Soni aligns XRP with fraudulent projects and illustrates how some initiatives could hypothetically amass vast wealth at the expense of others.

“This is guaranteed to make you a billionaire because most people are clueless and will fall for whatever lies you tell them,” Soni remarked.

Soni’s Concerns with XRP

Soni’s ongoing critique touches on what he and other Bitcoin maximalists see as XRP’s major flaws: “centralization and control by a single entity.”

In recent days, Soni has launched an intense criticism campaign against XRP, calling the project a scam. Among his most recent remarks, Soni labeled XRP fraudulent and claimed that banks would never adopt it.

His primary argument is that XRP is not truly decentralized. He often cites that Ripple controls about 50% of its supply, which he argues exposes XRP to price manipulation.

In contrast, Soni has praised Bitcoin for its decentralization and broader adoption, asserting that Bitcoin’s future is more secure compared to XRP.

XRP Army’s Reactions

However, XRP supporters have become somewhat desensitized to Soni’s negative views. There has been a noticeable decline in efforts to directly counter his critiques, as many community members seem increasingly indifferent to his narrative.

In previous instances, critics like attorney Bill Morgan have called Soni’s posts the “most ill-informed thread ever” about XRP.

Crypto author Panos Mekras also criticized Soni for lacking basic research despite his finance background. Moreover, Mekras shared a 2018 thread to help educate him about XRP.

Hedera Price Prediction: Experts Predict $5 HBAR Price While PlutoChain Gains Whale Attention

0

Hedera Hashgraph (HBAR) is lighting up the scene and many wonder if it can potentially hit a $5 price target by 2025.

This bullish outlook is fueled by Hedera’s focus on enterprise-grade applications, ISO 20022 compliance, and increasing institutional adoption. The general sentiment is that its energy-efficient design and broad ecosystem expansion could position HBAR for monumental gains.

While Hedera garners attention, PlutoChain ($PLUTO) could become a game-changer for Bitcoin. This innovative hybrid Layer-2 solution has the potential to transform Bitcoin into a hub for DeFi and smart contracts.

With potentially unmatched speed and Ethereum compatibility, PlutoChain could redefine how developers and users interact with the Bitcoin network.

Hedera Hashgraph’s $5 Target. Is the Path Clear?

As of today, Hedera Hashgraph ($HBAR) is trading at approximately $0.34. To reach a $5 valuation, HBAR would need to experience a substantial increase, representing over a 15-fold rise from its current price.

Analysts like Crypto Kip predict HBAR could reach $5 by 2025, citing factors like its compliance with ISO 20022 standards, which make it particularly appealing to institutions and regulatory bodies.

However, other projections are more conservative. DigitalCoinPrice forecasts a maximum price of $0.80 for HBAR in 2025, while Stealthex anticipates a similar peak of $0.88 in the same year.

For HBAR to achieve a $5 valuation, its market capitalization would need to reach approximately $250 billion, assuming the current supply remains constant. This would require significant adoption of Hedera’s technology across various industries, substantial increases in transaction volume, and widespread integration of HBAR into financial systems.

While Hedera’s unique hashgraph consensus mechanism offers advantages in speed and security, the cryptocurrency market is highly competitive and volatile. Reaching a $5 price point by 2025 would necessitate not only favorable market conditions but also strategic partnerships, technological advancements, and broader market adoption.

Bitcoin’s Smart Contract Era Could Start With PlutoChain in the Spotlight

Bitcoin is evolving, and PlutoChain ($PLUTO) could be at the forefront of its transformation.

This groundbreaking hybrid Layer-2 solution could introduce the speed and functionality Bitcoin has long needed, offering an average block time of just 2 seconds – incomparably faster than Bitcoin’s 10-minute block time.

By leveraging smart contracts, PlutoChain may enable Bitcoin to host applications like DeFi, NFTs, and AI, potentially bridging the gap between Bitcoin’s security and the adaptability of blockchains like Ethereum and Solana.

PlutoChain’s compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) could create seamless migration pathways for Ethereum-based apps, forming a vital bridge between the two blockchain giants.

This unique feature may not only boost developer interest but also introduce Ethereum-like possibilities to Bitcoin. The platform’s scalability is already evident, handling 43,200 transactions daily on its testnet with low costs and rapid speeds.

Its governance system could empower users to shape the network’s future, offering a community-driven approach to development. Additionally, PlutoChain’s potential market impact might be vast. With Bitcoin DeFi’s Total Value Locked (TVL) at just 0.13% of Bitcoin’s market cap compared to Ethereum’s 10%, the expansion opportunities are enormous.

Add to this its robust security, validated by audits from SolidProof, QuillAudits, and Assure DeFi, and it’s clear why whales are starting to notice.

Final Words

Hedera Hashgraph’s enterprise focus and compliance with ISO 20022 could position it for substantial growth, though achieving a $5 target by 2025 remains ambitious. Significant adoption and favorable market dynamics will be crucial.

Meanwhile, PlutoChain could steal the attention with its transformative approach to Bitcoin. Its hybrid Layer-2 solution could bridge Bitcoin and Ethereum, offering 2-second block time, Ethereum compatibility, and scalability proven by 43,200 daily testnet transactions.

With unmatched innovation, PlutoChain could become a pioneer in Bitcoin-based DeFi and smart contracts, drawing whales and potentially reshaping the future of blockchain applications.

Bitcoin Analyst Projects 2,276% Shiba Inu Surge to $0.0004729, Says Technical Outlook is Positive

0

A top Bitcoin analyst has predicted a potential 2,276% surge for Shiba Inu based on a positive technical outlook.

Shiba Inu has been one of the most painful crypto assets to hold recently. Its price has dipped by 3% today, breaching below the psychological $0.00002 level. This latest dip worsens its weekly performance, now at a 12% dip. Moreover, looking at a two-month time frame, SHIB is down by over 20%.

While this performance has hurt holders, some analysts have found reasons to believe a turnaround is imminent. Bitcoin analyst Crypto ELITES recently shared optimistic targets for Shiba Inu in a post on X. He highlighted that Shiba Inu’s technicals look promising.

According to the chart shared by the analyst, SHIB is poised to achieve substantial gains, supported by a classic cup-and-handle pattern, a bullish formation.

Image
Shiba Inu promising technical chart

Three Shiba Inu Targets to Watch for 22X Upside

The analysis lays out three ambitious price targets for SHIB, starting at $0.000085171. Notably, this target aligns with Shiba Inu’s all-time high and the Fibonacci level 1.00.

Meanwhile, Shiba Inu’s journey to this lofty height requires it to overcome short-term resistance at $0.00002266, $0.00003118, and $0.0000491.

These price points have proven to be strong resistance zones for Shiba Inu in the past few weeks. For instance, Shiba Inu briefly entered the $0.00003 level eight weeks ago but could not defend the threshold.

Meanwhile, Crypto ELITES believes a stronger wave to overcome this barrier is in the works. He noted that after Shiba Inu shatters its 2021 all-time high, it would progress into uncharted territory, trading with just three leading zeros.

In particular, he expects SHIB to progress to $0.000183312. From Shiba Inu’s present value of $0.0000199, this would mean a gain of 821% or an 8X upside for current holders.

However, Crypto ELITES has projected even loftier values for Shiba Inu. Specifically, he argued that Shiba Inu could ultimately reach $0.000472905. The analyst believes the SHIB bull run for this cycle would lose its momentum at this price point.

For context, if these levels are met, SHIB could deliver an impressive 23X return or 2,276% gain from its current price.

Shiba Inu Ready to Take Stage with Bitcoin Dominance Drop

The key to this potential surge lies in Bitcoin’s decreasing dominance, a scenario that often shifts market focus to altcoins.

As Bitcoin consolidates, Crypto ELITES remarked that Shiba Inu appears ready to “take the stage.”

Views of Other Analysts on SHIB’s Potential

Meanwhile, Crypto ELITES is not alone in issuing this bold forecast for Shiba Inu. An earlier analysis published by The Crypto Basic highlighted an analyst’s prediction of Shiba Inu potentially rallying 543% to a new all-time high at $0.0001397.

The analyst argued the journey to a new all-time high will particularly gain momentum when Shiba Inu reclaims $0.000032 and $0.00007056.

Here’s How High XRP Must Rise to Eliminate US National Debt, If XRP Becomes US Strategic Reserve

0

Amid growing discussions, XRP would need to rise by a substantial rate to help eliminate the U.S. national debt if it ever becomes a part of the U.S. strategic reserve.

President Donald Trump recently signed an executive order for the creation of a Presidential Working Group to oversee matters surrounding digital assets in the United States. Interestingly, one of the mandates of this group is to explore the feasibility of a “digital asset stockpile.”

XRP Reserve Discussions Emerge

This terminology has triggered speculation that such a stockpile would include other crypto assets in addition to Bitcoin. Notably, with previous reports suggesting the Trump administration could prioritize “Made in America” tokens, assets like XRP and Solana have been the primary subjects.

However, should the Presidential Working Group adopt XRP as part of the reserve, discussions around its potential to help offset the U.S. national debt have emerged. Recall that, on the campaign trail, President Trump discussed the possibility of addressing the U.S. debt problem as part of the reasons behind his advocacy for a strategic Bitcoin reserve.

This begs the question: how possible is it for XRP to help in addressing the issue if it assumes this position? Notably, some XRP community figures have pointed to the Ripple escrow as one of the avenues through which the Trump administration could procure XRP tokens.

How High XRP Must Rise to Settle the National Debt

For context, Ripple currently holds 37.7 billion XRP in escrow, representing 37.7% of the total XRP supply. Some individuals have even suggested that the payment firm donate this holding to the U.S. government to facilitate the establishment of a strategic XRP reserve, but this remains speculative at press time.

However, supposing this suggestion is taken seriously, the government would have an avenue to establish the XRP reserve at zero cost. If this occurs, the Trump administration would hold $120 billion worth of XRP, considering XRP’s current price of around $3.2.

This $120 billion bag is still significantly lower than the U.S. national debt of approximately $36.4 trillion. Nonetheless, for these 37.7 billion XRP tokens to have a chance at offsetting the debt, XRP must grow exponentially. Specifically, XRP would need to rise to a price of $965.5 for the 37.7 billion tokens to hit a worth of $36.4 trillion.

With XRP currently changing hands at $3.2, a rally to $965.5 would demand an uptick of 30,071%. Notably, while this growth appears unfeasible, XRP could hypothetically attain it if it maintains sustained annual upticks. For context, XRP would need a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 316% over the four years of Trump’s presidency to attain this mark.

CoinShares Joins XRP ETF Race, Submits Filing With SEC

0

Leading digital asset manager CoinShares applies with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to launch XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF).

CoinShares submitted the application yesterday in a bid to provide investors with a cost-effective way to invest in XRP.

Details of the Filing

Dubbed the CoinShares XRP ETF, the fund aims to track XRP’s performance, as reflected by the Compass Crypto Reference Index XRP. This index represents the value of XRP at 4 PM (NY Time).

Per the filing, CoinShares serves as the official sponsor of the XRP ETF, while CSC Delaware Trust Company is assigned as the fund’s trustee. Currently, CoinShares has not disclosed the administrator, transfer and marketing agents, and custodian of the ETF.

If the SEC approves CoinShares’ application, shares of the XRP ETF will trade on Nasdaq under an undisclosed ticker. The filing indicates that CoinShares’ XRP ETF shares will be issued in blocks of 5,000 and can be purchased by only authorized participants.

According to the filing, an unnamed seed capital investor, an affiliate of CoinShares, initiated the fund following its initial purchase of an undisclosed amount of shares.

Notably, CoinShares redeemed the seed shares for cash. The filing also highlighted the risk of investing in the upcoming XRP ETF, noting that investors could lose all their money.

Multiple XRP ETF Applications

It bears mentioning that several asset managers are seeking to launch spot-based ETFs linked to XRP.

Seven applications have been submitted to the SEC for ETFs exclusively tied to XRP. The prospective issuers include Bitwise, Canary Capital, WisdomTree, 21Shares, Rex Osprey, ProShares, and CoinShares.

Besides these single-asset proposals, Bitwise and Grayscale are also seeking to launch basket ETFs featuring multiple crypto assets, including XRP. So far, the SEC has not acknowledged any of the XRP-specific ETF applications. However, the commission has acknowledged the two basket ETFs that include XRP and other crypto assets.

XRP Holders Optimistic About SEC Approval

Despite this, XRP proponents have remained optimistic that the SEC will approve at least one XRP-specific ETF before the end of 2025. This speculation gained momentum following Donald Trump’s inauguration as president of a pro-crypto administration.

Notably, the 47th U.S. President has also nominated other pro-crypto advocates into top positions, including Paul Atkins as the next chairman of the SEC.

Atkins is expected to contribute significantly to providing clear and fair regulation for the crypto industry. Some investors also speculate that his leadership could resolve most of the enforcement actions against crypto businesses, including the Ripple lawsuit.

This case is currently under appeal in the Second Circuit. While the SEC filed its opening appeal brief on January 15, Ripple requested a deadline of April 16, 2025, for the filing of its cross-appeal brief.

A potential resolution of the lawsuit through a settlement or favorable court ruling could pave the way for the launch of XRP ETFs.
