Elon Musk justifying dogecoin as a better payment seems true if whales can transfer billions of dollars for just cents.



According to Doge blockchain explorer, the Dogecoin whale transferred almost $1 Billion worth of DOGE in two different wallets in a single transaction.

The first wallet received 80 million Doge worth $13.78 million, The second portfolio received 5.3 billion doge coins worth $913.09 million.

For such a massive transaction, the whale only paid 4.49 doge worth $0.76 as a transaction fee.

The whale’s movements come after Tesla CEO Elon Musk claimed DOGE could work as a better payment method than Bitcoin. Musk made those comments in his TIMES interview where he was named Time Magazine’s Man of the year.

“Bitcoin is not a good substitute for transactional currency. Even though Doge was created as a  joke, Dogecoin is better suited for transactions. The total transaction flow that you do with Dogecoin, like transactions per day, has a much higher potential than Bitcoin.”
