Scammers are always ready to fake anything that gets community attention.
Scammers are not relenting in their quest to steal from unsuspecting victims. A Redditor with the username u/crackforchildren has drawn the public’s attention to different fake websites that are impersonating Cardano-based SundaeSwap decentralized exchange.
According to the Redditor, while he was trying to access the SundaeSwap exchange, he searched “SundaeSwap” using Google search engine.
However, the first two results that came up were links to two malicious websites, https://sundae-swop.com and https://sundae-swep.com, that are impersonating the actual SundaeSwap exchange.
These malicious websites are designed to steal funds from unsuspecting victims when connecting their wallets.
Unfortunately, most Cardano users who do not have a direct link to the first decentralized exchange may be tricked into believing that the links are legit and may proceed to invest their funds on the platform, which would definitely result in a loss.
It is worth noting that the correct link to the website is https://sundaeswap.finance
Recall that SundaeSwap was the first decentralized exchange launched on Cardano, following the support of smart contract functionality.
Since it launched last month, it has recorded an increased user activity in the previous month, as a recent report suggested that SundaeSwap has hit $116.04 million in total value locked (TVL).
Also, Cardano Total Value Locked (TVL) Surges Nearly 6,000% in 1 Month.
