Popular software and media company Bloomberg has announced that it has expanded its cryptocurrency data coverage to include Shiba Inu (SHIB) and the top 49-largest digital currencies by market capitalization.

The company noted in a press release today that investors in the top 50 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Shiba Inu, Dogecoin (DOGE), Polkadot (DOT), Ripple (XRP), and Cardano (ADA), among others, can now monitor the intraday trading prices of the crypto assets directly from Bloomberg website.

Bloomberg Provides Market Data for Top Cryptos

It is worth noting that Bloomberg has been providing useful crypto data via a designated terminal since 2013. Although at the time Bloomberg launched the service, it initially tracked the data of the world’s largest cryptocurrency– Bitcoin.

The company subsequently bolstered its data tracking service to include the top 10 cryptocurrencies in 2018, and now the media company wants to track the intraday pricing of the top 50 crypto assets.

Per Bloomberg, the move to increase the number of cryptocurrencies that will be tracked came as a result of the massive interest in the asset class in recent times as a result today Bloomberg adds additional 40 top cryptos to take the number to 50.

Commenting on the development, Alex Wenham, product manager for cryptocurrencies at Bloomberg, said:

“Our mission is to help the global institutional investor community to seamlessly incorporate digital assets into their workflows in a trusted and familiar way, on the Bloomberg Terminal.”

Wenham added that Bloomberg will continue to add support for other crypto assets as the market evolves.

Meanwhile, using the service to monitor intraday cryptocurrency prices is simple. Users are required to visit the Bloomberg website and click on CRYP to begin monitoring the prices of any cryptocurrency in the top 50 rankings.
