Italy-based SHIB-themed burger joint Welly surprised the community by revealing its partnership with a World-Renowned American Chef based in New York City. The partnership was announced during the “Surprise Twitter Space Event” for Welly’s NFT launch hosted by Welly’s team. After the event, the announcement was made public by the team via tweet.

Flynn McGarry is one of the youngest restaurant owners in New York City. He belongs to Los Angeles (CA) and is well renowned as “Justin Bieber” of the food.

Being obsessed with food, ingredients, experimenting, and pushing flavor, he started working in restaurants when he was only twelve years old. He has done his cooking internship at Eleven Madison Park, Alinea, Next, Geranium, and Maaemo. Later, he opened his first successful restaurant “Gem” and “Gem Wine” in New York City at age 19. He also has appeared on a couple of different Cooking TV shows.

On March 28, 2014, New York Times featured him as “The Chef at 15”. In the same year, he was also featured as “The 25 Most Influential Teens of 2014” by TIMES.

The announcement comes after John Richmond, an official partner of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, shared an image of a new design featuring the SHIB mascot, which is expected to be used on the Shiba Inu John Richmond clothing.

Besides this, during the event, the Shiba Inu Community was also given an update about where Welly as a business stands and some details on the minting of NFT that will happen over several days.

Welly’s Franchise Update:

One of the Welly founding team members, Koalop, confirms that they have received over 300 franchise applications and continue receiving more franchising requests daily. The team has reached out to several applicants and has conducted several interviews. However, the burger joint hasn’t signed any contract yet.

He further revealed that at the moment, the team is in negotiation with three to four of the franchise applicants.

Among these four applicants, the company is almost near to signing a contract with two. He also confirms that the fast-food company’s second team, dedicated to evaluating the applications for flagship stores, is also close to getting the first deal to open the first big flagship store in a Capital city. However, he refused to disclose further details at the moment.

Moreover, he said the business plans to open its first franchise in 2023.
