Shiba Inu to Launch a Brand New ShibaSwap Reward Token “TREAT” To Replace “BONE” as Community Voted In Favor to Halt The Minting of BONE at 230 Million in the Latest Community Proposal.
Shiba Inu plans to launch a brand-new reward token, “TREAT” and is set to replace BONE as ShibaSwap Rewards.
The lead developer of the Shiba Inu, Shytoshi Kusama has recently released a new medium post as he had “a lot to say” to Shiba Inu Community. In the post, he covered the progress details of all the projects in the Shiba Inu ecosystem including SHIBARIUM-Layer-2 Solution, SHI, the stablecoin, Metaverse, and much more anticipated Shiba Collectible Card Game.
In addition, he also revealed the launch of a brand new reward token, “TREAT” as part of the Shiba Inu ecosystem development.
According to the medium blog post, Bone Shibaswap (BONE) will be replaced with a TREAT token and is destined to act as a ShibaSwap reward token.
The maximum supply of BONE is capped at 250 million. Recently Community proposes to halt the minting of BONE at 230 million and reserved the remaining 20 million BONE for validators and processes within Shibarium, then “What will be available for rewards for everyone else?” He replied to this question: “For this we have Treat.”
He further said that the brand new reward token will “not only serve this purpose, but will derive rewards for the Metaverse, and the blockchain version of the Shiba Collectible Card Game, as well as for helping to provide balance to SHI.”
Shytoshi calls the development of the TREAT token “a huge step” towards decentralization. He assured the community that the tokenomics of TREAT will not disappoint Shiba Inu holders. However, a limited supply of TREAT will be reserved for the most loyal Breed members that have been loyal to the Shiba Inu ecosystem and placed their efforts into building confidence in the project by protecting and growing the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
On the development of the TREAT token, the lead developer of SHIB mentioned that the development of the TREAT token is quietly been done as the development team “doesn’t want to rush another token into the ecosystem” and “its use case must be well defined and outlined.”
