Hoskinson believes there is unnecessary antagonism in the crypto space.

In a nine-tweet thread today, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson asserted and decried harsh views of the Cardano network held by many in the Ethereum community.

“There is this bizarre parallel world where everything Cardano has done is a useless scam that couldn’t possibly be innovative,” Hoskinson tweeted. “Rather we are a cult beholden to an evil, sociopathic, but incompetent pathological lying founder who somehow has stumbled upon stolen success, but will be in jail any moment now when the world wakes up. It would be offensive if it wasn’t so batshit crazy.”

According to Hoskinson, it is only fair and healthy for networks to interrogate the differences in protocol design. However, he asserts that core Ethereum developers have made a point of ignoring Cardano or refusing to speak about it objectively.

Decrying what he believes to be unnecessary tension and competition in the crypto space, the Cardano founder again asserted that Cardano would change the world.

“… But I believe none of that will matter in the end because we are going to change the world.”

According to Hoskinson, the network has the potential to attract billions of users without needing to convert Bitcoin or Ethereum maximalists.

“The reality is that Cardano doesn’t need cryptocurrency to be successful in order to succeed. Mass adoption hasn’t happened yet, and we can grow to billions, Of users without poaching a single one from Bitcoin or Ethereum.”

He further said that the crypto community behaves in a way that Cardano do not deserve.

“I’m sorry that our industry behaves this way sometimes; our community doesn’t deserve it.”

Unsurprisingly, Hoskinson’s views received much support from the Cardano community. However, Ethereum believers like Anthony Sassano, the founder of The Daily Gwei and co-founder of EthHub, derided Hoskinson, implying that the Cardano founder is desperate for Vitalik Buterin’s attention.

It bears mentioning that the Cardano network on Thursday successfully executed its most significant upgrade yet, the Vasil hard fork, about a week after Ethereum carried out The Merge. Notably, Hoskinson, in today’s thread, asserts that the network will make significant upgrades to governance and user experience next year.

“Next year, we’ll make our largest contributions to governance and user experience. We’ll do that together,” the Cardano founder wrote.

In the days following The Merge, Hoskinson has engaged in relentless critism of the Ethereum proof-of-stake (PoS) model, calling the network the “Hotel California of crypto.”
