One of the admins of the Shibarium Telegram group has teased that major announcements are coming this month.
An official Shibarium Telegram group admin said major announcements are coming this month for Shibarium, Shiba Inu’s layer-2 scaling solution.
The admin, who uses the pseudonym “Someone Smart (Maybe)”, made this known in the official Shibarium Telegram group over the weekend.
According to excerpts from the discussion, a member of the Telegram group, “Dinesh”, first inquired whether the community should expect “any good news” from the team behind the L2 blockchain.
Responding to this inquiry, Someone Smart (Maybe) replied, “very, very soon,” suggesting that the team is close to announcing good news for the Shiba Inu’s layer-2 scaling solution.
Furthermore, Someone Smart also noted that the good news for Shibarium will be coming in May.
When asked to shed more light on the upcoming announcements, the admin of the Shibarium Telegram group only said multiple exciting announcements would be made for the Shiba Inu’s L2 network this month.
However, he refused to say beyond that while asking Shibarium community members to wait for official announcements from the team.
As expected, Shiba Inu community members are eager to know more about the upcoming good news for Shibarium.
Shiba Inu Lead Working on the Impossible
In recent times, Shibarium team members have been using cryptic messages to communicate their plans for the layer-2 scaling solution.
As reported by The Crypto Basic last month, a member of the Shibarium Telegram group asked Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama to excite the community “once in a while” with some good news regarding the L2 network. In response to this request, Kusama disclosed that he has been working silently with an incredible team and trying to achieve “the impossible.”
Although Kusama did not share further hints about the impossible task the team is working on, many speculated that the Shiba Inu lead could be referring to the mainnet version of Shibarium.
Shibarium mainnet is expected to roll out before the end of the year. However, the team has not disclosed any official date. Puppynet, the beta version of Shibarium, is still live, and the project has continued to receive widespread adoption.
At press time, Puppyscan, the official explorer of Puppynet, is down. Meanwhile, Shibarium Beta has previously achieved tremendous feats over the past few weeks. Notably, over 14.06 million addresses have been connected to the network. Additionally, the transaction count has surpassed 4.6 million.
