Shiba Inu’s pseudonymous developer Shytoshi Kusama has shared an important update with the community.
According to chats from the official Shibarium Telegram group “Shibarium Tech,” Kusama disclosed that he has been working with other members of the Shiba Inu team to “do the impossible.” The update was shared today by prominent Shiba Inu influencer Kuro Shibarmy.
>get us excited once in a while boss 🙂

Kusama made this known after absenting himself from chatting in the Shibarium Telegram group for a few days. His absence from the group seemed shocking to many who know the Shiba Inu lead developer as someone who likes interacting with the community.
Some community members showed concern about Kusama’s whereabouts, asking him where he had been in the past few days. Responding to the question, Kusama said he is currently where the community needs him.
SHIB Enthusiasts Think It’s Shibarium
Notably, the outspoken SHIB developer did not share further hints to give the community members an idea of what the team is currently working on. Interestingly, Shiba Inu enthusiasts seemed excited about Kusama’s recent Telegram message.
In the meantime, some SHIB enthusiasts in the Telegram group believe that Kusama and other Shiba Inu developers are working on the mainnet version of Shibarium.
Kusama is fond of expressing himself using cryptic messages, especially when referring to his work on the layer-2 network. Recall that the Shibarium testnet, Puppynet, made its debut shortly after Kusama changed his Twitter bio.
Meanwhile, Puppynet has been making significant progress since it went live last month. According to data from Puppyscan, more than 14.06 million addresses have been connected to the network. The total transaction count currently stands at 4.64 million. On April 11, a total of 891,165 transactions were recorded on Puppynet.
Following the massive adoption of Shibarium Beta, Bone ShibaSwap (BONE), the native gas token of the L2 network, has recently attracted the attention of top cryptocurrency exchanges.
BONE has been listed on top cryptocurrency exchanges, such as Swapika, CetoEX, OkX, etc., in the past 30 days.
