Top XRP community members have called out popular video-sharing platform YouTube for shutting down an XRP-related channel.
Yesterday, a popular XRP YouTuber, JamesRuleXRP, notified the community that YouTube had terminated his channel on the video-sharing platform. According to a screenshot, the team behind YouTube alleged that the account was deleted due to copyright infringement.
However, the owner of the channel claimed he strictly follows YouTube’s guidelines and policies while publishing videos on the platform. Furthermore, the YouTuber claims he shares the revenue on his channel whenever he uses any copyrighted song.
Although he has appealed the strike, the YouTuber seems curious to know who reported his account.
I want to know who in the hell turned me in on @TeamYouTube @YouTube @YouTubeCreators for copyright infringement. My YouTube Channel has been deleted until further notice. I have appealed and I am waiting for an answer.
I am very cautious when presenting material and videos on…

An Attack on XRP Community?
As expected, the development has stirred mixed reactions among XRP supporters. Many people believe YouTube’s decision to delete the account could be an attack against the XRP community.
Commenting on the development, Ashley Prosper, who alleged that J.P. Morgan Chase instigated the SEC vs. Ripple lawsuit, noted that the JamesRuleXRP account is the fourth XRP-related channel YouTube has taken down in recent times.
“Dear @YouTubeLegal. This is the 4th [fourth] account associated with the #XRPCommunity that has been targeted, and this is the 4th [fourth] time you have been slow to act,” said Prosper.
The popular XRP enthusiast informed YouTube that its failure to act swiftly and promptly could be seen as a breach of data protection law. He further urged the team behind YouTube to reinstate the channel immediately.

In addition, Digital Asset Investor, a YouTube channel focused on sharing XRP content, slammed YouTube for shutting down JamesRuleXRP’s account.
Digital Asset Investor said it is unfair of YouTube to shut down JamesRuleXRP’s channel without citing any reason explaining what led to the decision.
This is unacceptable @YouTube@YouTubeCreators This man has been honestly building his Youtube presence for years and then you just shut him down with no real explanation. How can you expect anyone to trust your platform when you are this personally detached with your customers.… https://t.co/cHPVpbfHt6

Some XRP Community Members Accuse Ben Armstrong
Aside from Prosper and Digital Asset Investor, other XRP community members also reacted to the development. Interestingly, some XRP holders allege that popular YouTuber Ben Armstrong (BitBoy Crypto) could be responsible for the account’s suspension.
