Amid the rising interest in crypto assets following Ripple’s victory over the SEC, a top expert has submitted ten reasons investors should consider adding Cardano (ADA) to their portfolio.

Pieter Nierop, an associate of the Cardano Fans staking pool, took to Twitter today to explain why ADA should be embraced by every crypto investor. His highly informative thread seeks to draw more investors to Cardano as he projects ADA as a profitable asset.

Cardano’s Strong Fundamentals

1: Nierop noted that Cardano, founded by Charles Hoskinson in 2017, is a third-generation blockchain, citing that it is designed to be more sustainable, scalable, and interoperable compared to the Bitcoin and Ethereum blockchains

2: He stressed that the proof-of-stake network is the first blockchain built through evidence-based methods and peer-reviewed research. Notably, the project’s development team comprises longstanding blockchain-related academics and engineers.

3: He touted Cardano’s less energy-intensive, secure, and highly scalable consensus algorithm dubbed Ouroboros.

4: Cardano blockchain is among the few that enables developers to create decentralized applications as it has smart contracts functionalities.

5: Community is the bedrock of every successful crypto project, Nierop stated, pointing out that Cardano has a large community of active members.

6: With over 63% of ADA’s supply staked across thousands of stake pools, Nierop numbered Cardano among the world’s most decentralized ecosystems.

7: To further highlight the strengths of ADA, he revealed that Cardano’s use cases transcend various sectors in the real world.

8: Cardano has partnered with the Ethiopian government to use its technology in the education sector—one of the few blockchains that have directly partnered with any county government.

9: Another key feature cited by Nierop that makes ADA a good investment option is the environmental-friendliness of the blockchain, as it does not support mining.

10: With the rising SEC attacks on several crypto assets, he implied that investing in regulatory-compliant crypto assets is important. He added, “Cardano is designed to allow for soft forks and upgrades, making it adaptable to changing regulatory environments.”

Despite noting that “Cardano’s strong fundamentals and potential for growth could lead to high returns for investors,” Nierop urged market participants to conduct proper research before investing in ADA. As reported earlier, ADA was among the few assets that posted double-digit gains after Ripple’s partial win over the U.S. SEC.
