Pro-XRP lawyer John Deaton has finally released the highly anticipated “big announcement.”

Attorney John Deaton, a crypto-focused lawyer and managing partner at Deaton Law Firm, has finally released the highly anticipated “big announcement.” The development comes less than 48 hours after Deaton shared three hints on what the announcement could be about.

Interestingly, Attorney Deaton kept to his word by releasing three major announcements to his nearly 300K followers.

First Announcement

During a live video yesterday, Attorney Deaton disclosed that Steven Nerayoff, an early advisor to the Ethereum network, would come to Crypto-Law TV as a guest.

Recall that Nerayoff recently stirred a major debate on the X platform regarding Ethereum’s ICO. He claimed that federal authorities fabricated a case against him due to his knowledge of Ethereum, alleging that top individuals at the SEC, FBI, Department of Justice, and Ripple were involved in the plot.

However, the authorities later dropped the case against Nerayoff earlier this year. Interestingly, Deaton said in the live video that Nerayoff will be coming to CryptoLaw to reveal the truth about what led to his indictment.

Deaton Joins Spend The Bits

For the second announcement, Deaton said he is joining Spend The Bits, a crypto payment solution powered by the XRP Ledger (XRPL).

Deaton, who wore a Spend The Bits T-shirt in the video, said he had rejected several past offers from multiple crypto projects. However, he became interested in Spend the Bits due to the developmental efforts of the team.

Notably, after a series of discussions with Spend The Bits, Deaton says he is now part of the company as both an investor and chief legal officer (CLO).

Deaton Launches a New Book

Lastly, Attorney Deaton announced the launch of his book titled “Food Stamp Warrior.” Deaton revealed that he has been working on the book since March 2020, a few months before the SEC charged Ripple with offering and selling XRP as an unregistered security.

According to Deaton, the book covered various societal issues, including race and addiction.

“While I was writing this book, I debated many times whether to publish it. If you read it, you will truly understand why I debated and why it was such an internal struggle,” he said.
