Shytoshi Kusama, the leading figure behind Shiba Inu, has admitted the project’s Shibarium network project is just getting started.
As a period of generally crypto bearish sentiment begins to wear out, Shytoshi Kusama, the leader of the Shiba Inu project, has been more vocal within the community. In his latest update, the enigmatic project lead applauded an effort by the Shiba Inu community to work together without his input.
Shytoshi was referring to a landmark X Space being organized by a community of projects and partners building on Shiba Inu’s layer-2 solution, Shibarium. Noteworthily, the event is being hosted by Koyo Token, a Shiba Inu collective that has shown unwavering commitment to Shibarium and advancing the interests of the SHIB ecosystem.
The Spaces event dubbed “The Great Shibarium Space” will take place on October 26th and will see major Shiba Inu community members discuss measures to drive Shibarium forward. Evidently, an endorsement from Shytoshi Kusama would boost public perception of the community-led effort and encourage more participation. It is unclear, however, whether the SHIB leader would join the event, even though such a possibility cannot be ruled out given his endorsement.
Shibarium “Truly Just Getting Started”
In an apparent allusion to the Shibarium network and its community, Shytoshi Kusama noted, “The best part is… we are TRULY just getting started.” Indeed, Shiba Inu’s layer-2 solution is barely three months old, launching in August.
But the best part is… we are TRULY just getting started.

Yet, Shibarium has already gained momentum with new exchange integrations and the listing of Shibarium-native projects on prominent crypto exchanges. Such milestones have also been sandwiched by a flurry of community-led initiatives to build applications on Shibarium and deliver value to ecosystem projects.
Earlier this week, The Crypto Basic reported that Shiba Inu’s official partner, BAD Idea AI, launched a new program exclusively for projects built on Shibarium or planning to launch on the network. The program will see BAD Idea AI train its AI chatbot to understand key technical features offered by the projects. Thus, users can leverage the bot to get reliable answers about the projects while interacting within their social media communities.
As reported by The Crypto Basic yesterday, Shytoshi Kusama hinted at exciting new developments in the pipeline for Shiba Inu. The lead developer of Shiba Inu also addressed concerns related to Shibarium’s Total Value Locked (TVL), shedding light on the project’s progress and improvements. The lead developer of Shiba Inu examined the challenges of providing precise timelines for the project’s ongoing initiatives, highlighting the complexities of their development.
