Here Are Top 5 Shiba Inu Holders Other Than Exchanges and Burn Address

The top five Shiba Inu (SHIB) holders, excluding exchanges and the famous dead wallet, control around 7% of the cryptocurrency’s total supply.

With over 1.36 million holders, SHIB is one of the most widely held cryptocurrencies. Yet a significant percentage of the token is held by a few addresses, with the top hundred holders controlling around 79% of the total supply.

However, this article focuses on the top five holders, excluding exchanges and the token’s burn wallet, which holds over 41% of the total supply. Filtering these options reveals that Shiba Inu’s total supply may not be as concentrated as it seems.

For instance, the top five addresses, minus exchanges and the dead wallet, control only around 7% of the total supply, a decent figure when compared to other cryptocurrencies. Let’s take a closer to the top five SHIB holders.

The Top Five Addresses Holding SHIB

The largest individual SHIB holder is an address with the 0xf3B007 initials. At the time of writing, this address holds around 42.6 trillion SHIB (approximately $426 million) or roughly 4.26% of the token’s supply.

Although on-chain data does not reveal the person behind the wallet, its owner appears linked to Crypto.com, as the address holds over $445 million worth of Cronos Coin at the time of writing.

Interestingly, the address also holds a large number of other meme coins, including Dogeelon (ELON), Pepe (PEPE), and Floki (FLOKI).

Coming in second place is a contract address with the 0x4221 initials. The contract holds around 1.36% of the total SHIB supply, or 1.36 trillion SHIB ($136 million). This contract is speculated to be controlled by the on-chain trader as they occasionally receive and transfer SHIB, perhaps to boost their holdings.

Completing the top five are three individual addresses that hold 1% of the SHIB supply, respectively. The address with the initials 0xF28d2 received a significant amount of its SHIB holdings in November 2021, less than a week after SHIB reached its all-time high of $0.00008845 in late October that year.

The fourth largest individual SHIB holder (0x99c1) also received their holdings a few days after SHIB hit its all-time high.

The address received around 1 trillion SHIB tokens on November 2, 2021. The assets are worth $108 million at today’s prices. Notably, if the transaction represented a new purchase, then the holder may be sitting in significant losses, having put in around $800 million in November 2021.

Completing the top five is yet another address that received its SHIB holding near the cryptocurrency’s all-time high. The address, which has the initials 0x3198, received 1% of Shiba Inu’s maximum supply on November 2, 2021, and has since held onto the assets.

Meanwhile, a common theme across SHIB’s largest individual holding addresses is long-term intent. The addresses have held on through one of the cryptocurrency market’s bear markets, evidently betting on the SHIB price bouncing back in the future.

At the time of writing, SHIB is trading at $0.00001084. The latest price means the asset has now closed above the $0.000010 mark for ten consecutive days, its longest stint above that price level in several weeks.
