The sender first highlighted the recipient’s awareness that some of the most influential investors in Ethereum (ETH) hold SHIB tokens in their portfolios.

Then, the SHIB enthusiast proceeded to point out their new fun fact. Its discovery was that Shiba Inu is one of the crypto tokens with the most extensive list of holders.

Taking to X, the Shiba Inu team remarked, “How should we reply,” curiously seeking community members’ input.

Shiba Inu Army Reacts

Shiba Inu’s inquiry generated substantial engagement from the community. Some members endorsed the post through likes, while others shared their perspectives on the presented “fun fact.”

An X user remarked that Shiba Inu had garnered significant attention to the extent that even critics held SHIB tokens in a million units.

Meanwhile, another user, “I’m Ola Of Enugu,” proposed that Shiba Inu attracted attention due to its meme-inspired nature. “Who controls the meme controls the world,” they submitted.

However, not all community members responded positively to the “fun fact.” Some questioned the accuracy of the claim and requested a source for the statistics.

One individual even shared a screenshot indicating that the meme coin Baby Doge Coin boasts more holder addresses than Shiba Inu.

Shiba Inu Holders

Ethereum whales love to hold and trade Shiba Inu. As of June 2023, the top 100 Ethereum whales held over 49 trillion SHIB in their wallets.

According to data from Etherscan, wallets holding Shiba Inu tokens are 1,375,928. Interestingly, The Crypto Basic has recently uncovered that the figure surpassed the population of 105 cities in the U.S.

Notably, more crypto enthusiasts hold SHIB compared to Chainlink (LINK), which has approximately 711.3k non-zero wallet addresses.

While Shiba Inu boasts a holder base of millions, it is still far behind the holder base for other top-ranking projects such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano, and XRP.
