Following the conclusion of the IVS Crypto event in Kyoto, Shiba Inu’s lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama, flags off a global tour, revealing the cryptocurrency’s forward marching orders.
According to Kusama, the Shiba Inu ecosystem team will embark on a global tour to physically engage SHIB enthusiasts and other ‘crypto curious.’

Shiba Inu Global Tour
Dubbed the “Treat Yourself” tour, the exercise will see Kusama and other Shiba Inu ecosystem members travel to different countries to speak with members of the Shiba Inu community. This would help strengthen the bond between the community and the ecosystem team.
According to Kusama, the global tour officially commenced last week in Kyoto, Japan, where he and the team attended the IVS Crypto event. Kusama attended the event in a mask costume and interacted with crypto enthusiasts.
Notably, Kusama also met with other prominent figures, including a Japanese politician, Ippei Kumagai.
Next Stop is Mumbai
Following the success of the Kyoto trip, Kusama revealed that the next stop in the “Treat Yourself” tour is Mumbai, a major city in India.

He disclosed plans to visit India today for some important meetings. The Shiba Inu lead developer referred to India as his second home, expressing excitement about his return to the country.

Blockchain Futuristic Conference
After the India trip, the Shiba Inu ecosystem team will travel to Canada for the highly anticipated Blockchain Futuristic Conference (BFC), scheduled to be held in Toronto on August 13 -14.
Notably, Shiba Inu is a title sponsor of the conference. Like the recently concluded IVS Crypto event in Kyoto, Shiba Inu will have a dedicated booth where it will showcase its projects. Notably, one of Shiba Inu’s partners, K9 Finance, will host a hackathon at the event.
Shiba Inu to Launch Its Conference
Furthermore, Kusama disclosed that the team would make its final stop for the year in Bangkok, Thailand. During the visit, they will introduce Shiba Inu’s conference, dubbed “SHIBACON.”
The Shiba Inu lead developer revealed that SHIBACON 2024 will coincide with this year’s edition of DevCon, slated to be held on November 6 – 7. While DevCon will be held in Bucharest, Romania, the inaugural SHIBACON event will take place in Bangkok.
The upcoming SHIBACON 2024 event will create a platform for Shiba Inu community members and other top industry stakeholders to gather and network.
Kusama promised that the event would differ from other crypto-related conferences, suggesting unique discussions, presentations, and networking at SHIBACON 2024.
He hinted at an upcoming opportunity that would enable potential speakers and sponsors to participate in the conference. Meanwhile, the Shiba Inu lead developer promised to disclose more information about the event soon,
