Latest OKX Proof of Reserves Shows Exchange XRP Balance Up 33% YTD

The latest OKX Proof of Reserves (PoR) report shows the exchange currently holds about 244 million XRP in balance, up 33% year-to-date.

As part of efforts to maintain transparency and prove its solvency, leading global crypto exchange OKX recently released its 47th monthly Proof of Reserves report, exactly a month after the 46th edition on Aug. 31. Data shows that these figures were verified on Sept. 8, 2026.

The report confirms that OKX backs customer balances for each crypto at more than a 1:1 ratio, with about $27.4 billion worth of cryptocurrency held in primary assets. This has been the industry requirement for crypto exchanges since the FTX implosion in November 2022.

OKX Holds 244M XRP in Exchange Balance

Data from the Proof of Reserves shows that OKX holds 244.5 million XRP currently worth a little above $366 million as balance. This represents a mere 0.359% of the circulating XRP supply, which on-chain data puts at 68.126 billion tokens. 

Of the 244.5 million XRP figure, the OKX platform maintains an exchange balance of 238.3 million XRP ($357.45 million), with 6.19 million XRP ($9.285 million) in third-party custody platforms.

Importantly, the 244.5 million XRP represents a 108% ratio of the balance held by customers on the OKX platform. For context, the latest data shows that OKX customers hold about 227.095 million XRP valued at an excess of $340 million on the platform.

Increase in XRP Balance

This 227 million XRP marks an increase of 13.4 million XRP in OKX customer balance over the past month, as the 46th Proof of Reserves report shows users held about 213.5 million XRP on OKX as of Aug. 11, with the exchange boasting a balance of 230.496 million XRP at the time.

In addition, the 227 million XRP figure represents an additional 61.4 million XRP added to customer holdings on OKX since the start of the year. For context, the first Proof of Reserves report for this year revealed that customers had 165.591 million XRP on OKX as of Jan. 17, 2026.

Meanwhile, the current exchange balance of 244.5 million XRP marks a similar spike in tokens held by the exchange itself, as this current figure represents a 33% year-to-date increase.

Notably, the exchange had a balance of 183 million XRP as of Jan. 17, with 167.922 million XRP held on the exchange, and 15.134 million tokens within third-party custody solutions. At the time, OKX held 111% of the total customer balance on its platform.

OKX Maintains 100%+ Ratio Across Assets

Besides its XRP holdings, the latest Proof of Reserves report from OKX shows that the exchange holds at least 100% of all customer balances across the available assets.

For instance, customers on the platform currently hold 139,865 Bitcoin (BTC) tokens worth $11.88 billion. Meanwhile, OKX’s BTC balance stands at 153,151 tokens valued at $13 billion, with 146,359 BTC on the exchange. This represents a 109% ratio of customer balances.

As for Ethereum (ETH), customer holdings sit at 1,785,866 tokens worth $5.162 billion, while OKX has a balance of 1,796,024 tokens ($4.8 billion), representing a 101% ratio. Further, customers hold 7,411,794 Solana (SOL) valued at $882 million. Meanwhile, the OKX exchange balance stands at $923 million, a 105% ratio.
